I'm interested in studying abroad with two friends from other colleges. None of our colleges have "sister colleges" in Japan to refer us to. Does anyone know which study-abroad programs accept students of any college? Is there a list somewhere, or a thread I missed?

You study through an exchange program. But you don't have to go to the sister school of Sophia University to study there. You just apply for the program and if you get accepted into it you can study there. http://www.ciee.org/program_search/program_detail.aspx?program_id=55

Okay, cool! Thanks for explaining.
Wow thanks for explaining! My school has partnership for exchange with numerous Japanese universities, but the cost of staying Japan is so high...I heard a rough estimate of at least HK$100000 per yr if I opt for (assuming I am accepted into) the exchange programme...thats like more than 2 times my annual sch fees...and I still have to pay my school fees to my university during my stay...haha sorry for complaining here...it's juz so disappointing...perhaps I should juz try applying to some summer programmes...
