I have recently picked up a copy of Kenji Tokitsu's book called Miyamoto Musashi His Life and Writings and i was wondering if this book is a good book to learn of musashi.

How about reading it and letting us know?

Musashi also expresses his life through his own works the five rings. You can also read Eiji Yoshikawa's musashi for some factual fiction

well in this book it has a modern translation of the five rings in it. it is a rather large book and his whole life (supposidly) is in it. but i was just wondering if it is a good book to learn, as duff o josh stated, factual information.

I would personally learn about him through his martial arts treatsie The Book of Five Rings. It's very fascinating, actually. And kind of small. I have a pocket sized version! :D

I really like Eiji Yoshikawa's "Musashi"!!
Since I don't like History Class at all, this book makes me learn about japanese history without having to listening my brother' preaching,,,,what an excellent improvement for me,,I think,,, ^^
