Just wondered if anyone from southern Kyushu, or more particulary, Miyazaki
could advise me on what kind of clothes to take for me and my family. How cold, or mild, is it in the winter? Will we need winter clothes? Will I need to buy a kero heater? Thanks in advance

There is a very easy way to check for temperature averages anywhere in the world. Check on the weather sites, such as Weather.com (http://www.weather.com/activities/travel/businesstraveler/weather/climo-monthly-graph.html?locid=JAXX0110&from=search)

Note that due to the humidity in Japan, it usually feels colder (in winter) or hotter (in summer) at equal temperature to the UK. So you'll definitely need warm clothes.

Thanks Maciamo for the link. I seem to get conflicting information from various sites and wondered if anyone had any personal/subjective advice. Thanks again M.
