I guess you all know the famous anime and manga "hana yori dango" :-)
well..they made a live action dorama..and it's sooo cool :haihai:
"Jun" from "Arashi" acts in it, ("shin sawada" from "Gokusen") :love:

i saw the first episode..and it was awesome :bravo: ...i really recommend it!!

oh!!..another thing!!..i mentioned in a thread something about a "Honey and Clover" movie..Well, it's true..and the hero is "Sho" from "Arashi" :cute:

Really? I've just finished watching the anime series (called Boys Over Flowers in the States) and liked it a lot! Tsukushi's travails with Tsubasa and the rest of the F4 made for one heck of an engrossing drama. Didn't know there was a live action version out over in Japan! Most interesting! I wouldn't mind watching it myself

I love this drama, too! I actually haven't seen the anime or manga, but it probably helps so that I don't compare the drama with them.
In fact, I started watching Hana yori Dango because I'm a fan of Arashi.. :relief:

Rukia: I found the anime to have been quite enjoyable. If any anime was deserving of being called a soap opera, it was Hana Yori Dango. If you can find it where you live, invest in it. The series is certainly worth checking out.

I've been watching this as well, watched up to ep5 last night.

I've also seen the Taiwanese live action which they made a few years ago (Meteor Garden), which had slightly different story developments probably because it was a longer series compared to the current Japanese one.

I dont really like the acrtress who plays Shizuka, she doesnt seem as pretty as she is supposed to be made out to be, and still havent gotten used to the Japanese actors who play F4. (They look a bit girly. :P )

yeah!!..his hair is weird..it was long!!..but i guess it's because of the character in the manga..his hair is short and wavy right?!
i didn't like his character in "Gokusen" though!!..he was like (the cool guy who doesn't talk much) :P..u know what i mean!!..but in "HYD" he's a dynamic, round character..i mean when i saw episode 6 yesterday..i noticed how much his character or let me say "personality" has developed!! :souka:

yeah!!..Tsukasa's mother is so "evil" :auch:, the ending was good, but I didn't like the part of Tsukasa and Makino :( (SORRY Budd, I know I'm a spoiler :p)

PLOT.
Tsukushi is a new student at Eitoku Gakuen - an exclusive school attended by rich families' children. Being poor, she is always bullied and sabotaged by her schoolmates. Things become worse when she crosses the path of F4 (a group comprises of the 4 richest guys). And along the way, she makes friend with Rui, a person who has helped her often, and falls in love with him. Shortly after, her head rival, Tsukasa, also reveals that he likes her. This turn-around situation puts Tsukushi in a very difficult position as she doesn't know what to do.

Don't know if you've heard about it yet but a special was also released in Japan with the first episode of Hanadan 2 about the Makino family in New York...not much to actually do with the plot apart from Tsukushi being in NY but it was interesting and the new Op is played in the background at one point! Looking forward to watching the first episode when it finishes downloading...

Yes I know I'm resurrecting a dead topic but have patience please I saw this dorama just 2 month ago. :-) believe it or not i really like it. I also watch a Taiwanese version. somehow I like more the Japanese one. Maybe because is more naive and innocent somehow.
