Link to Japan Top 40

Right. . .most of the music I heard on my trip was "ok" (just like much of the music here is "ok") - but there were two songs that kept repeating in my brain. . .Heaven by Ayumi Hamasaki, and this other song that I heard often (mostly in convenience stores and in an HMV). Now Im guessing (or hoping) that Japan Radio stations are as commercial as American and will play (the majority) of the top singles.

So, anyone have an English list of Japan's top SINGLES right now since I'd imagine the top spots change about as much as ours do. That would be tops if anyone could find one (I tried - didnt know what I was looking at).

i really hate the billboard chart, mostly becoz some hiphop songs are jus pure crap lol

How about the Oricon (http://www.oricon.co.jp/) chart? I think there's only a Japanese page, but it's not hard to navigate through.

Under Oricon's ranking section, there is a link to a romanji chart. There's also Mr. Heartbreaker's charts, which offers numerous links to different Japanese music charts. Click www.mnet.ne.jp/~hbr/japan_e.htm :-)
