One Rotten Apple Spoils A Series!

This might sound stupid, but I'll put it out there for your consumption. Have you ever experienced an instance when one, just one particular character in an anime totally and completely ruined your enjoyment of the entire series, so much so that you just plain stopped watching said series altogether? For me, that happened with R.O.D. The TV as, for reasons I can't explain, the shrewish and ill-tempered Nenene Sumiregawa was such a monstrous turn-off for me, I could barely get through the first volume of the series and stopped watching it cold after that, never buying any subsequent volumes. Has anyone out there experienced anything like that in your anime viewing?

Personally, I have never experienced something like that. When I watch an anime with a character I dislike I simply try to ignore the character (yeah might sound wierd and impossible, lol). I don't like to stop watching animes juts becasue of charcters.
