Furigana

Does anyone know an easier way of getting furigana to go where you want it?

Japanese language word processing sofware often has this feature. I have used it in Microsoft Word, for example.

Do you mean for using furigana on JREF?

I am trying to find an easy way to make furigana appear above the kanji that they represent, not way off to the left.

Word processing especially, but Jref as well (It's very time-consuming)

Where can you get the word processing feature from? Is it on the MS Office disc or do you have to get it from somewhere else?

You might have to install some extra stuff into word in order to use the phonetic guide feature. Assuming you already have it installed, all you need to do is select the text you want to show ruby characters for,

go to format>asian layout>phonetic guide

and type the text you want to show up in small characters and hit ok.

I'm not sure if there is a way to do this automatically or not, but this will link the ruby characters to your text even if you move it around.
