!RULES!

1. 2 or more players.

2. the 1st person who goes has to make a beginning of a sentence in Japanese…there can only be 3 words per person (or less, not including particles)Also, words in Japanese that are more than one word (otoko no ko) that mean one word (boy) are counted as 1 word.

Ex: This was a little boy’s… = kore wa chiisa na no otoko no ko no…

Since Japanese sentence order is different, the last person to go for that sentence makes the verb. That means that the last person can make “was” “is” or something else that fits.

3. Only 3 people per sentence.

Ex:
1st person: kore wa chiisa na no otoko no ko no…
2nd person: …okaasan no inu no…
3rd person: …udon deshita.

The sentence has to make sence, not THAT much sence, but not something like, “The dog was a nose’s chicken little.” It CAN be something like, “The cat ate the toilet’s pet.”

4. PLEASE write in Hiragana/Katakana/Kanji. If you write in Kanji, in ( ) put the hiragana.

I know that we've left this behind but I thought I would try and explian it anyway. In gaijinian's first sentence the child was eaten by the monster, right? Now, 化物の腹 means the belly of the monster. It seems you got that bit right. ・・・の中 is used to mean inside something. たとえば・・・　かばんの中 inside the bag. はこの中　inside the box. 化物の腹の中　inside the monsters belly. The particle で　is used to tell us where an action is taking place, meaning that the child was going to do something inside the monster's belly.

ummm, ok, there is no goblin in the story we started....we started a new one...and did you read the directions? you have to make it so if can only be 3 people per sentence...not less, not more, but exactly 3 people....that's what makes this game more challenging...(well not really.....)

OK, fair enough. I was assuming the chicken idea was down to its final
goodbye, but we'll wait and see how the plot thickens from here before restarting anything too scary or complicated. :relief:

If we say 'once apon a time there were three little pigs' the part we care about is that they are 'three little pigs', not that they 'were' so we would use が。　Every day these pigs would go shopping in town. Here the important part is what they are doing, not that the pigs are doing it, so we use は。　

eg. 昔昔１匹のドインクがいました。　このドインクはとて も小さくて、とてもかわいいドインクでした。

It looks fine to me. And I'm sure it is if it was a native speaker you talked to. :relief:

You may also want to try running some of these posts through an online translator first just to get more of a rough idea what is being said.
