View Full Version : Curious gift..
I live in the states and I met a Japanese woman a month ago.. long story short we got emotionally involved and she now moved back to Japan. Question is regarding a gift that she gave me the day she left. She gave me her wash cloth and I'm not sure if it has any sort of substantial meaning or if she was just hinting that I need to take a shower. Is there something I am missing that someone could clue me in on?

That's kind of a weird gift, isn't it?
Well, it depends on if it's a new one or the one she used for herself I think. ;-)

Very true, misa. Did she use it first?
I like that kind of gift... ;-)
yes... she had used it, additionally she provided some soap that she had also used (confused)

It's obvious to me that she wants you to think of her when you smell her. It's a very personal and intimate token.
I didn't realize how much I cared about this girl until after her having been gone for almost 2 weeks. It is crazy how much happiness can be condensed into a months time. I asked her this last weekend about the gift and she said that it was a pledge <something something something> didn't catch the rest of it due to a bad phone connection.
.... hope she comes back!!

That's a funny gift, but in the nicest way! :cute: It's intimate and cute, too. It sounds like she cares about you a lot! I hope you see her again soon and you get it together. :-)

I think it is important that you reassure her about the gift... she may be feeling embarrassed depending upon how you questioned it... perhaps you could even reciprocate...
I know I never give a gift I wouldn't like in return...
