Oh sorry about not telling yes .. In the beginning after the operation i kinda felt bad few weeks later my stomach hurted very much. now its going better and next week there is another operation. but the cancer is somewhere in my tummy so if i eat now about like an our my stomach really hurts. sometimes it really hurts in my tummy if i need to go to the bathroom so actually i cant say i feel much better ore better but ok and ofcourse more cookies, cakes and hugs would be very nice :D

My friend had a bunch of people bail on him for the Jrock Revolution Festival where Miyavi will be performing at. He has a few extra 2 day passes hes tyring to get rid of and not make a profit just in case someone wanted to go but couldn't get tickets. HES SELLING THEM AT NORMAL TICKET PRICE including the ticketmaster fees and shipping fees. He's not looking to make profit off of them and just want to get it off his hands.


JROCK REVOLUTION FESTIVAL
My friend has a few extra Jrock Revolution tickets (All tickets are 2 day passes general admission floor, that means BOTH days of the festival) from people that bailed on him. He wanted to sell them to get his money back to break even. I asked a few people if they needed them but no one replied so he posted them up on ebay. Yeah well theyve been making that crap up, its not true.
It IS however true that he is leaving the band.
He's not getting a sex change, he's not joining an all girl band.
He will try different music but in the much later future.

But I guess the rest is a progress in work, I'll get them over to the good side sometime.... My parents are accepting of what I listen to as well. They've gotten used to it by now :P Even tough they don't like it themselves they don't complain on it and lets me listen to it (not like they'd be able to stop me if they wanted to) :]

I know what you mean. The lyrics is a big part indeed. But the music itself just makes my life better. Without music i don't have a live really (OMG that sounds freaky XDD).You can put your emotions into music. So you can blow the things away where you thinking about. I can think clear when i listen to music. So i understand your part that there is more in music then only the lyrics. Even i think you can do great thinks with lyrics. You send a message to all of those people how listen to it.

Yer I think hes growing up too, but I guess its suspected. Im sure he still has his moments. In a way I find his mature image abit more appealing. I love the fact hes grown, and shows it through his music. Cause we always have his more upbeat insane stuff, and we just get different things as he grows.

That one thing I love about miyavi, hes always surpriseing you with different things. You expect a crazy loud rock song, but insted you get a soft acoustic one about love. Its lovely.

And maybe if Miyavis stuffs come in France now, you can find him in other countries. I'm almost there with getting my family converted to Miyavi followers just like me! lol My parents are there for me no matter what so they end up taking an interest in what ever I do.....but they dont like rock music so much but I do have them listening to Miyavi and they say he's not bad....they do however tease about Miyavi looking like a girl sometimes lol (it depends on the pic, PV, or comment I have them watch lol) my brothers.....well they think he's friggin awsome on guitar and i have them hooked on at LEAST two of his songs......so it's a start lol.

well it was pretty easy to convert them all. maybe it account for the fact that we're from a family with chinese lineage and some japanese too and they were pretty nostalgic about china and stuff like that and they think if he were japanese-korean, then maybe he's a little bit "chinese" too. but of course, that's only a theory. There where people behind me in the line (DUTCH people hehe we like every thing much..)They put a lot of green sauce on the sushi (i'm not sure what &iacute;t's called.. it has a very strong tast, just HOT) not allot.. but alooooooot. The sushi was swimming in the sauce..XD I was like OMG.. Those people never gonna eat sushi again :lol: I never use that sauce hehe its to strong XDD

Yeah. They put them in a really small venue... despite being told by the girl in charge of the street team that it was a bad move. Its the same venue I saw Despairs Ray in... they didn't sell out (not as well known here as Diru) but the venue isn't the biggest! Hopefully next time they'll realise and give them a bigger venue... or possibly a tour.
I wasn't too bothered by it (Im seeing them in Germany not UK) but I know a few people who really wanted tickets and failed to get them despite regularly checking the website.

Recently, JaME had the opportunity to interview Miyavi before the JRock Revolution festival in Los Angeles, California. The artist was casually dressed and spoke to JaME in English.


Since the last time we spoke with you in Vegas, have their been anymore secret missions?
Miyavi: Secret missions? Ohh, no.

Are you planning anymore secret mission? Or is it a secret?
Miyavi: Yes, there will be more, but it's a secret.

You always have really interesting tour goods, like the miyavi-cans and the MYVSRocks skirt. Are you directly involved with the ideas for your merchandise, or do you have a team that does it for you?
Miyavi: That comes from me. Yeah.

You've been part of the visual scene for a while now, what are the biggest changes you've noticed in the newer VK bands?
Miyavi: There have been changes in style and attitude in the music. It's quieter. Back in the day all the musicians were harder. Now it's less so. But now Japanese culture is getting bigger, spreading worldwide. I'm proud to be a Japanese artist.

A few months ago you played a mini show in Las Vegas. Looking back, what was your favorite moment from that show?
Miyavi: There were people from so many walks of life, many of them were hip hop, and there were NBA allstars there, and people celebrating Chinese New Year. But, my fans were also there. I was excited and so glad to see my fans.

Were you aware of the 21 and over age limit ahead of time?
Miyavi: Yes, but it was a night club, there was nothing we could do, we had no choice. But I am always very proud to be playing at any place.

Do you feel that you're received differently by the US audiences than you are in Japan?
Miyavi: It's the same, the same energy level, the fans are the same. But, my first time playing in the US I was so excited, because the fans now like Japanese culture such as anime, fashion and Visual Kei. That's why I was so excited, there was such enthusiasm for Japanese culture.

What hopes do you have for this performance at JRock revolution? Are you looking to increase your US presence, or are you just here to play for fun?
Miyavi: I'm here for my fans. Just the fans. I will play anywhere. Anytime, anywhere, I will play music for my fans. That's why I'm here in America.

What can US fans do to encourage you to tour here?
Miyavi: In America? A collaborative tour, or on my own?

Miyavi: Fan mail. Lots of fan mail. I am always reading fan mail from the US and overseas. Even when it's kind of hard to read.
Does it help you with your English?
Miyavi: Yeah, it really does. It helps me learn.

How did you meet the artists that performed with you during your 5 days lives in Tokyo last year?
Miyavi: By coincidence. They're from different genres, hip hop, tap dancer, traditional Japanese drum, beat box, DJ and a drummer.

Were you looking to do this sort of performance and then met these other artists, or did you decide on the performance after you met them?
Miyavi: No, before I met them. I was trying to gather all of them. It was very complicated. Sometimes I went to a club and looked for a special person. Sometimes I went and played on the street, and they would come along and jam, and I would meet them that way.

In July you're releasing a mini-album with re-recordings of a few of your previous songs. How did you choose those songs?
Miyavi: I picked the ones that I thought would make my fans happy. My musical style has changed. The core of each song remains the same, but the style changes. I am always changing, it's part of life, my life style. Be positive, not negative. Don't hesitate and go, that sort of thing. I can feel it even now. I want to make my fans happy.

Recently on your blog you said that you were looking forward to "screaming in the background" in a band again. What other aspects of being in a band, as opposed to being a solo artist, do you enjoy?
Miyavi: I like the groove. You get a groove from the other members, there's a chemistry between them. And also I'm lonely. As a solo artist I don't have to report to everybody, but honestly, I am a lonely person, that's why I like being in a band.

Do you feel that being in a band places less pressure on you, because the decisions are not solely your responsibility, or does it place you under more pressure, because you have to meet the expectations of multiple people instead of making music that please just you?
Miyavi: It's complicated. A little of both, there are good things and bad things. In a band, there is responsibility for each person, but there is also chemistry.

Many of your fans fear that you will no longer produce solo work if you rejoin a band. Can you tell us if you have plans for the future regarding solo work?
Miyavi: What I can say now is that I am going to make a new style. I can promise that. I'm a guitarist, and I'm always covering different genres. Hip-hop, funk, jazz, rock and punk - with these I want to make a new style of music. This summer I'm going on tour including Germany and Korea. After that I'm going to release a new single, that's going to be a new sound. It's Neo Visualism.

What can fans expect from the Neo Visualism tour, will it be a big change?
Miyavi: Not a big change, but I mixed my style. I've always been a rock artist, but I mixed rock, pop, and many genres to create something new.

For fun, if you ran PS Company, what would the initials PSC stand for?
Miyavi: Perfect Special Culture.

Do you have a final message for your US fans?
Miyavi: I came to rock you all on the stage. I'm a visual artist, and I want to express my feelings through my music. My lifestyle is best described as Kabuki. Kabuki is Japanese culture, a live art with humor. The visual industry is getting bigger in the world, but I want to make a new style. There's no meaning to repeating the same thing over and over. That's why I want to make a new style, a new vision. I call it neo visual. I want to go to America and everywhere in the whole world to rock them. Please enjoy my music, and please wait until I can come to you.

I'm happy that Miyavi is in a band again, yay! I'm just not happy about the people he's with, other than Sugizo. Yoshiki (though I love and respect him like you would not believe) I don't know if his hard to work-will-curse-you-the-hell-out-if-you-aren't-doing-what-he-wants attitude is going to go to well with Meev's personality and Gackt...I just don't really care for. He's alright, but I just never really cared for him.

And may I say, I'm actually incredibly excited about the superband now that I know Miyavi's gonna be in it. I have a love/hate/mleh relationship with Gackt, and I respect Sugizo and Yoshiki...but I FREAKING LOVE Miyavi.

And since he's said he won't stop his solo work completely, I can be at peace and see what will happen with the band.

Seriously, someone has to make a reality TV show out of that...Meevers and Gackt in a room trying to make band decisions. It'll either be the most awesome musical thing ever, or the apocalypse.

BTW, either one is fine by me as long as the music rocks ^^ (or maybe even if it doesn't...it'll at least be interesting)

I love the fact that Yoshiki will do some drumming again and Miyavi gets to do what he wants like said in that interview a few pages back he wants to be in a band again, but.... Is this going to be a "We want to win the western for us" thingy? I'm afraid it will be too Western to get American and european people like them, they have to stay like a bit japanese aww I can't find words to say it... nah I'm sure someone knows what I'm trying to say. ^_^*

I always knew Miya had style...a red convertible just proved it to me.

Yeah, I hope their sound retains some Japanese quality. I can't even pinpoint the difference in the music style (besides the language, of course), but there's something subtle that characterizes it, and I think they'll keep it - if only because they are Japanese.

0_0 tattoo on his face? Ah well, I'd say I'm against him having something covering his face like that...but because it's him, I don't mind (I wouldn't mind if he ran around in a chicken suit and a tutu...which he may have already done). I do hope it's not a tattoo though (probably isn't...hopefully).
