My current fav J-Rock song (and it's bound to change by this time next week) is "Dive to Blue" by L'Arc~en~Ciel with "The Final" by Dir en Grey in a close second.

My favorite Jrock song, and a song I consider to be the greatest rock song of all time, is "Art of Life (live version)" by X-Japan. That song is simply genius.

My other favorite Jrock song for sentimental reasons is "Anemone" by L'Arc~en~Ciel, even though it's not really "rock" per se.

My favorite Jrock group is D'espairsRay and my favorite D'espa song is "Yami ni furu kiseki" .

I like Baroque by Malice Mizer. It's not my "absolute favorite song"... because there's no way I could choose a favorite! I already listed loads of my favorites! But Baroque was the second jrock song I listened to and it really caught my interest because of the way in which it fuses classical with a sort of goth-rock style, and the unusual (it seemed to me at the time!) vocal line. So I have always a soft spot for this song.

Which version of it did you hear first? Tetsu or Gackt? I heard Gackt first (via Gackt-obsessive ex-boyfriend) but then I didn't hear it again for a year. My girlfriend gave me the Tetsu version somewhere inbetween there. I have to say I'm in love with the original version, Gackt's version is fine (well of course he is Mr. Perfection after all) but the Tetsu version is slower and just...I dunno.

If his voice sounds like its about to crack during the first 3 mins. of the song then it's Tetsu. Also the Tetsu version is 7 min. 9 sec. long whereas the Gackt version is 6 min. ? sec. long
