Just about the prettiest type of tree you can grow in your garden, the Japanese maple is outstanding for its shape and its vibrant autumn colouration
Has anyone out there got any favourites?
This one is Acer Palmatum 'Okagami' in its autumn coat

I also have a beautiful Japanese maple in my backyard. When I first moved into this house, I found it under a huge amount of wisteria that the previous owner had let wrap around it. We spent many hours battling that wisteria to reveal this beautiful Japanese maple underneath.

I have many favorites. I love lilacs, Rose of Sharon, my dogwoods, sweet bush, and weeping cherry trees. I will try to post a picture later.
