I live in a boarding house at a girl's Catholic school (sorta funny since I'm a transexual pagan) and we have this talent show every year. At the end we're doing a choir performance and singing in different languages.
No Japanese. Even though they promised me.
"Oh, well no one here is from Japan, so instead we have Korean/Thai/Mandarin/Cantonese" blahblahblah
So of course, I had to retaliate by having my solo piece be in Japanese.

@Real: Japan Centre is really expensive My m8 brought 2 Jrock Magazines and it cost £34 >.<

HM4eva- Camden is really good, theres a place called Resurresction Records, but it's hidden in another shop and it took me ages to find it. I'll PM you the directions if you want. It's got a fairly good bunch of cd's like girugamesh, Gackt, Hyde, Diru, An Cafe Balzac, Wizard etc....
Theres another shop called Sai Sai in the stable market, that's hidden away in this little alley. It's got goth-loli clothes, jrock albums (imported stuff like Miyavi, Malice Mizer), mags and random merch like pins and shirts. Very pricey though. Theres another goth-loli shop opposite that I haven't been to though.

If you like stuff like Aural Vampire, Baal, Sisen etc, theres a really cool shop called Cyber Dog that has all those 'rave' kinda clothes. You can't miss it, it's huge. That's in the stables too.
HMV on Oxford street has some of the cd's/dvd's that have been released in Europe but not many. Ayabie and The Gazette are there! You're right, Japan centre is really pricey, I meant not to buy Shoxx but I couldn't resist! one issue is &pound;13!
If you're into anime and manga, theres an otaku paradise in TokyoToys. It's in that huge shopping centre in picadilly.

Man I'm so jealous. If a shop near me stocked Deg merch, I'd totally raid it:p
If I'm ever down that end of our fair isle, I'll be sure to pay a visit :D
