the Japanese , well some of them dont like Koreans and foreigners, they sometimes have signs in restaurant windows saying "no foreigners" and they still dont like (or want to have anything to do with) people of Korean origin, even if theyre Japanese for many generations back down the line. Miyavi appears to not care about his heritage and such and just says somethiing about it being the music stuff that counts, not the "being part Korean" or whatever. and i think he's right. it really doesnt make a difference, about what mix you have in you, its just some people, most likely to be the very pure family lines and such are stubborn and refuse to change. anyways. im not sure how right i am, but i read about this sorta thing in a book i have!

I'm not sure where Wikipedia gets their stuff, but I think giving out a KOREAN name wouldn't really affect Miyavi's life since he most likely uses a Japanese name in Japan. His Korean name probably isn't even registered and the only reason why he has it is for cultural reasons. I mean I have a Chinese name but no one goes around calling me by it. I use my English name. So I guess it would be the same situation with Miyavi. But enough about that....:relief:

Hahahah yea. Sometimes I read lyrics and I think... "that part was in english?!?!?" hehehe but I actually enjoy listening to Hizumi's (from D'espairsRay) english. Infection is such a great song and after listening closely, I must say his english isn't too bad (even if he can't really understand the language itself).

I must say that Miyavi's english.....is pretty bad lol. But he's cute when trying.

In jibun kakumei, the first thing he sings in the song ( i'm not sure is he even saying enything but it's not in the lyrics, it's just something he screams in that beginning of the song right before "disappoint..resignation...") and every time I hear it, I hear that he sings: "blue maailma" and that means blue world XD lol.. and other thing I also hear is that he sings: "blue wife" ( I must have something wrong with my hearing) XDD I know that isn't what he really sings there but in to my ear it's sounds like that XD

I believe Miyavi'z English is gettin better though :cool: When I listend to MYV POPS album I was first listenin to Peace Sign and could understand what he was sayin in English O.O I thought to myself "Am I hearin this right :O That soundz like English!!" Nonono, I meant his Japanese has improved SINCE "POP is dead" (and therefore the english in "Dear my friend" and "We love you" is easier to hear), 'cause there were english parts in "POP is dead" that I couldn't even make out as english (when they were english), even when I slowed the song down. XD

I could always make out the opening lines from POP is dead, though...

And yea.. I agree. Miyavi's english has gotten better. I can't wait to hear his miyaviuta album. MYV POPS left me kind of disappointed so I hope this album is better!

The only way I know of is to send him fanmail through his site.

Go to o-re-sa-ma.com. Click on the bottom character on the left hand side of the screen. Then click on the line of script farthest to the right. that gets you to fanmail.

The feilds asks for

Age/Gender:

Then a big feild for the letter.

Then a clickable button that says "send"

I know how you feel darknoonthirty, I love this guy, but when I explain I get so flustered and confused because one thing leads to another and yadda yadda. I'll explain...somehow. I mean this guy is -in my opinion- perfect. He has an unbeatable sense of humor, I mean even his "arrogance" is hysterical to me. It's like he knows when to fault himself and be humble.

He is so nice and I don't believe it's an act. He shares everything with his fans and though he's been through some really tough times, he manages to keep his head up with a smile and that makes us happy (me really happy x 1 gazillion). He's one who really care for his fans. I mean he just screams originality. Not to mention, he's uber sexy (one of the hottest Jrockers in my opinion).

I think at one point in every musician and bands career they get a little repetive at least once or twice until they figure out a way to alter their music and style of playing a little so it's not the same. Hello, I'm new to this forum and also a fairly new fan of Miyavi. ^^V
I'm here to share a few of my observations and to see what ya'll think of them o.o (Cause observing people is just something I like to do =);.. )
I've seen people talking about how this new "sensitive" Miyavi is such a change, but honestly I think this side of him has been here the whole time. The whole egotistical thing was just his stage act. For him to be able to write the songs and lyrics that he has- he has to be in touch with his feelings and emotions ("Papamama nozomare nu baby" for example). He's getting older and with that comes maturity. He most likely doesn't feel the need to be overly hyperactive and goofy anymore (which I feel were a dramatization of his actual personality and sense of humor). I believe he's still our fun loving Miyavi, he's just tired and over worked. =(
That latest journal of his hits hard. Much like darknoonthirty and Broken Rose Ren have admitted to, I'm also in a state of not loving myself. Him feeling that way about himself doesn't really surprise me, for some reason he never struck me as someone who thinks highly of themselves (Now actually stating that fact on his journal is something that surprises me though ^^;.. ).
For me, seeing things like this show how he truly is just a normal human being like you and me. I hold that dearly, that this is something we are essentially going through "together" and I only hope as his fan I can help and inspire him as much as he has me (Even if I've only known him for just over a month =P)
That excerpt of "flying" really gets me too. I'm sure it's a common concept and phrase, to want to "fly above" but it's been my thing for quite some time now. I've even been pondering getting a tattoo of wings encircling my wrist with "Fly" written above them... Meh, I dunno I guess it just makes me feel special =3
A care package is an adorable idea, I'd love to contribute in anyway I can. He apparently loves his fans very much and I'm sure such a gesture would only make that love even greater. To see how much we fans really do care about his well-being. Caring for someone and knowing that the care is mutual is a wonderful feeling =)
I only hope our love for him will keep him happy long enough to find that missing piece inside of him. So that he can finally have and experience true happiness and love (Wee I sound like a gushing idiot XD).

For him to be able to write the songs and lyrics that he has- he has to be in touch with his feelings and emotions ("Papamama nozomare nu baby" for example). He's getting older and with that comes maturity. He most likely doesn't feel the need to be overly hyperactive and goofy anymore (which I feel were a dramatization of his actual personality and sense of humor). I believe he's still our fun loving Miyavi, he's just tired and over worked. =(
That latest journal of his hits hard. Much like darknoonthirty and Broken Rose Ren have admitted to, I'm also in a state of not loving myself. Him feeling that way about himself doesn't really surprise me, for some reason he never struck me as someone who thinks highly of themselves (Now actually stating that fact on his journal is something that surprises me though ^^;.. ).
For me, seeing things like this show how he truly is just a normal human being like you and me. I hold that dearly, that this is something we are essentially going through "together" and I only hope as his fan I can help and inspire him as much as he has me (Even if I've only known him for just over a month =P)
That excerpt of "flying" really gets me too. I'm sure it's a common concept and phrase, to want to "fly above" but it's been my thing for quite some time now. I've even been pondering getting a tattoo of wings encircling my wrist with "Fly" written above them... Meh, I dunno I guess it just makes me feel special =3
A care package is an adorable idea, I'd love to contribute in anyway I can. He apparently loves his fans very much and I'm sure such a gesture would only make that love even greater. To see how much we fans really do care about his well-being. Caring for someone and knowing that the care is mutual is a wonderful feeling =)
I only hope our love for him will keep him happy long enough to find that missing piece inside of him. So that he can finally have and experience true happiness and love (Wee I sound like a gushing idiot XD).

Uh huh, I totally agree. We are like a huge long distance family. Although, sad. I'm glad Meev wrote that journal, it showed his sensitive side. It showed that even he could be affected by these feeling of anguish. He's not just some bionic spazz that pawns all, he has feelings.

I just joined earlier today after finding this thread on Google, and it's great to finally get to chat with other Miyavi fans! (I don't know anyone else in my area who even listens to any J-rock!)

I've only recently discovered Miyavi's music, but already I'm hooked. :) I know this must sound really cheesy, but hearing Miyavi's music has helped me so much with certain problems, and I think I can safely assume that he'll most likely be my fave singer for a long time.

Anyway, I read the journal post, and I love the idea of a care pack. :) I'll be sure to submit something for it, I'd love to be able to help cheer Miyavi up!

(I'm afraid it might not be so great to use Babelfish for this though, it tends to translate single words rather than whole sentences, so what comes out rarely makes sense. Well, after teh entry we were all a bit sad that Miyavi was sad, and some of us could relate to that, and have gone thorugh what he's going through, and because of that we want to show him that in sharing his feelings with his loyal fans he has to suffer the consequences of us sending him random stuff telling him to keep his chin up, face to the sky, and that no matter what, he's got fans all around the world.

SO broken Rose Ren came up with the idea for a "Care Package" in which we will put stuff to make him happy. and I came up with the idea to send him his lyrics to his song We Love You...because thats bascily everything we want to say...that yes, we are just fans, and yes, we don't know him personally, but we do care, and we want to thank him for giving us this music, and that he has to remember that we, the fans, are all in this together, this journey called life.

@PANTS: Ok! Got you down, so that's...9? (11 if you get those two more contributions). Actually, you can send me the signatures along with your contributions and I'll scan them myself. Or you can take a picture holding a sign that says MYV Rocks, I love Miyavi etc. I have no problem doing a little extra work. Srsly, the possibilities are endless. Be random, like Meev. :-)

Forgot to add this. I'm sending this bear that I bought, it reminds me of Meev for some reason (Meev is what I thought when I saw it). It has on a pink Von Dutch and a white and pink Von Dutch shirt. *le gasp* I swear, I saw Meev in an similar outfit, not to mention...Meev's fav. color in pink.
