But I know where there is some more at it weighed 35 lbs and I know where some more are I was just wondering if anyone knows some Japanese Carp Recipes?Carp in Japan is served mostly at traditional restaurants and inland inns (not for home cooking) since it should be super-fresh, or alive in order to reduce muddy smell. Typical dishes are:

• umani (http://www.sakucci.or.jp/koipj/ryori/img/pic_umani.jpg) (simmered fillet in sugar&soy and sake&mirin)
• koikoku (http://www.sakucci.or.jp/koipj/ryori/img/pic_koikoku.jpg) (simmered in miso, sake, mirin and soy)
[Make sure to remove gallbladder carefully before cooking]

carp arai (sashimi chilled in ice water,) soy dip with grated ginger instead of wasabi, or miso sauce dip

Wow Jason. What a whopper !

Here is a picture I took in Nagasaki. It is Carp soup - the chunky variety.
Those recipes sound very tasty. Maybe I will go and have Sushi today !
