Hello,
I was wondering if there are any forums where people
can exchange English Language books one to one in Kansai?
Buying English books is so expensive here, I would love to be
able to hook up with other foreigners who may have books they
want to swap.
Any information appreciated!

Hmm, I know that in Korea, there are a few cafe's that foreigners hang out in, and they offer informal book exchanges.
Also try the backpackers or YHA's they usually have some form of book exchange too.
Im not sure where my friend goes in Seoul, but she has found a great book exchange. Im guessing its in the foriegner area.
Why dont you put a notice up, and start up your own book exchange? Meet monthly, over coffee or drinks, and swap books. Im sure that there would be some japanese people interested in it too.
Or go to a university that has an English Lit course, and put your notice up there.... they do a LOT of very interesting reading.
Okay. I'm out.
And lots of books.
Thinking of taking a pic of the titles and posting it but haven't gotten round to it yet.

Hey, I'll be in Tokyo tomorrow. What kinds of English language books are you looking for? I could bring you a couple.

We're in Kansai! But thanks Bramicus!
wow!
you typed the whole thing out.
I was just going to take a photo and put it up.
How do you want to hook up? I think it's easier to just mail them to each other cuz I'm kinda busy lately and I don't think it's too pricey. Gives other folk 'round the country the chance to join in too.
Or if you're in the neighborhood... I'm Tengachaya, Osaka but seem to work all over the place...

I actually had a list of books already started, so I just had to clean it up a tad to make this!

Theres a great place in Tokyo near Shibuya (down that side of the yamanote-sen anyhow) that does book exchanges - good day books or something similar. Its well worth a look if you are in Tokyo anytime soon.
Finally got the pics and posted them though the quality may leave a little to be desired
