Hm, I'm not sure what I think really,

but I agree with most of you, I like his old sound better,
it was "unique" and this is not as much.

I don't hate it but it's more like pop in some way,
like something to play in Discos and so on.

I also would really love some brand new material from him.
new lyrics, new songs ...

hhhmmm, yes it does sound like pop or something that you would hear in a disco. I am getting tired of all the "remakes". No matter how good a song is, if you keep on "remaking" it, eventually it would suck.
Well, some of the remixes were actually nice but I like the original better.:relief:

he's trying to distance himself from his fans, i think. in case y'all haven't noticed, miyavi is a really pissed off, twisted person who hides behind a bunch of masks. if you've ever heard "nowhere god" he declares that "kamisama is oresama"... he's so f*cking angry at everyone, everything, and i don't blame him cuz if i were him i would b too... i only figured this out once i looked up the lyrics to aho matsuri, and then i went back to his other songs... there's so much anger at everyone in his songs... his fans, god, etc... he is angry because everyone just follows him blindly and takes him at face value instead of thinking about his songs and figuring out stuff, and copy him instead of trying to be their own people.
he's probably tired of the solos, because he was happiest when he was with Due'le Quartz, and he wants to be part of a group again, but there's no one really on his level except himself - everyone is either far above or far below him.

I'm prolly getting my @$$ flamed to death for saying this, but it took me a while to understand this, and I think I would hate myself for not saying anything. With this said, I am still very much a Miyavi fan... it's just that now I won't believe him. You don't have to be a good person to make good music. I can only hope he quits pretending - it's quite clear to me now that he's just as twisted as Kyo from Dir en grey, except Kyo doesnt hide his message as much as Miyavi does...
I'm sorry everyone, but I would hate myself if I didn't get this out there. If you don't believe me, look for yourself. Maybe I am wrong?? Who knows.

Well, I get your point and to some extend I understand, why are you thinking, what you are thinking. But I think, you are not right in everything- I think as well, that miyavi is angry- very angry, at the world, his fans, his music, but most of all maybe is he angry at himself. And I think he is very naive in some way, and gets hurt easily, because he wants to believe people and he does easily believe them and they hurt him. And he is childish and spoiled and egoistic.
And I think I am right, because he is a lot like me (or maybe I should say I am a lot like him).
But I don´t think he is twisted. Because that would mean, I am as well, and every one, who is similar.
He just needs a lot of love and understanding, and I believe it is difficult to cooperate with him.
He just cant fit in the world he is living in.
And it is making him angry.

I totally agree with the He can't fit in the world he is living in and he is making him angry. I see it this way too. I guess he really has much faith in people and trust in people and when people aren't the way he think they are he gets angry. I don't think he likes it when fans say to him that he is the only thing to live for and stuff. That is probaly why is always saying to live your life to the fullest and if its your last. It sounds weird but I think he needs to have a little less trust in people and he needs to face the truth. Because this is a bad world we are living in.

yes, and he actually NEEDS to distance himself from the fans..i know, it sounds strange, but I think it would help him. He is letting the fans too close to him, he writes personal infos about his life or about the life of his relatives and it isn´t good.
I think he should get himself a girlfriend and have children (because he really wants some). But how to find the right woman? how can he be sure, she really loves HIM? I think it is partially the fault why he is so angry.

Everyone in this world is kind of messed up. I agree with y'all that Miyavi is most of all angry at himslef, and i think he is angry because he's been given the responsibility of all these people looking up to him as their hero. But just because he is angry at being given the responsibility, does not mean the responsibility goes away. He should not spread his anger to everyone just because he is angry. He has no right to destroy other people's beliefs - which is what he is doing right now in songs like "kimi i negai wo" and "nowhere god". Certainly I see the lighter optimistic meanings that these songs may have, but the darkness, the cahos, the anger, the confusion is all subliminally channeled into the unsuspecting masses... and I am not sure that Miyavi (or anyone for that matter) has the right to do that.
Have you ever seen the live footage of "nowhere god"? it is housands of adoring fans going crazy, screaming that there is no god... not because they came to that conclusion by themselves after a while of life experience, and a lot of thought, but because he, MIYAVI, told them so. Thusly I suppose I am angry at Miyavi fot this because I believe that if people choose to not believe in the existence of a god, they should do it because it makes the most sense to them, not because someone told them so. The opposite is also true - people should believe in a god because it makes sense to them, not because someone else with a large following and many pretty words said so. THe choice of believeing or not believing should be an individual's own - not the priest's or Miyavi's, or anyone else's.
It's as if Miyavi's pushing it, trying to see what he can get away with, how badly he can screw with the world, so maybe he won't be the only one who's so terribly disillusioned and screwed up, so maybe he can fit in at last. As someone who's spent her entire life on the outside looking in, I can understand his desire to do that. Perhaps I am angry because I might have done the same in his place. But I am also angry because Miyavi has the responsibility of his fans, and he has no right to sneer at them and encourage them to be idiots for his own personal amusement (aho odori, anyone? i'm amazed people actually did it too.) None at all. his anger is his own, not ours. We didn't do anything to him except love him, and he hates us for it.

I wish I could help him somehow. Anyhow. I resolved last night to do anything and everything to get him and others like him to see how badly they're messing themselves up. (there are plenty of others like him, believe me, i know many. the difference is that while they would do what he is doing if they could, they don't have the appeal and the fan following and that insane talent he was granted by chance or by a higher power) He was supposed to make me hate myself. instead he made me a better person. why? I don't want to be a good person. I can't stand the selfless people who preach self important things. I don't want to be like that. But I just can't stand seeing him and all these other people who can maybe somehow be helped but they're destroying themselves and everyone who cares about them along with them. Miyavi could use his appeal for a greater good, instead, he is just being messed up. Move past it man. The world is full of idiots,. That's not news.

Maybe if he had just one person who loved him unconditionally and didn't betray him and didn't leave him no matter what he did, maybe Miyavi could be... helped. Maybe. But can such a person even exist???

With that said, both of you make excellent points... I'm really sorry again for all of this... I just wish I was one of the idiots who didn't see any better whom Miyavi hates, maybe then I'd be happier.

As I sadi, I understand your point, but on the other side...
the world is full of fools and stupid people and to make miyavi responsible for all of them..well, that´s somehow..i don´t know...weird. And maybe he himself can´t manage it anymore, maybe he has to be angry and selfish now, so he later can be a better person and help people instead of manipulating them and making fun of them. But..but...we don´t really know much about him, do we? we don´t know, what he is really thinking, what kind of people is he meeting and what king of conversations does he do..we actually don´t know him at all under his foolish mask...and well it is very difficult for me to judge him like this. somehow famous, influences the live of thousands, maybe millions of people, but it is really tiresome to behave always right, not to hurt anyone, be always the good one, the example. Nor Miyavi is.
You know, I would really like to meet Miyavi, to talk with him, to have a serious discussion, to get know him...th I could judge him or lesson him or say him he is just a stupid spoiled child and he should grow up...or say him he can depend on me, I will always be his friend...I wish I could, but like this, I can´t really say anything that would be the truth. It is just what I am thinking.
And it makes me angry as well.

And, I have read the lyric of his song many times, but I cant agree with molestthyguitarists..but, that doesn´t mean I am right and not you. I just don´t see it there, it seems for me a little paranoid... i just see the loneliness and fear..

I hope he will do better in the next few weeks, I don't want him to be sad or angry or something like this
Songs are always overacted, so he can handle his real life
So you have to look at his other lyrics they are so happy and optimistic
I believe in him, he can do it. Even if his life right now is not so easy

He can't make everybody happy, because it's just not possible.
I hope he finds a way to get happier again, but if he wants to be angry at the moment, thats ok too ... he is just human and have the right to feel exactly what he wants !
Otherwise, I have only dreamt of him once when I was sleeping, and it was over a month ago.
To dream about any guy when I sleep is extremely rare which explains it I suppose.

We shouldn't take things too seriously though because sometimes, songs are really like that...just songs with some far fetched inspiration. I dunno what to reply to who miyavi really is behind the mask he created because first of all, I really don't know him personally.

Ok, this time it's probably me who's gonna be flamed for this but I must say I'm not totally buying this "Miyavi is so sad now because they've been so bad to him act!"

Isn't it a little bit convenient also?, maybe he or his managers has decided to make room for the "Myv Street teams" and "Myv Fan clubs" in top friends and then create a "smoke screen" with this story so people would think he was egoistic.

I find it selfish actually, that everything on his page have to be about him, even his friends have to be all about him to be accepted as top friends ...

I just saying don't invest too much in this, specially emotionally, it might not be what it looks like ... :okashii:

Anyways, I don't think I drop in here for a few days, I have some celebrating to do.

He hates Americans? IF he dose then he should realize that he has allot of fans in America and it will be a total let down to all of the fans including me to find out he hates Americans. I hope he realizes not all of Americans are not like every one else that makes him hate us so much. And for him to skip out on a concert that's not nice that's how you loose fans I hope it is not true for I think he's an awesome guy and a very talented person. And if I went to a concert to see a band or performer and they skip out I would be very angry that I spent all this money on this band/performer and they decide not to go. And If I saw that person I would give them the evil look. I hope some fans did not ruin it for everybody else. And That's why he Hates Americans. I hope it's not true it will break my heart.:(

And he said allot good things about america of the world tour and he actually lived there for a couple months and he never said something bad about it when he actually was there in his blogs. eh, i wouldn't blame him if he hates the consumerist, empty, hive-mind, racist, brain dead part of america... you know the kind. i don't blame him for that, and if he at first assumed that most of us were like that. i was very disgusted with such behaviours when i first moved here, seven years ago. people here make fun of you for being different, even if you can't help it. for the first few years i didn't know the culture too well, and i didn't know the language well either, and they hated me for that, and i was always alone, so i read a lot, and actually got to the point where i was scoring at the top of the class on all reading/writing tests... and they hated me for that too. i was so alone, i wanted to die every day, and it really sucked. america really disappointed me at times. it wasn't until high school that i fell in with others like me. don't get me wrong, i LOVE living here. there are many people whom i care about very much whom i wouldn't have met if i wasn't living here, and so much i wouldn't have known if i wasn't living here, but at times i have to step back and say, WTF is wrong with these people???
so if Miyavi thought it was disgusting too, i don't blame him.

as for me, i'm from Russia... i live in Brooklyn now. *there i've admitted it* I actually assimilated into america so much that no one suspects I wasn't born here, its so annoying how people just hate anyone who's not like them without thinking about it... I was so happy when Obama won, cuz it's definitely time for a change (even Miyavi says so)
Thats why i'm still a Miyavi fan, despite any crap I said about him before on this thread... Cause his main message is, raise your middle finger up high and be different. I can really relate to that.

I don't hate him, he is a very talented (and very pretty) person, and despite this latest "flop" with his last album, I think he will step it up and still do great things in the future ...

I'm not sure what you mean with "Genii?" but it's just like I have said before, I'm not sure he have ever even personally made even one blog entry on MySpace him self.

Being as big as he is, he have staff to do everything for him, and then I really mean everything, he wouldn't have to lift a finger in person except what he have to do for the music part that is.

He have expert PR managers planning every public word that is said from him and about him in media, both Internet media and hard media (and with that I mean Magazines, TV etc.)

And I just don't want to waste any emotions on something that I'm not sure of, call it paranoia if you want, I don't care.

I give you this much, I'm not sure, I could be so wrong also, or just to a part, the point is that I can never be really sure ... either way ...

... and that this time, it was just a bit too convenient ...

Skulley, I forget who but someone here said that he bailed out on a concert and they got Sid instead and that he hates Americans and some ones girl friend saw him in concert and said he wasn't any good and I'm like he does not suck! Maybe he was having a bad day. People have bad days. But now I think about it If he skipped out on a concert maybe it was because he could not make it or he was really sick... And if he hates American so much why did he say one of his influences was Stevie Ray vhon and blues Guitarist because blues was invented in America. Maybe This person got it mixed up with another band I heard that one band had such a miserable time in America that they were not coming back because the way they were treated. I did see Miyavi wearing pants with American flag print on them, so now I feel better He must not Hate us like some one said on this thread.:-):bow:

Skulley, I forget who but someone here said that he bailed out on a concert and they got Sid instead and that he hates Americans and some ones girl friend saw him in concert and said he wasn't any good and I'm like he does not suck! Maybe he was having a bad day. People have bad days. But now I think about it If he skipped out on a concert maybe it was because he could not make it or he was really sick... And if he hates American so much why did he say one of his influences was Stevie Ray vhon and blues Guitarist because blues was invented in America. Maybe This person got it mixed up with another band I heard that one band had such a miserable time in America that they were not coming back because the way they were treated. I did see Miyavi wearing pants with American flag print on them, so now I feel better He must not Hate us like some one said on this thread.:-):bow:

And I know about this cuz I was standing right before him, first row in the middle, his micro right in front of me. I'm sorry if I sound arrogant, that wasn't my intention^^ but the concert is right in my mind.

I wasn't able to make a video too :') My mobile only makes videos of 15 sec. and I can make videos with my webcam but there isn't any sound ;__; Could use a camera of my dad but ok I was too late anyway ;3
The was some project at the world tour that people could send pics and drawings for miyavi and 2 persons were gonna make a scrapbook of it. My drawing made it in and the book was given to Saro at munich concert. I hope he saw it :3

As you said, the quality sucks but oh, I so love to have them in better quality and I'll try to find them.
I would also had hoped for one picture per month, must have been a disappointment for everybody I suppose though ...
Love the pic's though ... :cool:
And ok, I enhanced them as much as it is at all possible, but even I can't make miracles with quality as that, but at least it's a lot better, perhaps good enough to make a small own calender, I'm going to anyways to have at work ! :D

This is only version 1. Version 2 is coming soon. I'm still learning a few things, so version 1 is not agood as I can get it, but its still pertty good. Hope you all like it.

oh that's really good :) i don't know how to work with vectors in photoshop... and i mainly make landscapes/edit my photos to hide acne and extra 10 lb here and there. i am trying to convince my art teacher to let me do a portrait of miyavi in pastels for the final project (assignment being landscapes). maybe if i can find a landscape with miyavi in it that isn't just miyavi...

Though it doesn't really look like him, or rather the makeup makes it hard to see that it is him, but it is his "lips" those are unmistakable :-)

Hm, I don't know, I'm not sure he seemed "happier" before, actually I think he have gotten some very suitable maturity, not so hyper and over trying.

He seems calmer and more confident with him self.

really, i don't think he CAN quit. the music is all he's really got, and he's so good at it he can't help being famous. maybe the fame is whats making him sad at times. but music is such an integral part of his existence that i highly doubt he would be able to give it up... because what else would he do with his life if he did???

just how old is Miyavi anyway? i never bothered to check until now, and some sources say 22, others 27. or is he 22, but he's been 22 for 5 years now? XD

On his fingers- one hand: there are no greek letters..or more precisely, they are like-greek letters only. It is simply his name M written with Μ, Ψ for Y and a turned over Ω instead of V.

While I've been to Gaku-ani's shows before, this is the first chance I've had to really watch it...and I personally thought it was more like watching a movie rather than a live, and I found that, along with the story, each and every message is seeping with nature. While I don't think I can talk about the over-all production while it's still on tour, after occasionally discussing the production of it, to actually seeing the final picture, it was kind of profound. Though when it was over, backstage he was about to drop, since he's going to deliver his best to everyone at his remaining shows, the co-Miyavi that are going and the others too, I think you're really going to have a great time. Oh, and Gaku-ani, be sure to take care of yourself and your throat!! from ur BRO

I know from the beggining, that he is a guy, because I started to listen to him before I knew, how he looked like. But anyway, I don´t think, i would confuse him with a girl. True, he has some photos, where he looks very feminine, but on the most of them you can tell, it is just a damn pretty guy and not a girl.

The first time I saw Miyavi, it was in the Kimi Ni Negai Wo vid one of the other girls was watching in computer class, *blasting full volume and no one even complained, wtf is this, cromartie high school??* and i was soo freaked out... but i eventually grew to love him. i found selfish love especially cute <3

the girls in the band want to do covers of aho matsuri, selfish love, papa mama and senor senora senorita... we're still stuck on trying to play vanilla and standing sex tho... if Miyavi ever sees us play, he'd probably laugh cause we're so bad.... XD

Anyways, it seems like myvs have problems again, I was so shocked, he have closed his blog comments again, he checks all comments before allowing them to be posted again and this time I know why.
I was like the third to comment his post this time and someone replied with some really weird things to my reply (you know if you reply to someones reply your post get to be under that persons, getting you on the first page, even if you're late to reply, since some people would do about anything to get his attention)
... it's better if I take a print screen of the email I got when he/she replied to my blog comments, maybe you understand better then ...
I think he is being harassed by someone, and that someone used my post to do it, :wary:
I just answered on his blog post (the one about his commenting on his own picture) that "Well, it's a nice pixx" and this person did replied to my post like this:

The post that this person made have been removed but as I said, he doesn't accept blog comment without checking them first now !

Ok, you got it about right, I don't think this has anything to do with his other moods, I just think this is why he wants all blog comments to checked before allowing them to be published. I haven't checked the profile comments if it's the same with them.
I only know that this Sugar Cake answered this to my post, since I got a e-mail about it. Maybe she replied to others comments also, maybe even more rudely, maybe this person also has a inappropriate avatar, nude or so, I don't think it's a he, I think it's a "she" who desperately wants his attention.

But I know of "fake" myv profiles both on Tagged and on Imeem for example, you can never catch them all ... they are like a never ending river ... :okashii:

and there is a big difference between a profile that supports myv, and a imposer trying to pretend to be him. If you have a support page, you should clearly state that somewhere in the profile, also not use the exact name that he have !!!

there are actually a lot of similarities between Miyavi and Kyo of Dir en grey, especially with lyrics. Of course, Kyo's are more poetic, whereas Miyavi's are more rough, but those I believe are just personality differences. But in many of Kyo's bios it says he never really fit in, thought fitting in was ridiculous, and didn't want to be one of the crowd, and thought people were stupid. Possibly, Miyavi feels the same way?

hm...that´s funny. because kyo is more "rough" in a way than miyavi...but miyavi is an individual..what is I think quite difficult in a society like Japan...and of course, Miyavi I think he has this feeling of not "fitting in"...
I can perfectly understand this, because I am a little "off" as well, I couldn´t really fit anywhere...
it often happens, that people like that act a little arrogant and mock the others, because they find them boring, or uniform, and are afraid to melt with the crowd...but on the other hand, they are feeling alone, because no one can understand them.
Of course, the best defense is offense, therefore they attack and make fun of people or act all the time happy and cheerful and funny and shout a lot and talk a lot..
sorry, i stop now. But this is what I think I could guess about Miyavi..and I think to some point I am right.

well yes true, but kyo's ain't afraid to die or akuro no oka or 304 goushitsu are a lot more poetic than miyavi's kimi ni negai wo... then again hydra 666 and tsumi to batsu, hades, agitated screams of maggots, zomboid are very rough explicit lyrics compared to selfish love or aho matsuri... though in a way i felt that aho matsuri was basically saying the same things agitated screams of maggots was, but kyo just said it and miyavi made us look for it... but u get what i mean...
of course their styles are vastly different, but both of them being kind of role models for me, i research them both a lot and read lyrics... and i kind of see a lot of similarities. i dunno, maybe it's just me, cuz i tend to see connections where others think none exist.
as for the not fitting in. he definitely doesnt. he's half korean. he's freaking tall. he has those pretty lips of his. his face is vaguely ambigenderous (i didn't say he looks like a girl but that he could put on a dress and pass for one). he's insanely talented, and insanely smart. no way in hell he could fit in. no one with half an ounce of brains in their head fits in. i know i don't... but miyavi is a lot smarter than i am, i'm guessing...

oddly i remember reading an interview with john lennon, and he said that the beatles didn't really start any cultural revolution, that people just used them as an excuse to go crazy and stuff, and that it made him pissed. (obviously not in these words) i'll try to look for the book that it was in... also it said something about the beatles having a love-hate relationship with their fans, like they adored the attention, but couldn't stand being stalked.
*thinks back* lennon got shot by a crazed fan, didn't he??? *chills run down spine* if i were miyavi, i'd be wearing a bulletproof vest underneath those pretty kimonos of his. he reminds me of john lennon too much sometimes.
