It was thirty years ago this month, two days ago in fact that Pink Lady released "Pepper Keibu", officially launching their career, becoming THE most legendary idol act in the history of J-Pop music. While other singers and groups over the years may have made more money or produced more hit records, in my opinion, no act that came before or after had the incredible, and lasting impact Mie and Kei had on J-Pop music as Pink Lady is just as beloved and popular today as they were when they debuted in 1976. I found about Pink Lady thanks to you and Morning Musume lol. I was looking at Morning Musume clips and I saw one with Pink Lady. And it was like wow these ladies are cool. And I remembered that my favorite subgroup W had covered 2 of their songs. So I went and looked for the original songs. Then I was like Pink Lady why are they so familiar? Then it hit me Oh Yea Flash Jeff likes them lol.

I'm sure you'll enjoy them. It's one thing to listen to Pink Lady, but quite another to actually see them which is one hell of a treat because of the dynamic dance routines which accompany their hit songs. And be sure to check out some of the videos of other J-Pop idols like:

--The Candies, Pink Lady's peers from the 70's
--Wink, the top idols from the late 80's/early 90's
--Chisato Moritaka, a dynamic song and dance idol from the 80's

Their videos are worth looking over too! Happy watching!

I wonderunion if they came out with a CD or DVD of the reunion tour. If not they should have. From what I have seen on you tube they were great and the concerts were a huge success.

As far as I know, the only commercial videos from Pink Lady's reunion were the last two shows from the tour on May 26 & 27, 2005 (http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=TBD-5701). And yeah, those were fabulous performances by Mie and Kei.
