A bit tricky, but I guess the infamous 2ch forum would be one of the most reliable sources. Tons of trolls, but you can find history otaku as well. Your modestry or gratitude would be of your great help there.

Time travelling to the Muromachi in this thread only.

Oshiete goo is also a good forum to get answers from voluntary otaku or experts.

Thanks, pipokun-san! The thing is that these forums are in Japanese, and I know English only.

I just thought your questions were something like...
The third shogun, Yoshimitsu's real ambition; did he want to be Tenno?
Or was the 8th shogun Yoshimasa really the biological father of 9th shogun Yoshihisa?
Why don't you post your questions here or other English forums after studying the history?

I am no expert or historian, and I am more into Edo right now. But I guess others would help you.

There are many interesting historical events or stuffs in the Muromachi. I pick up a few.
Hino Tomiko
Her hubby was Yoshimasa and mother of Yoshihisa, and she was generally taken as an evil or greedy woman in the history.
Katana Sword and Japanese industry
Katana was one of the important export items to China then. The Muromachi period was when Japanese economy started to flourish at least around Kyoto area after adapting to money economy.@Also, agricultural technology was to develop. An Asian diplomat was said to be surprized to see a water mill in that culturally retarded island country.
The Golden Pavilion vs. the Silver Pavilion
Generally, I think Japanese people prefer the Silver one than the Golden one. It might be an idea to guess why.

I HAVE studied the history.

Katana was a very important export item. I believe the Golden Pavilion was built by Yoshimitsu and the Silver Pavilion by Yoshimasa.
