traveller need to use POCKET PC/WM in Japan

I need to run POCKET PC application and flat-rate data service plan during my travel to Japan. But I'm visiting as a tourist without visa. Is this impossible?

I'm not sure what you are asking... as a tourist in order to obtain services for a device at a residency, you'll need a gaijin registration card. You can still get this card with only a tourist visa, however.

Celular technologies are not flat rate, but if your pocket pc supports some sort of a/b/g wireless you may be able to find a internet cafe... though I didn't see a lot of them, not nearly as often as I've seen them in other countries.

Thanks~~ I don't know I can get the registration card without a visa. But the problem is Japan telecom companies don't allow travellers use their own pocket PC phone even it's a 3G one. And they don't offer pocket Pc phone for rental. I have no idea at all now. I found Vodaphone seems to have a flat rate add-on.

I don't know however that they won't let you use your own device, that may be specific to vodaphone, (also, there is KDDI & Ntt Docomo), as there are used mobile phone shops.

It might also be specific to pc phones, otherwise you wouldn't be able to bring back in your old mobile phone.
