Crazy Anime Plotline!

In all the years I've watched, collected and followed anime, I don't think I've heard of a plotline as incredible as this one for a show that just came out in Japan called Kasimasi: Girl Meets Girl which is based on a manga series. Here's the Reader's Digest version of the show:

Boy loves girl....boys confess love to girl....girl turns him down cold....while walking home from school, heartbroken boy is killed in crash of alien spaceship....remorseful aliens use their technology to ressurect boy, but accidentally change his gender....now female, boy returns to school where girl comes on to him because she's a lesbian....

Pretty wild, ain't it? Our friends over in Japan certainly have incredibly vivid imaginations to concoct something like that! Whether or not Kasimasi makes its way to the States is anybody's guess, but in light of the success of Gravitation, who's to say it wouldn't have an audience?

By the by, I just read on Anime News Network today that the Kasimasi manga has been licensed and will soon make it's way to the States. So, can the anime be far behind?

Thanks, Mycernius! As fate would have it, the first volume of the Kasimasi manga went on sale here in the States last week, and the anime's been licensed and will follow in early 2007. But I'll swing by YouTube and check it out!

Interesting, dunno if I'de go out my way to get it though if it wasnt fairly easy to get, or if I was tight for cashola while having somethnig else on my to-buy list.

All round good, didnt really pull me in like Ranma, but good animation.

The dude before his changed seemed WAY too feminine, the voice was a girls, but perhaps this is a vital point of the series, that the guy was a girl trapped in a dudes body, kinda like how folk who want a sex change claim to bein mind of the opposite gender, and science has proven that in such people, a region of their brain seems around the same dimensions as a member of the gender they profess to be.

All in all, I'de watch it if it was avaliable and not a total rip-off price wise.
