Yoshimoto Kogyo is the big stand up production that has brought forth many of the popular comedians on TV.

The Koreans have even copied some of the material from Japan.
Mecha Ike is a shown based around 99. They went to Korea to find what their copy-cat counter-parts were that funny or not.

One member of SMAP is also very active in Korea. Kusanagi is known as Chonen Kan.

i believe "ucchan-nanchan" and "kyaiin" are not managed by yoshimoto kogyo, as yoshimoto mostly takes people from kansai region and they are all not from there.
