It seems that klaha is forgotten within the standards of this forum XD. Is anyone a fan? He is currently working on his solo career, but soon to return as the singer of Malice Mizer again. His solo work is amazing. Tho, I have only downloaded a few songs, just recently. His singing seems very elegant, rich. He sort of reminds me off Gackt, although a different singer all together. he was the backing singer when Gackt was in the band I hear. :blush:

Yup Klaha has a good voice! I love his song even tho i have only a few :relief: My fav is Scape ~with transparent wings~ :-) And Klaha's voice by MM is not that bad also! Actually i like it a lot!:p My fav from MM is Kioku to Sora. Uploading it right now!

He's going to return to Malice Mizer??! Wow...
He is sort of the vocalist of MM that I respect the most(for some reason). I know people say he just tries to copy Gackt though and it might be true, but whatever.
Havn't heard his solo stuff, but I heard it was very poppy, so I doubt I like it. But Klaha is still cool. :wave:

I will admit that at first I did not like Klaha...at all. Gomen :gomen: But I have grown to really like him (it took seeing the "Beat of Blood" PV to do it though). His voice is still not my favorite in the world (OPEN YOUR THROAT PLEASE!!! AN OPERA SINGER SHOULD KNOW BETTER!!! :bawling:) but on the right song he can sound really good ("Seinaru Koku Eien no Inori" is one). I've only heard him when he was with Malice Mizer but I would like to hear what he sounds like solo.
So all and all I do like him. Finally. :-)

I liked his voice a lot, when he was with Malice Mizer. What little I've heard of his solo career, I don't like so much - not that his voice became bad or anything, but the music just doesn't appeal to me so much. :(

And yeah, agreed about the throat thingummajigy! :singer:

My God, his throat is so closed!! It's painful as a Stage Actress (in which open throat projection is everything) and as someone who takes Musical Theatre training to hear someone strain their vocal cords like that. He's s'possed to be an Opera Singer, he should know better. KLAHA OPEN YOUR THROAT!!! God, good thing he isn't gay 'cause with a throat THAT closed I bet he has one hell of a gag reflex. Okay, sorry, that was uncalled for but I couldn't help it. It's just that he would have such a beautiful voice if he'd just open his damned throat. It's depressing to watch talent go to waist.

Agree with you Hyde... He COULD be better :D But well, when i first heard his voice i thought it was kind of like Gackt's. When i was listeng his songs for a while i realized Gackt is much better. :-)

I don't think he sounds much like Gackt personally, Gackt has a distinct way of hitting certain notes and his voice has an open and round sound. Sometimes Klaha's voice is open but for the most part no. It's depressing. His voice is also lower, maybe not actually lower but it sounds lower. I guess deeper is more of the word I'm looking for.

Klaha and Miyavi would have to take the cake for worst english in my opinion. They both seem to speak a language all of their own!!! But yeah, I love Klaha. It is saddening that he doesn't use his voice to it's fullest, however. I find it strange how everyone thinks that he tries to copy off Gackt... I've never noticed anything like that. I don't think he sounds the slightest bit like Gackt, but that's just me. Havent heard his new stuffage though. I've heard it's really pop-ish, and that scares me. I can't imagine Klaha singing pop...:souka:

Errrr... the reddish color ones are from the Marchen album. And from the writing, looks like the last 3 are, too - at least, I seem to remember when I was saving them that they were scans from some magazine or other. So, probably an article about the album. :clueless: The fifth one is from a radio interview.

Hmmm, I like Klaha's looks (although personally, I like his gothic MM look, but that's just a matter of style preference, hehe). I've heard some people in other places say that they think he's ugly O_o I can't say I agree with that; maybe he doesn't have like total instant-death beauty or little-boy cuteness, but... well, I like him. :blush: Put it this way, if I woke up next to him I'd probably make him coffee. :-)

Yeah, that's how I meant it, too. I just liked his goth style because, umm, I find that style attractive. But in terms of what you could call an 'objective judgement' (lol) he looks equally good without it. :-)

i like his gothic style a bit more too :sorry: and yeah a lot of people dont notice klaha,just mana and gackt :okashii: mana and gackt are pretty but theres others in the band not only them :(

Saying someone's Gothic Lolita is a very vage and gen. term. And Mana's become more Vampiric Gothic of late versus Beautiful Gothic. He used to be all about the white and blue now it's more about the black and gray.

Actually I heard Clever Sleazoid before I saw the vid and I didn't have too much trouble with the English. Sure it is not great but Klaha and Miyavi are WAY worse. At least you can hear that Kyo's not speaking Japanese when I hear Klaha and Miyavi I offten just blame the fact that I can't understand them on my limited vocab or the rapid Japanese. But then I'll find out it's English and I'm like "WTF???" Honestly, it doesn't even sound like Engrish nevermind English.

That is for real?!? I heard it, that Klaha he was an Opera singer... but I thought, perhaps it's an exaggeration that becomes over the internet. Maybe he had some lessons, or, maybe he sung a few times in the Opera, but not for professional. But... that is true? :o

I see nothing in news that he had an accident, so I think that is just a shock nothing. :-)

I love Opera too. When I was nine I used to walk around the house singing...and quite well apparently (though I don't believe it). My dad once thought my singing was a CD :souka: that would have been a mighty crappy CD

Hey - I've got a video of a Pride of Mind (Klaha's first band) live! :silly:
I've watched about one-third of it... it starts of really weird, with a famous classical piece playing (I can't remember the name of it ><... that sinister one that goes "da-da-da-da da-da dum, da-da dum, da-da dum... you know the one...), and just blackness on the screen... for quite a while... until I'm thinking "is this really avi file or what?!?"

The actual live is kinda bad quality video and the band... well... very keyboard-based in a way that isn't really my cup of tea >< And Klaha's voice is more wobbly than a jelly in an earthquake. But it's... interesting... :relief: Like I say, I haven't watched it all because it's late and I'm not feeling too good, but I've got it on filefactory uploading overnight for you folks if you're interested... :-)

Who knows, good luck to him anyway. I honestly think Malice Mizer shouldn't come back with Klaha. He brought them to a new level which I don't really think suits them, the whole gothic sound. Yeah they had that sound before, but Klaha has something which Gackt-san does not. I'm not saying Klaha hasn't got a good voice cause his voice is awsome, with singlles such as Beast of Blood. However that is the only song I like of the Klaha-era so far. In general I am more attracted to the Gackt-era songs - Le ciel, je te veux, Regret etc. It be great for Malice Mizer to come back, just not with Klaha, unless they have some good line up of songs lol.

The chances of Gackt coming back is however very low. =( Just have to survive on his solo stuff which i like. ^^ Whether Gackt does pop or rock, he is still a genious. :blush:

Kozi once said in an interview that Malice Mizer was over totally. I forget the exact words (tsk tsk I'm slacking! :D ) but that was the gist of it. So I think it's just a rumour.

About the whole Malice Mizer thing- I have a few interviews with Mana where he says that a reunion is a very real possibility, but is not currently up for discussion. One interview is from a few years ago, but another is from either this year or last. I, personally, am not looking forward to a Malice Mizer reunion. To me, it seems like a disaster in the making. I love Malice Mizer, but I think it should remain a thing of the past.

I would pay a ton of money to see a Malice Mizer Reunion tour. But I feel you on maybe it is not a good idea. It sounds nice but thats to many egos clashing, especially if Gackt is involved, but Gackt coming back to MM seems very unlikely seeing as he is enjoying being Japan's Poster Boy.

I love MM especially the Klaha era.

Yeah, I dont think the Gackt things gonna be happening anytime soon... Him and Mana aren't on the best of terms, and from what Ive heard, he's not exactly buddy-buddy with some of the other members either. Also- I dont think Mana and Kozi are friends anymore... It makes me sad...:(

I also think Malice Mizer is best left to the past... it's sad, because they were a good band, but when something is over it's over, and it's not possible to go backwards or to recreate something. I think it's nicer to see the individual members go their own ways and do different things.

Kozi had said there was no chance of MM getting together again, and I don't think that he or Gackt would want it (although of course I can't know how people feel), but I think it's sad if he and Mana aren't friends anymore, because they were friends from before MM... :(

Really we have to face the fact that each band we know off, will in fact split and go their seperate ways some way or another. It even happens with bands here [UK]. Like I'm pretty sure 99.9% of Japan never thought X Japan would actually break up, but of course Toshi, hide, Pata and Heath[dope headz] wanted to have a bigger solo career, and Yoshiki wanted to focus on his Violet UK [¬_¬] project. Luna Sea also split up, was it sugizo that was the reason? he has had a really good solo career so far.

In the case of Malice Mizer, Gackt left the band because he wanted to be more independant, which paid off. Then there was the death of Kana, which brought the remaining 3 members in confusion as to what to do. Then Klaha came. But of course now they all want to do well, Kozi having a successful solo career, Mana continueing with his band Mois Dix Moix [don't kill me if it is spelt wrong :o] and for a while managing Schwarz Stein. And Klaha is also doing averagely well. In my opinion hsi songs are really good. very original.

i dunno about Mana. From what i hear, he is very bossy and a grumpy boots! :lol: he fired two of his bands members over a disagreement recently. one of the band members is now in HEATH of X Japan's, solo band. I don't mean to put hopes down guys, but I don't think it's going to happen, and I agree with kinsao in the fact it would be better off leaving it be. Unless it is official they get back together...with Gackt...:(

Yes Mana and Kozi. But Gackt and Mana aren't on the best of terms either at the minute...:okashii: who knows why though. Might be because of jealousy of one another, cause all 3 of them have done really well in their solo careers. Or might be because of Gackt leaving Malice mizer, sort of betraying them I guess.

I like Klaha better! And I believe that Klaha sings:singer:just as good solo as when he was in Malice Mizer. I will admit I do like his Malice Mizer songs better, because those songs were darker. Still, I like his new stuff too. Of course, everyone has a right to their own opinion.

You know I think it's mean when people diss Klaha just because if they like him it would be some sort betrayal against Gackt. It's stupid! What if Klaha came before Gackt in Malice Mizer or what if Klaha was never in Malice Mizer but in a different band just as good? Your opinions about Klaha, little Gackt fan girls would be totally different. So before you peoples condemn Klaha make sure it's founded in good reason not just because of the Gackt factor.

I've got a lot of respect for Klaha's solo work. Despite the fact that it's a bit too "pop" for my personal taste, he has made some more experimental, jazzy-ish songs. He seems to have gone his own way and all power to him for it. :cool:

I actually liked his voice in MM better than Gackt's - it's very hard to choose as they are both good singers, but something about Klaha's voice just appealed to me more. :-) And his solo work has a good dash of uniqueness.

Gackt's solo works are more polished and friendly in some ways but Klaha's have something more- more- *dunno how to describe it* -some kind of twist, a difference in some of his works that makes me find him more original than Gackt, or at least than the latest Gackt (cos some of his earlier works like Nine Spiral pretty cool imo :) )

I think you're refering to the Bara no Seidou songs here? As Klaha has stated in some interviews, those songs were already written for him, he just had to sing them. Which was something he found quite a challenge. IMO he does a great job there, but you're ofcourse free to have your own opinion.
To me he has one of the most amazing voices ever, both in the MM songs as in his solo works. And let's not forget Pride of Mind ^^ I can recommend you to listen to his solo works. In Sayonara he sings with so much emotion that it at least bring me to tears and if I would have to pick another song where I'd love his voice it'll either be Stay in the Rain or Souten Hakugetsu.

*sighs* I surely hope he'll let his fans know something soon. I think basically all his fans are worried like death about him, specially with all those rumours going on. (Though the one about him being ask as M10M new singer wasn't a bad rumour ;) )

I'm glad to hear that Klaha is going to be making music this year. I have a feeling he's got more potential than he's shown us so far in his solo work, and I do like his voice. :-)

HIs voice is really lovely...and very special in a good way^^ I've only hears a few of his soloworks though and I think that he was better in Malice mizer but perhaps I heard the wrong songs :?

God, I absolutely adore this mans voice. It's what officially got me hooked on Malice Mizer. In my opinion though, not quite as good as Kozi's (i'll save that for the Kozi thread however...)

As for klaha songs...

He was the best MM singer in my opinion. I know I said it, I really prefer Gackt as an solo artist and Klaha and Mana were also the ones who got me into MM. When I heard Shiroi I was in love. I listened to that song non stop forever!! Klaha, Klaha, Klaha!! *squeals like fan girl and faints*

Yeah it is so hard to find a favorite from them. I love all their songs!! They were the first Japanese band I started listening too and "Au revoir" and "Shiroi" were the first songs! LOL!

hmmm still no news about him eh?:(...pretty bad...you think he's ever gonna return? it would be a pitty if he remains 'silent'....though I am not into the pop-sound of his music but the fact is that I am able to listen to it without the need of switching to another song and I even like it...I'm not into pop but Klaha's music is quite nice...and I just read some older posts...about 'not opening his throat'...if he is an opera singer then he really should know that...but maybe he didn't want to sound opera-like...I like his voice in MM and who knows...maybe the 'true opera vocal' would've interfered with the music...but that's just my personal opinion:-)
