Monbusgakusho scholaship questions....please help!

I already looked in the other threads trying to find the answer to my questions so i thought i should make a new thread. Look at my situation and you tell me what to do.

I'm very interested to apply for the monbugakusho scholarship for undergraduate students and until now i cover all the requirements. The thing is, i ALRAEDY started my career in a university in Mexico and i have done so for two semesters, and i'll probably make another semester while a do all the preparation stuff for the scholarship. So my plans are to get the scholarship and finish my career in a japanese university. But my question is if i'm still eligible for the monbugakusho scholarship? is the some kind of subject revalidation available or i'm totally out? i don't know, maybe monbugakusho scholarship it's only available only for undergraduate students willing to study the career completely in japan. I know not all subjects will be revalidated, but at least some of them. The career is industrial design.

Please, if you can help me with that.....'cause i can find an answer. Thanks in advance!

hey beto im on the same scholarship but im a grad student. Honestly i dont think it's a problem if you already started in Mexico but you just have to quit your Uni and continue your studies in Japan till you graduate. Why don't you ask the embassy for more info im sure they can help you with that.

thanks for answering Gaijin4life. yeah i guess i'll have to contact the embassy, the problem is that i can't find any e-mail in their webpage (japan's embassy in mexico) so i'll have to call them. Anyway, i still have plenty of time to investigate all this.

However, if someone did it this way or knows any good information i'd be very thankful if you share it.

Btw another question....if the first year of the scholarship is to study japanese...does that mean classes are going to be in japanese?? not that i'm scared but...someone told me classes were in english....but now i'm confused...

Depends on the UNI you're applying to. If you wanna study in Japanese then I recommend AT LEAST 1.5-2 years of Japanese language study to able to attend Jap classes and understand the lectures. Or you can do my way, I studied 6 months Jap just for the language and now im doing my Grad studies in English. Its really up to you but Learning Japanese is a must either way. Try looking for a Uni that holds English courses for the Major you're planning to take.

right now i've found like 7 universities offering the industrial design career, but i've discarded 4 because they clearly state classes are instructed in japanese (one was chiba university, tohoku university, tama arts university and nagaoka institute of design) (correct me if i'm wrong).

So i'm left with 3 options and they are:

Kyushu University

Takushoku University

University of Tsukuba Art&Design
http://artisan.geijutsu.tsukuba.ac.jp/

The thing is none of them mention anything about available courses in english, nor do they mention japanese as a requisite, some of them don't even ask for EJU (as is the case of takushoku dai). I guess i mail them to know better.

incredible but i couldn't find any e-mail address at the kyushu and tsukuba universities.....
At kyushu's website i go to the english version and then try to check the information on the admission requisites but it all comes out in japanese, there's no english version of that.

I only found an e-mail address for the takushoku university and i already mail them, because in the english version of their website every link i click on takes me to a "coming soon" text.

I'll wait for their answer. And please, if someone knows the e-mails of the other two universities...it'd be great if you tell me.
