Imperial court dress is based off Chinese court dress and dates from the Heian period (794 - 1185). Other than a nice point of comparison, is there a point you wanted to make 4321go?

This is a nice little video i found of 2 assistants dressing a young lady in a Heian period 12 layer kimono if anyones interested- must be very hot to wear those kimonos, there are even some reports that some nobles wore as many as 24 layers of kimono :shock: :relief: ;

scrolling back and forth, the headdress looks similar, and they're both wearing robes. I can see the influence but they aren't overwhelmingly similar.

Where are these photos from? they obviously aren't from the Meiji and Qin eras, though the clothing might be accurately recreated.
