There's a problem with my installation of Windows, that means IME won't install on my computer... which is really frustrating. However, I used to use another program years ago that was a stand alone program, which didn't require any component of Windows to be added.

Does anyone know a program similar to this or where I could find one for free??

Thanks!

It's a fair bet that this topic has been covered extensively on a board about Japan and learning the language. Please try a search next time.

JWPce requires no special language support, and it's free. Just search for it on any major search engine.

If your computer can handle Japanese text, you can copy and paste from JWPce too.

NJStar Japanese WP is another good one - www.njstar.com

Both programs - NJStar JWPce have in-built EDICT dictionary (updatable), so you can look-up the words and then paste.
