Hello all
I am trying to establish contact with nightclubs in Tokyo for a great promotion that we are running.
Does anyone know of a good person to contact? Ideally I want to speak to a company/person that would operate several clubs, but independent clubs would be great to.
If anyone has any contact details or suggestions for good clubs then please can you reply?
Many thanks
Neal

Is this one of those things that involves the DJ population in Tokyo increasing? I think they have that covered.
lol, maybe it's just one of those things that involves the population of Tokyo increasing, period.

Hi guys
I am not a DJ!!
I'm doing some work with a few companies in Tokyo, and we are looking to include nightclubs and beauty salons in our promotions.
This obviously involves contacting the owners and managers, but I don't have any details of chains and things.
Are you able to help please?
Thanks
try cyberjapan first off
if a member posts and contributes more, there will be more names dropped (maybe)

If you tell me exactly what your promotions are I might be able to point you in the right place. The scene operates differently in Japan. You won't find one entity that runs many clubs, but you are very likely to find one person/entity that throws events at many different clubs.

Hi, thanks for the response.
It involves working with brand names and nightclubs. If I could contact someone who operates events at different venues that would be ideal - would you be able to point me in the right direction for this?
Many thanks
Why not try talking to a Japanese radio station? They often sponsor events at clubs so I'm sure they have the connections. There is a famous one in Kansai called ZIP FM.

Well, the people I know are already well-sponsored. In fact, I think one guy redid his business b/c he was sponsored by a big name brand.

Hi, it's not a case of sponsorship.
I can't go too far into the actual promotion, but we basically communicate to customers of a particular client/brand using details of nightclubs, beauty salons, golf clubs etc.
The customer will receive a benefit, the nightclub will be featured free of charge and the client will make their customer happy.
It is unlikely to be something that they have heard of, but is free and wonderful - already working across the world. If I can get in touch with someone who promotes nights at various venues, that would be really useful.
Thanks
www.cyberjapan.tv should provide you with lots of information, just dig into the tokyo club-guide and go to the club sites, find e-mail addresses etc.
If you get in touch - in a positive tone- with one person from clubscene, you´ll get in touch with the other ones too. That world is quite tiny after all..
