Translation help

[Strawberry]

Hello everyone, I was wondering if you could help with a translation. I didn't want to use an online translator as I'm not sure how accurate the grammar would be.

The phrase is quite simple; "You and Me."

Any idea what this would be in Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji if possible?

There are a few different words used in Japanese for the English "you." If you could tell us who this is for or referring to, (assuming one particular person) anyone can do a translation. :)

Thanks for your comments. 'You' is referring to a female loved one, like a partner, the 'me' is male, if that matters. Hope that helps.

First thing that comes to my mind is 俺たち二人 (oretachi futari). That's a bit loose, though, and I'm not sure it conveys the meaning you want. :relief:

There are a number of variations:

あなたと私 (anata to watashi) - safest and politest choice & neutral in gender. It also used by a female.
君と僕 (kimi to boku) - You (girl) & me (boy)
お前と俺・俺とお前 (omae to ore; ore to omae) - You (girl) & me (boy) and vice versa said in rough language. In addition, it is used between two people to suggest the intimacy of the relationship and mostly in privacy.

If you aren't going for a completely literal translation, what about just 私たち watashitashi、僕たち bokutachi、or 俺たち oretachi (basically, "us," meaning two or more people, including the speaker).

there's also この二人 kono futari, the two of us, or damicci's response.

I might point out that "you and me" isn't grammatically correct in English, it would be "you and I"

I didn't want to presume how the speaker would have identified himself, but that would have been my first suggestion too, followed by ore and omae.

I was thanking the same thing but I figure in japanese it wouldn't make a difference, since me and I or dependent on context.

Ed; Oh yeah, the grammar in 'You & Me' is no problem, it's more of a 'phrase' thing really isn't it, like 'You and me versus the world'.

I think in that case you would have to use XXX のうちのふたり。(Two people out of the group). Watachitachi no futari to iu hyogen wa kiita koto ga nai desune. Tadashii ka dou ka wakaranaindesuga tabun mezurashii desune. :relief:
