Hi

So I'm planning to leave for Osaka soon, and I'd like to know if anyone here has any suggestions. How should I go about looking for cheap housing? Do you recomend staying in a hostel? Any suggestions about looking for work while I'm there (I'll be on a working holiday visa).

Thanks,

z.

You also might want to check out the Kansai Flea Market, a small weekly classified ads paper.

I also found my current apartment with apollo properties. (http://www.apolloproperties-osaka.com/)

I stayed at Melon House, the "sister house" of Banana and Orange Houses.
I dont know if info about Melon helps, but here you go anyway:
It was modest, but ok, had a tv, air conditioner, 2 rooms, kitchen etc. And the manager was really nice. Really close to to subway stations, shops and entertainment, yet a peaceful place. No complaints!
Depends of course on your demands..
