Hi, first time here, first time posting, please help me benefit from your wealth of knowledge!

This is my best guess as to something I heard, feel free to laugh hysterically at how badly I'm transcribing this. I put spaces where it seemed like the speaker paused.

Ha zunta haiyaku nannoka

Haazun da hayaku nani ka

It's something like that, or combinations thereof. Any ideas what this might be in English? That's the closest I can get to the romaji, and my beginner's books offer no help. The context of the sentence is someone catching someone else, that was trying to run away.

Thank you,
ALG

Well, 'hayaku' means 'early' or 'fast' and 'nani ka' means 'something', but the sentence seems wrong somehow. If there was a verb at the end, like 'hayaku nani ka nomimasu' (hurry up and drink something) it would make sense. Sunda could be the past tense of 'sumu', to 'finish', - 'hurry up and finish something' would make sense - but it is in the wrong place in the sentence.

Anyway, I have probably just confused you even more, so I will shut up!

The end portion is probably an overly ellided ならないか
