Hrrm.. as far as J-pop goes, I really dig Psy.S. A friend of mine sent me a bunch of mp3s a few months back and now I have to find some albums... :)

I also like the sound that Balzac has. It's like a recreation of The Misfits... but in a more positive manner than the 90's `Fits.. :o

I like Gackt, L'Arc~en~Ciel, GLAY, and hide the most. All of them have so many great songs. It's just too hard to pick favorites.

One of my recent favorite groups is PornoGraffiti... the diversity of styles that they perform well is tremendous! From the pure pop of "Music Hour" to the light ska of "Mugen" to the dark trippiness of "Uzu"... you really can't go wrong!

I have to say Hikaru Utada is my favorite J-pop singer. She has everything needed to be a great singer; great voice, great looks, respect for her fans, she can move you with her songs, and she doesn't have to dress trashy like many female singers in America.
