My friend and me were wondering something.
HE was teasing a girl asking her if she was jealous about him liking another one and received the follwing answer:

やきもちって！
ぶぶぶぶー！

Can anyone tell me the meaning of this "te"? ^^'
I must admit I'm kinda confused...

It's a casual form of quoting.

like:
みつこさんは来年ごろにアメリカに行きますって。
Mituko san said next year she will go to america.

Close, I believe it's closer to a contraction of 〜というのは. It's a very common in casual speech.
