:wave: hey guys! the Lucid Dream thingie worked i can tell. but i had a hell of a nightmare. my dad was drunk and raped me. [not telling that in details..] then my mother came home and i told her while i cried and stuff. then they started a fight and i couldnt find the phone number to my best friend, i got panic and searched for the number. when i finally found it my friend answered with a boy in the background i cried her name and screamed that i seriously needed her, but she kept saying that i had to wait blahblah. then i woke up, i was sure it wasnt a dream, but yeah it was, fortunately.. now i look at my father with a disgusted look, this made me dislike him more, the dream was SO real i cant forget. but yeah.. it was intense! xD

@Nina007 Why would you WANT those lucid dream things? lol. I have them (or dreams like them) normally from time to time. They are always nightmares, too. They usually play out my worst fears and seem so real I tell myself it's a dream but end up convincing myself otherwise because I can't get out and it's so real. I don't think it's possible to have a pleasant 'lucid dream'. I think they occur naturally if you leave it a long time before going to sleep or if you wait until you are insanely tired before sleeping...you fall into a deeper sleep.

I can't seem to get Neo Visualism out of my head. I may sound dense here but has he released/is he releasing a CD with that on (and new tracks, etc. etc. like an album) because I know his last release was remixes.

All who went to the Germany gig are lucky *is jealous*. He seems pretty good live from what I've seen. I really need to invest in one of his DVDs or something...

Someone attacked his ex-girlfriend? That's just despicable. How can someone do that and call themelves a fan? I thought the stalking thing was bad enough but this? It's horrible. I know that fans contributed to Gackt's marriage breaking down, it's really sad :(.

Miyavi's English is great for a guy who isn't fluent. I remember the interview with him before JRR, and I guess I sort of gained new respect for him. You could tell he was struggling with some things but he made the effort to speak English. In the end it proved too much and he ended up speaking Japanese with someone translating, but I thought it was awesome that he tried :). There are so many people who just don't bother with other languages or pay for translators to go everywhere with them, so it's great when someone puts some effort in to do it themselves.

Who knows, next time he comes to Germany I might see what I can do about being there.

He's married again? Ah, in that case, I'm talking about his first marriage. According to his autobiography he married a Korean woman and apparantly fans kept hounding them or something. So they divorced and he said that he would never marry again because he didn't need to be married to prove that he loved someone (or something like that, which I thought was sweet).
But I think it said something about his wife not being able to leave the house because of the anxiety or something. It really got to her.
True fans should respect their idols, not become obsessed with them to the point that it causes damage (be it physical, emotional or mental) to them.
I thought fans of JRock/Jpop bands and artists were much tamer than fans of Western bands because seriously, I've heard people expressing their joy when engagements between their favourite artist and their partner break off, and I was absolutely amazed when (for example) I was on a forum and people said "Oh, it would be nice if he was married, I think he'd make a good husband". But all fans are obviously the same.

And I seriously can't believe those people stalking Miyavi. If you see someone famous that you like in the street, you stare for a while and maybe approach them, you don't film them walking from A to B. What's the point in that? He can walk and you caught it on film, whoop-dee-doo, and congratulations for making your 'idol' uncomfortable. It's not like your brains go all mushy, either. I met the singer of one of my favourite bands once and he had his arm around me and I still acted normal, like I was posing for a picture with a friend, not a rock star. Maybe because he was way shorter than I was expecting but still. It's not normal to lose your cool in situations like that! You think "If I ever meet ****** I will faint/cry/squee/whatever" and when you do meet them it's like meeting an old friend.
But I digress...Those girls must have had no life if they were resorting to following a guy around. By all means, leer/drool/faint, just don't stalk! Next thing you know you'll find yourself in a nice jacket that buckles at the back, singing Aho Matsuri to your pretty cushioned walls.
Maybe we should stalk these fangirls and see how they like it, lol.

I ordered the Neo Visualism single from YesAsia and it's holding my order up, lol. I ordered two other CDs and they are ready to be shipped, the Miyavi one isn't :(.

FrostPixie- I totally agree. I can understand maybe asking him if you could take a picture with him or something if he doesn't look busy or something like that- but video taping him the whole way? That's a bit extreme. He's on camera alot as it is anyway- it's sort of like when you go on a vacation and have people following you around. Though I don't think that stalking the girls that stalked Miyavi would do much good and i'm sure that Miyavi wouldn't want people to punish the girls that had stalked him.

I just hate that the minority of fans can create a bad image for the whole, but not everyone has common sense.

@Kuro No Panda I love that song :). It's like a mirror image of the original. The original was slow verses with a slightly faster-pased, rockier chorus. The reworking had more upbeat verses and a really calm chorus.

I also really like the reworking for "Girls be ambitious" and "Ashita Genki ni naare". Right now the KVK edition of "Selfish Love" is also starting to grow on me.

I guess it was hard to get used to the new versions of the songs when I've heard the orginals so many times. But i'm loving the album. <3

Im back of my 2 weeks vacation ;D It was really cool .. London is so busy but so beautiful. I didnt found any things of miyavi but my mom and dad actually listened miyavi in the train when whe did go to london xD They actually liked it :D Its pretty weird to be back home again. Hello, we're the JaME German team. This is already our third interview with you this year, thank you for always having time for us.
Miyavi: Thanks for always taking care of me!

How was your flight? And how are you?
Miyavi: I got used to the flying. In Japan I only work and don't have any time to learn, but when I'm on the plane I'm sleeping or learning, so time just flies.

So you don't have any jetlag?
Miyavi: No, not at all.

Even though you're here as a solo artist, the most recent news we heard about you is connected to your new band S.K.I.N., so let's begin with this. Can you tell us about your impressions from the first live?
Miyavi: I already noticed that there were many fans waiting for me when I went to Los Angeles as a solo artist in May. With S.K.I.N. there was so much energy on stage and because the other members are famous musicians too, there was a kind of special 'band magic', which is not there for a solo artist. I was very impressed by the fans' enthusiasm.

Why did you decide to have your first concert in Los Angeles instead of Japan?
Miyavi: We had the chance to perform there because we're recording and rehearsing in LA, there wasn't any deeper meaning. It doesn't matter where we go on stage, as long as we don't forget our pride of being Japanese, we're of course planning to play in Japan too.

During our interview in February, you said you'd like to play in a band, but were selfish and would stay alone for the time given. Only two months later, you announced that you were going to join S.K.I.N. Why this sudden change of view?
Miyavi: My opinion on that did not change, as I am continuing my activities as a solo artist. It's not like I'm going to stop my solo career just because I joined a band. Concerning the band, I was asked to join last year. Even if I take part in that or not, I'm still going to work both as a solo artist and in the band. Each of us has his own projects and we united to create something that we, as a part of Japanese culture as well as of Visual Kei, can be proud of.

How much of Miyavi is there in S.K.I.N.? How much do you influence the music?
Miyavi: Basically it's everybody contributing 1/4 of the band, but I must admit I'm influenced by the others, as I'm the youngest member. I'd like to add my own essence, which the others do not have. We're a really good team, even though everyone is pretty selfish. (laughs)

How is working with such knowledgeable musicians? Could you learn something from them?
Miyavi: Yes, of course! They are my senpai, which I respect as both musicians and persons.

On the other hand - could you teach them something?
Miyavi: I think my only advantage is that I have my youthful energy. Hmm, perhaps 'youth' isn't exactly right here, but I believe there is a kind of "explosiveness" only unexperienced people can produce. The others expect something like this from me. We interact quite a lot and inspire each other.

Do you think your personality changed since you started your career as a musician?
Miyavi: This changes naturally over time. What is more important concerning this: There is always something, which remains unchanged at the core. Therefore I don't see this as an alteration, but as a development.

Although you have already been to Europe before, tomorrow will be your first performance here. Are you nervous or did you gain even more self-confidence by playing in the USA?
Miyavi: (laughs) Hmm, I already had lots of experience in Asia concerning difficulties from foreign languages. So I learned how to portray and comport myself even if I don't know the language, and I gained a lot of confidence during the shows in LA. To be honest, I enjoy everything right now instead of being nervous. Some tension is necessary for sure, but currently, I lack it. My support musicians, the Kavki Boiz, are rather individual, I really have fun with them. They aren't "visual" guys, but they understand my point there and are good colleagues and friends. With them, I am able to show the "Neo Visualism" I enjoy.

You just mentioned them - could you tell us more about the Kavki Boiz? Who are they, where did you get to know them?
Miyavi: Basically there are a beat boxer, a step dancer, a bass player, a drummer and a painter. In addition to that, we also play more instruments. We are more like a group of artists, not like studio musicians or any usual band. Each one is an independent artist. I conduct the performances, but we improvise a lot. All members come from hip-hop, punk, blues or other genres. I have the feeling I can connect these genres, by making them interact. Besides, how I met them was different for every artist; for example, during a performance in Tokyo Geijutsu Gekijyo last year or at Budokan, during street performances we played together or... when I spontaneously played the guitar at clubs and we just started a jam session together.

What can we expect of your "Neo Visualism" style? Will you show us more of it during tomorrow's performance?
Miyavi: Let me see... I think Visual Kei is not only about dressing up, putting makeup on and taking nice pictures. I'm thinking about how we can help to make people dream and enhance Visual Kei, not only through music, but as artists. I want to try and enjoy various genres and styles, both visually and music-wise and not dependent on pre-established patterns and categories. Of course there will always be Miyavi's music at the core, but I want to meet various challenges.

Your music is very widely varied, you play and compose songs from various genres. How do you choose which style to use next?
Miyavi: Well, that depends on what mood I'm in when I start writing. Everything just approaches me. I have tried many different things after my old band separated and I didn't have anybody around me that I knew anymore. This was when I noticed I had to change myself. While writing pop songs, I laid emphasis on the melodies, as this is the way to convince the listeners. I also had to retreat from everything, to enhance my consciousness. For Dokuso - Miyabiuta it was very important to work together as a guitarist with musicians who are my friends, in order to cross genre borders and explode together. I had the urge to place a spotlight on such things ever since I had my major debut. Later on I paid a lot of attention to popular compositions and their melodies, for Dokusou - Miyabiuta working together with others was important and I was able to mix everything. When I went to LA and danced at JRR - because I like dancing in general - this also mixed into my music.

For your new single sakihokoru hana no you ni / Kabuki danshi, you added hip-hop and turntable sounds, we know you like to experiment. What exactly inspired you to work with those elements and what can we expect next?
Miyavi: Oh, I don't want to put too much emphasis on just hip-hop. You will see during tomorrow's concert that it's not only this genre, but also punk and blues. We have step dancers as well and a Japanese drummer. Concerning the compositions, I hope to have combined all of those in a way which is still easy to understand. I hope I'll be able to keep this chaos together tomorrow.

What do you think about websites like YouTube? Do you think they influence your career in any negative or positive way?
Miyavi: Hmm, I expect Universal Record doesn't like it too much, but I think it's interesting as it is a new generation of media, especially if there will be a way to solve the legal issues. Myself, I like to visit such sites.

Which album do we find in your CD player most frequently? Which would you recommend to your fans?
Miyavi: Ah, haha, let me see...hmm, Noisettes and The Fratellis, I also listen to them. There are too many artists at Universal Music. Hm... I can't think of more right now.

Finally, do you have a message to your fans who can't wait to see you perform tomorrow?
Miyavi: Yes! It's my first time here in Germany, yesterday (Friday) there was a warm... no, a hot welcome for me. Everywhere I go, I want to be proud as Miyavi. There are too many fans who wanted to come to the concert, but couldn't. I hope those who were able to get tickets will enjoy tomorrow evening a lot!

Miyavi's press conference was held shortly after Plastic Tree's press conference. Selected fans and media agencies were able to ask questions within a 30-40 minute span. Miyavi tried his best to answer in English, but received help from RI:D's translator, Noriko, in difficult cases.

What was your first thought when you were asked by Yoshiki if you want to join S.K.I.N.?
Miyavi: I was excited! He said it would be his last band. I was thankful and joined the band.

Where do you get your inspiration from?
Miyavi: Everywhere. From music, from my life, from my bathroom!

Did you have time to look around in Bonn?
Miyavi: I walked around in town a bit and ate Wurst (Sausage).

You change your clothing style often, where do you get your inspiration from?
Miyavi: The idea for my new hair style, as an example, is from the Kabuki.

What do you expect from your German fans?
Miyavi: I expect them to go crazy! I'm happy to see them.

J-Music fans go crazy when they hear your name. Why?
Miyavi: I don't know. I'm not sure, but maybe because I try to express my feelings through my music...

What kind of music do you listen to? Do you listen to German music too?
Miyavi: I like... Rammstein! (everyone laughs) And industrial.

What were you thinking when you met your German fans for the first time?
Miyavi: I wasn't thinking of anything in particular.

Do you care that your fans here don't always understand your lyrics and therefore don't always understand what you're trying to express?

What's different for you from working as a member of a band and working as a solo artist?
Miyavi: I'm responsible alone as a solo artist. It was sad when my band broke apart, but it was a chance for me to try and prove myself as a solo artist.

Is it easier for you, now that you're older, to be in a band and taking part of the responsibility for S.K.I.N.?
Miyavi: All the members are older and more selfish (laugh). I have to play with the others as a guitarist, but I can also continue with my solo career. I'm good as a guitarist.

What do your parents think about your career?
Miyavi: They're not strict; they support me.

The concert sold out right away. What do you think about that?
Miyavi: Thank you! (in German)

Do you notice your strong and weak points when you compose?
Miyavi: I can play guitar well and I know many Japanese phrases, but maybe I can't sing that well.

Many fans would be happy if there would be a German fanclub. Are there any plans about opening one for your foreign fans?
Miyavi: I hope so. I really hope so.

What do you think of Casting Shows?
Miyavi: We have those shows in Japan too and I think it's a good way to get an opportunity. I think that's ok. If you want success, there are a thousand ways and that's just one of them. And if you really believe in it then you'll be on top.

Who had the basic idea for S.K.I.N.?
Miyavi: Yoshiki! He is leader of the band. He asked Gackt and then both asked me.

You carry one of your guitars with you almost all the time. Was that the reason for one of your guitars breaking before?
Miyavi: No, but I hit the strings very hard, so they rip easily.

Your videos seem really costly. How long does it usually take you to record a video?
Miyavi: A whole day.

What are you most scared of losing in your life?
Miyavi: The music and my guitars.

Is there another goal you want to reach in your life?
Miyavi: There isn't another goal because I think when I die that'll be the goal. I want to travel around the world, experience things, do things and I hope I have proved myself when I die.

Even though Miyavi has the weridest dance moves at times- he can pull of it because, like [RevengeBabyYeah] said, that's just how amazing he is!

I'm sad, I went to the mall today to get the new Shoxx magazine and the new Purple sky...but they were both out! OUT! NONE WERE IN! ZOMG!!!!

So to make up for the loss I bought new nose rings. >=]. I have a loop in my nose now, it's the exact same one as Miyavi has. Then I also got a half loop in black and one in silver- they look like his lip ring- so that made up for the lack of magazines.

It's right on my ankle. =] It's my birthday I was born on July 26th so 2+6= 8. then the symbol on the lower left is the symbol for saturn which is like the ruling planet or what ever for July then the symbol on the lower right is for Leo.
