Jrock...and the OC...?

Erm...lately I've noticed a lot of fanfiction...and the summery's are like:
Characters: Psycho le cemu, dir en grey, malice mizer, gackt...and the cast of the OC.
...
Theres so many fanfiction like this now. In some of them the Jrockers and the OC characters fall in love :relief:
maybe I'm just closed minded...but...but...Jrock...the OC...? *cant see it*
Is it normal?

There was that one episode of The OC when Summer was forced into going on a prom date with a K-pop star ... maybe that's where the idea sprung from.
