I've been listening to Jpop and Jrock music for some time, and a lot of people were talking about the legendary X-Japan. I listened to their music recently and it's pretty good! :cool: I like both their ballads and fast songs.
My girlfriend told me that "Forever Love" is still pretty popular in karaoke rooms in Japan. Especially with guys who want to impress the girls.
So, if you want to make a good impression on a Japanese girl, take her to a karaoke room. Sing "Forever Love" for her, and she'll be swooning in no time. :love:
And it doesn't matter if it's not on key or you don't get the words right. Just the fact that you're doing this is enough for them.
..Oh, and gaijins get extra points for doing this (^_^)
My girl expects me to sing this for her too, when I visit her this Summer. I told her to check if her insurance covers hearing devices...:mad:

is it worth it to spend amost 300 sg dollar on the last live 2nd hand dvd(release on 2002) or S$200 plus on new X japan return limited edition dvd? which one is more worth it?

Humm the Last Live one seems quite expensive to me. I think I'm remembering my conversion right, sg $ is aprox 3 times UK pound right?
I'd go with the new one if I were you. I got Last Live as part of their collection set and I'm sure it worked out not much more than they want for the one DVD.
I think the return limited edition sounds a much better deal.

Although, saying that, Last Live is hard to get hold of on it's own... so it might be slightly more expensive... but not that much more.

Where did you get that from ? I ordered my tickets almost right from the start but I don't know yet if I will have one until the lottery results are in (starting from February 5th).

I tought that as many people could order tickets for 5 days and a few days ago was the deadline. Obviously they won't be able to give everyone a ticket though.

They said it on Jrock Revolution... I think it was on a myspace bulletin. Apparently they sold more over Yoshiki mobil than they thought they were going to.

The lottery results were in today, and apparently I haven't made it.

I'm dissapointed that I won't be able to see X Japan's comeback concert, but I'm sure I will get to see them sometime. As expected thousands of people must have applied for a ticket, and I'm sure there are many Japanese fans out there who deserve it more than I do (I know X Japan for a year at most).

And..I save up almost 100 dollars ! Enough money to buy me all the albums of X Japan which was plan B :-)

I know that this was already discussed, but I didn't see anything in detail, so...!

I saw that this hasn't been mentioned in this forum yet, and I'm super, super excited about it! X-Japan -is- reuniting--and they're actually doing a three day concert festival at the Tokyo Dome at the end of March! (The 28, 29, and 30 to be exact.)

-Everyone- is getting so insanely excited about this. The concerts sold out through the fan clubs and the general public had -no- access to the tickets whatsoever. Just imagine it: 100,000 seats (about, anyway...) and sold out. Completely.

I've always really liked X-Japan (Yoshiki is my favorite~ <3), but what -really- endears him to me right now is that he's helping overseas fans go to the concerts. I was just... yeah. The fact that he knows about us and wants to give us a chance to see X-Japan for their reunion concert...? Um. That man is amazing!!

Anyway, if anyone wants to go/is able to go, Jrock Revolution is hosting the ticket stuff. You can find info on how to get tickets and sign up over at the Jrock Revolution site.
(Just to give everyone a head's up, though, the lottery closes on Friday night, so... run, run, run! x_x;; )

I applied for the lotterly, got the results today and...I WON ! :wave:

Made the payment today and got an e-ticket. JRock Revolution will let me know at what stand I should exchange them at Tokyo Dome.

I'm going to 'Night of Destruction' on March 28th, the very first comeback concert of X Japan :-).

I'll keep everyone posted to how it was like and I'll post some videos.

X-Japan is one of my favorite bands. Can't say which is the best song. There is so many alternatives. But have to say that new song I.V. sounds good. Except the music video makes me cry. hide's guitar<3 And soon it's been 10 years since hide died. It's my birthday :(

All three concerts were a huge success. The "Night Of Madness" concert was a bit of a chaos, due to technical problems it started late and it got cut a bit short, cause Yoshiki was too exhausted to continue the concert (had to be escorted from the stage) during Art Of Life.

X Japan suspends international tour due to Yoshiki's health
Sun, June 8, 2008 (5:46pm EDT)
Yesterday, it was reported that musician Yoshiki has suddenly canceled a scheduled visit to Korea and Taiwan, but the reason was unknown at the time. Today, it was learned that Yoshiki is currently suffering from some health problems, and as a result, X Japan's international concerts have been indefinitely postponed.
Yoshiki has been suffering from chronic disc herniation (also known as a "slipped disc") in his neck and is also experiencing tendinitis. For several years, he has been medically advised to wear a corset during his concerts to help address the problem, though he disregarded that advice for X Japan's reunion concerts at the Tokyo Dome in March. Despite suffering a separate injury during the first of those shows, he continued his energetic performances, and at the hide memorial event in May, he re-triggered the herniated disc.
According to one source, Yoshiki is at home in Los Angeles receiving medical treatment and is mostly immobilized. The extent of the injury this time is said to be serious. Yoshiki has previously had to take extended time off due to his condition, spending half a year in recovery in 1990 and nine months in 1996.
X Japan had scheduled concerts for Paris (July 5), Taiwan (August 2), and New York (September 13), with additional shows being planned. However, ticket sales have now been stopped. It is not yet known if and when the shows will be rescheduled.

X JAPAN live in Paris is POSTPONED
Avosbillets.com just annouced that X JAPAN concert in Paris will not take place on 22nd November 2008.

According to avosbillets.com there will be a new date for the show, but is has not been not announced yet.

There will be an official press release this afternoon. We will let you know as soon as we have more informations.

We know this is a big disappointment for everybody who has wanted to go there, and understand how everybody is feeling now, but we still intend to do our best to see X JAPAN in Europe some day.

And we hope that after the initial emotions, everybody will feel the same way, too.

An Café who are coming here this spring doesn't cost even a quarter of it, only around $60 in usd ...

2 new songs are fine and, yes, a new album would be better than releasing another best of (they released more best off than real studio albums!!). And they could also cover a hide song as well, such as "Misery" (that fits pretty well Toshi's voice). It'd be 5 more minutes material and a way to keep him in the band. And why not working on some of the 300 songs Yoshiki said he wrote for VUK ?

I still can't bring myself to like it... I think it's because I don't really like Hello Kitty so it's not gona go very far with me... it has far too many conotations of 'kawaiiiiiii'... i love x-japan and all of hide's solo projects.
i think their music is timeless and i still listen to x-japan & hide everyday, hey my car's number plate reads "HIDE" lol
i also think they are not completely gone... at least yet, they had the great 3 night comeback last march at the tokyo dome - man , i wish i could have been there !!!!! they are also touring through parts of asia, like i have seen a clip where they performed in hong kong.
yes, they moved on to do solo thing, like violet uk, rain, toshi & t-earth, etc, but they do come together for certain projects like "IV" , the ending title to the movie SAW IV, which is a great song.
the only thing that makes me sad, x-japan without hide, is like ...well, it's just not right. i miss hide quite a lot and even though they try to include him, a guitar, a plush doll, a hologram - all that can't compete with the real person.
he died way too young, he still had so much to give and i think, after his death x-japan just wasn't x-japan anymore.
i love all songs, x, kurenai, alive, rusty nail, art of live, but i am particulary fond of their ballads ! they are awesome....

The reasons for X JAPAN concert postponing is... the crack between members.
Heath unilaterally sent to the agency a statement about the termination of contract.

Fans of well-known rock band X JAPAN don’t conceal their anxiety: the group has postponed the concerts in Korea, scheduled for 21-22.03, and ticket selling to Tokyo Dome concerts (May 2-3). The official website only says, it was made "for different reasons", but what are the real causes of all events?

According to information received from people, who are working with a group, the cause of the whole mess is problems with a contract, appeared between HEATH (41) and his agency.
At the turn of last month through his lawyer HEATH suddenly sent to the agency a statement about the termination of contract. This was told by the person who was aware of just what happened.
"After HEATH unilaterally informed the agency about the dissolution of the contract, he demanded to pay him a fee directly from organizing committee, dealing with the group management."

What compelled HEATH to resort to such actions?

After the reunion of the group, in addition to agencies with which each of the group members entered into a contract, there is "X JAPAN Production Management Committee", which is engaged in the management of the group as a whole.

"Tokyo Dome concerts in March 2008 have brought us profit of several billion yen. As the current world tour has pledged to bring more profit, perhaps he wanted to create his own agency before the concerts in Korea" (these are the words of the man, who was aware of what happened).

So, at the moment we can see that some strange things are happening.
And it looks like frame-up from X JAPAN management. Not the first one. Or it's depressing incompetence, we do not know which is worse. Now, we explain what we mean.

What we have: four artists each had its own management at the time of X JAPAN reunion (plus HIDE management, 'cos he still stays X JAPAN member). After that the personal management are combined to form X JAPAN Production Management Committee, on behalf of which now makes all major unpleasant statements. This committee now manages the group.

The main indistinct issues at this point:
- Why HEATH filed documents for break his contract with Global Management? He had financial problems and he needs money, but under contract, he receives a pittance? He did not agree with the general policies of the group and no longer wishes to be given to this circus? He wants to leave the group and do solo career?
Another vague questions:
- Why Yoshiki still keep silence? If there is such a problem, what and why he is now rehearsing? If concerts was postponed.
- What Toshi, Pata and Hiroshi Matsumoto (as HIDE executor) think about? And Sugizo, as a new member of the group?

X JAPAN Production Management Committee representatives dissatisfied with HEATH behavior. They are not contented that he had filed papers for the termination of the contract through a lawyer. Two times. Thought the first time he has been denied.
We can not say that we completely know this person. Our knowledge is based on the couple of interviews and the lyrics of his songs. Not very impressive source. But we can say one thing that we had an image of quite serious person, loving his work and his fans. Especially them, everybody talks about it. He constantly communicates with members of his fanclub. HEATH is not the man that on a sudden whim may make stupid jokes like this a week before the concert abroad.
It is not HEATH who must blame now. Not him. We don't believe that slander.

Where is the logic?
Where is a statement from the HEATH himself?
Where is a statement from Yoshiki? It seemed to be a leader of this group.
Where are the statements from other members? Besides Toshi's one "do not pay attention to rumors" at his blog.
Where is the press conference?

Why somebody may think that Yoshiki needed to beg Director of Management Committee to admit HEATH to the band at the moment of X JAPAN reunion? What does it mean that HEATH was not band member right from the start? He was X JAPAN member and he is X JAPAN member now and forever!
Why the abolition of concerts looks like HEATH frame-up, an artist loving his fans and do not wish them such а trouble?

We only have rumors, half-truth and innuendos from X JAPAN Production Management Committee.
We don't believe in it.
The truth is still unknown.

We want to know who take responsibility for all this mess and slander. For all that disorder that we see. For postponed and delayed lives. For unreleased singles, DVD and concert photobook. For our anxiety.
We want to see X JAPAN in Asia, in Europe, in America. Everywhere. Happy and playing for us their beautiful music.
We don't want to know that there are people who only want to earn money on our Band.
Let them just play music for us!

Some interesting X Japan-related news have been released these last few days:

- hide tribute concert on May 4 with bands like SEX MACHINEGUNS or heidi. A special band consisted of George from Ladies' Room and Sugizo from Luna Sea, among others will play on that special night.
- Toshi and Yoshiki were yesterday in Tokyo to attend a press conference called "Imagine Future". Evene if the event wasn't related at all with X Japan, Yoshiki said that the new X Japan member will be announced at the Tokyo Dome on May 2. The event finished with an acoustic performance of "Forever love"

I think it could be a great song, if they will put some extra care in the guitar riffs and solo to make it more outstanding, now it sounds very unlike X.

And I'm sure you already heard the Kurenai with violin intro?
It is so beautifull, and the way the audience reacts just melts my heart, they sound so amazed and surprised.
Kurenai is by far my most favorite song of X, also the first I heard of them and played it non-stop back then, Kurenai was the great introduction to the japanese music scene so this song is kinda special to me.
It makes me very happy they let Sugizo take part in that song in his way and still respect hide.
