I think Mana is a talented musician... in the 'bands' section there are threads for both Moi dix Mois and Malice Mizer. :p

I certainly admire his creativity and business sense (in combination! ^^) for creation of his particular style and clothing line. :cool: Also I'm a fan of the 'music meets theatre' approach of Malice Mizer (and, of course, many other VK and eroguro bands). :)

I've never really heard anything by mana, but as he gets older he doesn't really have his femine features as much anymore, or maybe it was just the pictures in GLB 32 or 36 where he didn't look much like a girl.

I think that's partly to do with the style he was wearing, though (although maybe he does look a little less 'girly' these days). Y'know - not little loli dresses any more... but I thought he looked rather good on those less girly pictures! :blush:

As for his music, I prefer Malice Mizer's music to that of Moi dix Mois, simply because it has more variety in it (Moi dix Mois is good, but the songs sound quite similar; I prefer to listen to them scattered among other songs where as MM you can listen to one song of theirs after another after another...).

Oh my, he's the prince of my dreams also :) He's the most beautiful man I've ever seen...with or without makeup. He perfectly captures the essence of femininity, yet has a definite delicious air of masculinity, all in perfect balance. I dont think he looks as if he's getting older at all. He's completely ageless to me. He's probably around his mid - thirties, so he's still a young man. I want to be just like him! Moi dix Mois is very good. But in my opinion not as good as Malice Mizer. They lack the varity that Malice Mizer was very known for. Its still nice though, and I'm waiting for the new album to come out later this month. But unlike Malice Mizer, I just dont find myself listening to them as much as I would Malice Mizer.

People often say that Moi dix Mois' music all sounds the same and doesn't have the same variety as Malice Mizer. :/ What they don't realize is that Moi dix Mois is all Mana composing everything while Malice Mizer was everyone working together, hence Moi dix Mois' music 'all sounding the same'.

You have a very good point. I failed to mention that in my last post. Malice Mizer is and will be remembered for the odd genre mix. But Moi dix Mois is more metal than anything. Completely Mana's style.

I was shocked at the way Amy Lee is carrying herself. She has a beautiful voice...but it's just a shame that she didn't take the opportunity to dress up in the photos with Mana.

Don't get me wrong, though, she is very beautiful, and looks absolutely otherworldly when dressed in a more gothic, ethereal way.

I do reccomend you to listen to KISS! Especially the albums called Animalize and Asylum.. well.. do that after listning to the more average kiss albums like Destroyer and Alive!.. Asylun and Animalize are from the 80's with a different lineup.. they are my favorites! Especially Animalize.. oh sorry! Dosed off into the Kiss world..heh^^;;;

Just hope Mana-Sama has thought of them^^ Oh.. btw.. is there anywhere that mentiones what kind of programs etc Mana Sama has used? Would be quite interresting to know^^

Hm I don't think he's really mentioned what programs he uses. From what I know he usually uses the older method of recording in his home with synthesizers and sequencers and stuff and uses a computer and other stuff to complete the songs when in the studio.

That event was Mana's birthday live (3/17) and they were celebrating it that day but his actual birthday was two days later on the 19th.

There are a few older photos of him doing regular thingies...but that was during Malice Mizer, heehee :) He's a bit less conspicuous nowadays sans makeup, I'm sure...as his hair is its natural colour, it seems, and not super long like it used to be, heehee :) I'm glad that he is able to have privacy :)

Um...I'm moving in 2 years with my friend Yarudee-sama. We still have to finish school and get everything together but we're moving. At first it was just a joke like we were never really going to. Now, we're making plans, trying to save up money, looking at everything...and it's getting me quite excited. I can't wait!!!

I can only listen to them on MySpace because I don't have the money to order their CD. I just ordered a single CD and I have to wait until I get another A in another class before I can get something else. And this time it'll probably be Purple Sky with Miyavi on the cover. Well, like I said, I checked their official website and it didn't say anything. I asked about it on another forum and they said Mana was able to produce Schwarz Stein while MdM was still new so this should not be a problem for him. They also said none of the Japanese mixies have said anything, so we are good. ^_^

Seth is probably in another band because Moi dix Mois isn't doing much at the moment. :cool:

Mana-sama WILL NOT be just a producer. He has a deep passion for what he does and wants to continue! Don't think that he's just going to quit being a guitarist. He wouldn't do that. Right now, however, I haven't heard of anything from Moi dix Mois besides the concert on the 22nd of March for his birthday. After that, it went silent. At least for the time being, but he isn't the type of person to just quit the band just because they haven't done anything for a while. If he leaves, the band falls apart and there'd be no more Moi dix Mois. He's not going to quit being a guitarist, I feel. He loves it too much. If you didn't know, he said he loves being on stage and having that connection with his fans. It makes him very happy. I don't think he's going to quit for a very long time! :cool:

If I'm allowed to take pictures, I will. Then, when I get them developed, chances are we're going to meet again, and I will have him sign a couple for you. Just tell me your home address (in a private message of course, and I will send you the authentic pictures) when it comes to that time...in 2 years. But I will try to take a couple of pictures. Though, if he's without makeup, and I do get pictures, you must not show anyone unless we have his permission, because we all know how much he doesn't like to be without makeup in public or in pictures. Oui? Only if he says so can you show anyone else if the pictures are of him without makeup.

Sweetie, the person you're talking about in the interview is Kazuno. It took me forever to remember the other member's names besides Seth, K and Juka and of course Mana-sama... There's Seth, K, Mana-sama, Hayato, and Sugiya in M10M now, and in old M10M, there was Mana-sama, Juka and Kazuno. After Kazuno left, K joined the band. Then after Juka left, Seth joined. Sugiya and Hayato are not official members like Seth and K. Even Juka and Kazuno weren't official members, if you think about it. Seth and K are lucky.

I have approx. 74 pictures of Mana-sama where you can tell he's wearing pants. Some are doubles, yes, but most of them aren't. I also have photos from the same photoshoots (where you can tell he has pants on), but you can't see that he's wearing pants, so I didn't count those.

I have over 580 Mana-sama pictures... >.< I can't help myself.

Actually, Crimson, remember that Mana-sama and Dada (vox. of Velvet Eden, people) used to be friends. So technically, the subjects are related in a way.

I was looking at the title of the book he's holding, since I have the same picture, and it says A Century of Excavation in the Land of the Pharaohs. He was holding an Egyptian documentary book. ^__^v. I'm obsessed with Egyptian things! >///< I watch documentaries and movies on it all the time!

Actually, I found out about Marisu Mizeru (I mean, really found out about them) last year. I had heard of them over the years (due to listening to Laruku since I was 11 (I'm 17 going on 18 now)), so I've heard about them.

We can talk about it, but not get so dwelled into it that it's like he doesn't have a present life. I just prefer present him to past him (mean, I know. I still love past him though, because it's still him).

My friend and I are going to go to M-m-M the first day we touch down in Japan. (I make it sound kind of like a football game... -_-;;). I love the clothing there, and my clothing line is going to have the same darkness and elegance as Mana-sama's clothing line, but probably not Lolita fashion. More Aristocratic, I believe. ^_^ I love Aristocratic fashion. It's very beautiful. I'm going to be broke before I get out of that store...-_-;; I'm definitely buying the same ring he always wears (the silver coffin ring with the M-m-M candlesticks).

Mana-sama is gothic...in a way. I believe he's more Gothic Aristocrat (^_^) than not. He has a very, extremely elegant style to his clothing and how he acts that he's more Gothic Aristocrat, than just gothic.

I've been gothic for a long time, but really knowing gothic means you don't wear just black. I wear many different colors, but I'm still gothic, because most of them are dark. I refuse to wear neon colors (-_- Unlike a certain DJ SiSeN I know!). I refuse to wear pastel colors. So most of my colors are dark, resulting in a gothic fashion ^_^.

Many people can agree on many things. But yes, to hold a conversation with him would be really something. His mind is so, so beautiful, is it not?

I wear more colors than black too. I like the color pink(it's what color my hair is :blush:) so I wear that and other colors. Nothing to bright though. Perhaps I am not the traditional goth. I never completely fit in with the goth crowd but I certainly never fit in with anyone else either. Maybe I am just my own thing. Not like anyone else. I am so glad I am not the only one who feels that way! The goths in my school thought you had to wear black and listen to whatever music is goth to them and I didn't fit in with that. Actually, my friend's emo and she doesn't like pink at all.
Hot pink used to be one of my favorite colors (Miyavi! Blame him.). Sui from Metis Gretel used to have his hair that color too. :-) It was sooooo~ pretty! Now his hair is black and blonde... :) Sui's pretty no matter what! But my favorite from Metis Gretel is Setsuna.
Speaking of the name Setsuna, I want my son's name to be Setsuna... It's very pretty.

Mana-sama does look very good in blue and black. He wears those two colors a lot, and they are his top 2 favorite colors. :-) Black is a very elegant and sophisticated color. I guess that's why I've been drawn to it since before I can remember. I've always loved black. Dark furniture, dark clothes, dark hair, dark everything! My "curtain" is black, and my furniture (dresser and bed) are painted black and white. My dad painted them for me for my 16th birthday. I'll have to probably sell them when I move... :(

Actually, Crimson, it was for his first band, the band before Matenrou (I think that's what it is. If not, correct me.). So, he did sing. He hasn't since then, and I doubt he will ever again (with people knowing, at least). It's rumored that the person Shadow X is actually him doing the death voice during his songs. Hm... Who knows?

It may have been Ves.tearge, his first band in high school. Nothing is known except Mana-sama did say it was a Motley Crue cover band, and he was on vocals.

Hmm, I think your right jrockaddict. I remember reading somewhere else that he sang for his very first band. But after 1 performance he decided to never sing again. Speaking of his voice, I hear he hates his voice. Not his singing voice but his speaking voice. For the accent I believe. He hates his accent I hear. :( I love his voice. He has the same accent as Sakito of Due'le Quartz. They were both born in Hiroshima. I love Sakito's voice, and I love the accent. :-)

I do wish it would become an instrumental. I love Mana-sama's music, and the only thing he didn't do in her songs is write the lyrics and play the cello. :-) So, it's practically his music more than hers. I love how he's in control of everything. And yes, her voice is extremely terrible. It's too sweet and immature for my taste.
I'm drawn to rich sounding singing voices. I don't even really care for the lead singer of Within Temptation's voice anymore, because I sing more maturely than her. I love rich sounding voices, like Seth's. His voice is very comforting to me. If they have a very childish sound to them, I don't like them, much like Britney Spears or some other teenybop stars. Shakira and Janet Jackson (naming some people I can think of that don't sing in Japanese or another language), I love the sound of their voices, because they're very rich. The singer for the Japanese band Suilen, she's very nice to listen to.
Mana-sama is very good at picking singers. All the singers he's picked, I love their voices.

Dragonfish are, actually, very pretty in a way. They are very expensive though, especially for fish from Walmart. $14 USD for 2. But that's without tax. I spent over $50 USD for supplies for them. But they died because they didn't eat.

I wonder why Mana doesn't like to touch animals? :? They say people who don't like animals are bad people. :( I don't think Mana is. Hmm, I wonder if something bad happened to him when he was little to make him not like them. My stupid father hates cats because when he was younger he would constantly get in trouble because of them. This may be the case with Mana-sama. I don't know. I just can't see how you can not like animals.

I don't know why he doesn't like animals. It's not listed in any biography I've read of his.
I hate when people touch me. I'm just a very distant person. When people touch my face or even get close to my face without my permission, I get extremely angry. I hate being touched by people without my permission. I bet that's the same way with Mana-sama too.

Actually, I think I have almost all of the pictures of him with the children.

It's quite common for dragonfish to have eating problems, or should that be the owners have problems feeding them. Did you target feed them? I vaguely remember from an article I read on them that they need food placed basically right in front of them, I can't remember if it's because of poor eyesight or smell or what but they are notoriously hard to feed.
Incase you hadn't noticed I'm a real geek when it comes to fish! :p

Well, I tried to feed them, but I didn't know they had bad eyesight or smell. I read something on feeding them and it didn't say anything about the food being placed right in front of them. I actually looked them up to get a good idea on how to feed them and on what to feed them.

I'm pretty sure all Mana-sama fans don't like being touched...maybe some don't mind, but I know I do!

I got my car inspected an hour and a half ago and on my way home I got pulled over by a cop who said my brake light was out. He gave me a warning. So I was thnking, has Mana-sama ever gotten a ticket before? I wonder how he would act if he did? I was laughing because it was ironic. :D But I wonder if things like that ever happen to him. :clueless:
