I haven't watched the last episode (last night; season 4), but I've been watching it for the past 2 odd years. I regret to say that as with all her other manga turned anime series Takahashi Rumiko does a very bad job at keeping viewer attention as the series is becoming too long and quite honestly, there was a bit there where I completely lost the object of the series.

Ever watched Marmalade Boy? Now that's romance.

I've only seen up to episode 36 because I live in America, St. Louis. I've been thinking about just downloading some of the episodes... When you say "the last episode" do you mean they are done with the series? Also, I haven't seen the anime your talking about but I've heard of it. When I get the chance, I'll be sure to check it out!

I mean the last episode to air on TV. If you get a chance to lay your hands on Marmalad Boy, watch it. It's really fun.

I don't really remember what episode number we're at... I think it's gone over 70 or 80 now, maybe more, as they're not numbered on screen anymore...

hmmm.I havenīt heard of it, but does it have a page in the web or could someone post an image of some of the characters?
Anything that has an "inu" with it must be interesting ;)

I think in Japan the episode count is in the 110s now. It's starting to become redundant much like Ranma did as an anime, but I feel the quality is still better than Ranma's filler episodes.

Chipi, here is some information about Inuyasha: http://trabia-garden.net/inuyasha/

110 sounds about right. I lost count around 90 or so.

About it being better than Ranma, I think you're probably right. But that's not a great achievement in my book. Takahashi has a bad habit of veering off on irrelevent tangents midway through her series, which make us lose the point. Some time ago (now it's winding down and we're beginning to see the point again), I didn't know what the h*** she was going with her story... Perhaps if I'd have read the manga...

Well, Chipi, if you're up on your Japanese, you can always try http://www.ytv.co.jp/anime/inuyasha/index.html
That's the official YTV ŒĒ–éģ Web site.

I like Inu Yasha much more than Ranma but both series have too much episodes.. at least that's my opinion. I don't like that the series never come to an end. And like tasuki said: "It makes us lose the point.."
Anyway I still like Inu Yasha. I would like to see more episodes of it although there are so many of them.. Maybe I would stop watching them after time, but at the moment I'm still interested in it, especially in some characters ;)

I'm new, though. Excuse my bad english knowledge :)

I've only seen the episodes shown in America. I'm trying to get a job so I can buy them online, but the problem is, people claimed that I'm too young(ironically, I'm 17). However, my friend got some of them on DVD. Maybe I could borrow them or something.

I've been watching it on TV here for close to three years (has it been that long?) and now at 116 episodes, you can finally feel the series winding towards a climactic end as all the characters are pulled towards a nexus. I would think they are likely to wrap things up within the next 6 months, but I'm only guessing...

I started watching inuyasha a few months ago and i have been hooked to it ever since. I've only been able to download the first 110 episodes from kazaa. But DLing eps from kazaa is too long. Does any have the new eps or can someone giv me some info where I can dl new eps?

Heh, Currently I have pretty much all of the DVD's available to the US. I would get the Japanese versions but my GF thinks otherwise.

Quite honestly, I got hooked after my GF started watching and asked to buy the dvds.

Out of curiosity, I watched and actually quite enjoyed.

Yeah, I wasn't to happy with Cartoon Network when they took InuYasha off the air. But I think they only did so they could show more animes until they put on the news episodes! They had up to episodes 56, but didn't want to show them all yet. InuYasha also got very great rating on Cartoon Network and had the highet rating for an Adult Swim Cartoon. But, August 25th, they will put it back on air at 12:00 am showing new episodes never seen in the US. My cousin has DSL, so I ask him to download episodes for me sometimes.

i'm a fan of Inu Yasha too :)

i only watch it til eps 99 though.. inu yasha's airing on my local tv station, but i still prefer to watch the subtitled rather than the indonesian-dubbed version.. i just hate to watch anime in any other language than Japanese..

the Indonesian version of manga also being issued here.. but it's kinda slow on issuing cause it had only reach til volume 15 or something i guess..

Oct 26, 2003, 23:38
Well I'm deprived....I've only gotten to see Inu Yasha in it's dubbed format so I really can't say if I prefer the subbed over the dubbed....I don't have cable here...so it was when I was in Montreal this summer that I got to watch a few episodes and it was only on Fridays and really late at night sometimes

GraviFuuten
Oct 28, 2003, 11:30
 I like the subbed version much better than dubbed, I haven't seen the entire series though, only up to 70 sumthing or other. the dubs are pretty bad, especially Kagomes voice :p

Hey I love Inuyasha too!But how long has the series been running like 3,4,5 or 6 years? Why can't they just kill Naraku already and get all the shard pieces back together?

Is it just me or does the series need to end badly?

GraviFuuten
Nov 2, 2003, 04:42
:) yep yep.. Inuyasha is good but like Ranma 1/2 (also by rumiko takahashi) it doesn't seem to ever end.. I think they are both pretty good shows but they are reallllllly long, and the plot seems to repeat itself a lot....

Mayura
Nov 3, 2003, 17:49
I think Inuyasha somehow is better than Ranma 1/2...

I've watched what I can on cartoon network but that's it. I also have volume 1 of the manga graphic novel. I actually like it better in manga form. :P Next time I go to my little anime shop on the corner I'm gonna try to get two more volumes. I think I'm going to read it again tonight. XP

I haven't seen the first movie but did see the second one-nyo. Now there's a third one coming out?! Oy.

well I agree the show has gone on a bit long..

I almost lost complete interest in it around episodes 80-100 ish; it was getting rather dull

If you're lucky enough to get the fan subs or whatnot and see past episode 122, You'll see why my interest has been rekindled.

I believe that Takahashi-san said that when she was around issue 40 of the manga, she was half done.
I'm not totally sure though on the exact issue number

So don't fret, there is an end in sight Lol :o

And on a random side note, does anyone know the Exact date the third movie is supposed to be released? Or has it already, or what?

Takahashi-san actually worked with the movie crew on the third movie, so it actually goes along with the story of the series.

I've liked Inu-Yasha for a while now, but still haven't seen all the episodes and I don't have the money to buy. >.>
So I'm sticking to manga for the moment, until I can buy. The one movie I did see wasn't too bad, rather cute.
But you know what? I've always like Sesshomaru better. >.>

Gracious! Inu-Yasha may be a bit too long. It may be popular, but it's no Dragon Ball!

Kagome, Kikyo and Sango rock, though...

I posted here before and my insight on the show has changed a bit. I now have TWO graphic novels and one of the smaller scroll comic and seriously, I have a better understanding of the plot from reading themanga version then I did watching, what, 56 episodes.

I also prefer cubtitled over dubbed ever since I purchased and watched the two movies. There was so much I learned that I didn't catch in the dubbed version. Yet, I don't know where to buy subtitled DVDs of episodes from season 3 and up. I want to get at least season three since I've already seen season one, two and part of three that it isn't worth it to buy the first two seasons if I can just record them on Adult Swim.

I can't really comment on the series being to long and stretched out since I haven't seen all of the episodes so I can't complain. I do suppose it is getting a little too drawn out, but at least it isn't as long as the Dragon Ball series. The whole series has like over 300 episodes.

Okay this is what I've heard and I'm pretty sure that at least one of these is true.

They will be showing NEW episodes of Inuyasha in March and April. They will probably take a break from the show in Febuary to show some one season-er, like Fooly Cooly, twice, then start the new eps up.

I've also heard that they are dubbing the first Inuyasha Movie entitled: Inuyasha:Thoughts That Surpass Time. Though I don't know why anyone would want to watch the dubbed when the subtitled one is much more funny and informative, but I suppose if you don't have the money to buy the DVD that that is the only way you're ever gonna watch it.

Yup, yup...
