On another forum i was discussing kimono and obi and someone asked what is the difference between tsuke obi and pre-tied obi and what exactly "tsuke" means, as far as i am aware pre-tied and tsuke obi are the same thing (they are often referred to as the same thing on ebay or online kimono/obi stores), but was exactly does tsuke refer to (just want to be on the safe side with this without assuming anythin wrong) :relief: ?

I think you're right!
"Tsuke" comes from the verb "tsukeru" meaning "to attach." So, tsuke-obi means obi with attachment.
