Haven't been here in a while - I missed a lot!

well I dont like these girls either esp. coz like somebody already said, they look like theyre easy to have but on the other hand...nobody said that something happened after these pics were taken. maybe they just danced and that's it. if so, let the guy have some fun...

I don't like those pics with those chicks aswell....It makes me jealous and sad. my brain just stops thinking rational and i am getting pissed xDD

Really shaked his hand?, so cool !

I'm going tomorrow evening here in Stockholm, and I'm so nervous I don't know what to wear or how to wear my hair, I bought clothes for almost 1000 sek (would be around $150).

But since I'm a little old for their age group I'll keep a low profile and hang in the bar with the one I'm going with.

How ever the person I'm going with has this really expensive camera and I have hired him to take loads of awesome pictures in best case ! :wave:

... and a final word of the girls myvs danced with.

Well, I doubt very many of us here would turn him down either, or "play hard to get" if they got the chance to be with myv RL.

But the once he danced with didn't just look easy, they looked like sluts,
you know the type that would do it for money and fame rather than love !

That was the feeling I got ... but if I think about it, I don't blame him for enjoying him self, I mean, so do I when I go out.

And no, I think he will choose another musician if he can, a girl performer or similar when he have to make a "real choice of mate" !

It was so cool after the concert, it was the meet and greet thing
my knees shaked so hard ^^
but they started the show 1 hour earlier than it was planned
so I didn't get the chance to make my hair right...
To the girls:
I think he had just fun dancin' with some whores ^^
maybe he drank a little to much
Who wouldn't do that, if you were him
Btw they don't look like fans ^^ so they maybe heard that he is famous and danced with him xD

i dunno, when i saw them, i thought they were hookers at first, cuz that's how hookers dress around here... and miyavi was a lot prettier than them (no matter what gender he could have been, he's prettier)
actually... i would probably turn him down in RL if i saw him and he asked me to hook up with him. that would make him MORE interested in me.
i agree the only kind of person he can go with is another famous person, because then she won't get mauled by the fans.
but miyavi i'm sure, knows what he is doing... btw don't worry if you think he's on drugs or anything. he couldn't be. the musical and social climate in japan is much different than in usa... if a performer gets caught with even a lil bit of it, or stoned... his or her career is over. their records get taken off the shelves, their label drops them and no one will take them, and the media scandal accompanying it would be huge.
music is everything for miyavi, he wouldn't risk it.

Actually a guy that asks only for one thing, doesn't get "interested" in girls that way, they just go to the next one ... but well, I don't think I could take the risk to turn him down. I mean, I still would know there wouldn't be any real chance for anything but a short fling, so I'll probably take the chance !

oh yes, it is that bad and worse. unless they died while high and were really REALLY huge like hide-sama did, then it's ignored... (i read somewhere he'd been drunk and high on weed when he died). but no offence to meevs, but he's not nearly as huge as hide, nor as original. a lot of the songs he did and a lot of the things he does mirror hide-sama's act... but he wouldn't be so stupid as to do drugs. he can't afford to. he's not that huge, and the media would have a field day with it until he'd be lil itsy bitsy bits of miyavi (very pretty and bright colored but OVER) so he can't do that. of course he might be THAT stupid, but i dunno... i don't think its drugs. alcohol (???) maybe but drugs no.

the us has a very different climate socially. here all the role models claim to take drugs, or sold drugs, or got killed in drug and gang related shootouts. or they're miley cyrus. in america, if 50cent posed in a frilly girl dress and wig and sh*tload of eye makeup he'd be over. in japan, he'd get MORE fangirls. Same if Tupac kissed another guy. in the us it's all very different. needless to say i think it's better to be a japanese musician because they are so no-nonsense about drugs, which is a very positive thing for young kids. instead of taking drugs, they cross-dress, learn to be great musicians, and etc.

Hm, well, I think I can say that Miyavi is the no 1 solo artist in Japan now, only maybe taken in popularity by Gazette, who even I had heard about before this late summer/autumn.
And well, Hide, I have heard the story, some claim it was an accident, some say suicide. But he was just a member of a group X-Japan, not a solo artist, and well, what can I say, he is not "my type" actually he reminds me in look of an old best friend I had as younger, same squared face with this little pointed chin, and same eyes ... and also the same kind of distant cold attitude ... maybe that's why I can't find Hide attractive, I don't know.

Oh, well in all, anyways, Japans drug policy explains some, I sometimes posts at Sakuras blog, he is the ex. drummer of L'Arc~en~Ciel and he was kicked out from the band because of alcohol and drugs. I found this very surprising when I heard about it the first time, but obviously that is the way it is over there. :souka:

LOL @ the reaction to the club pics. No worries, ladies. Those pics are at least a year old(when did he play in vegas?) There was actually a post to go along with the pics but I can't find the girl's post anymore. The women he's dancing with were employeed by the club he was playing at. They were there to keep him entertained(mission accomplished, i guess.lol).

If there were any woman to be suspicious about, it'd be his "sister" sitting on the couch in the first pic. but that probably really is his sister, since I've yet to met a guy crazy enough to dance like that with other women in front of his GF.LOL

On the Drug thing: I've also heard it was a big no no in Japan.if i'm not mistaken someone'd asked a DEG member if they smoked weed or something and they said no b/c strict criticism against it over there.

I readed of a girl who was there that they were girls who work there and from those local girls who just go to him because they wanna make a good impression for the club. Those girls who work there are probaly being told that they need to entertain him because they started dancing for him on the table and he joined them.

ok so this aint about the girls or anything, its about his blog few days ago (we talked about this like 2 pages earlier) and it just came to me because a friend told me that and i think she's right. about this one here:

maybe you know that already lol but i never got that "gimme a break" part and after my friend told me that she thinks he means it like i explained, i was like "why didnt i think of that myself"

well...if he means it really like this, he's right, he needs a break and he damn deserves one. some people are just so selfish, i dont get it.

Just a few weeks after he has finished his tour, people started to ask for a next one. Or they please him to come to their contry.

I said so from he very start.
I am sure he likes his fans more than any other star, but even he has some borders. I new he meant it like this, or else, why would he write it in english and CAPSLOCK? Something I did notice when he danced with the girls was though that he was alone with them. I mean I never go out alone, I always go out with a friend or two.
But he sat there all alone with them and danced alone with them, I've never much seen him with "friends", how come really?
I'm sure there are loads of guys out there who'd love to be his "best mate" ... it's just strange!

And I just got home from the LM-C concert and ...

Ok, I was there, and of course, as always nothing goes as planed.
No pixx at all, it wasn't allowed to take in the camera at all, and then they actually deleted even all my cell phone pictures, yes, I know this sounds like a lame excuse, and it would be if it wouldn't been for the fact that it is the truth ...

And if that wasn't enough ... I mean the concert was great, and I had a great time, and the guitarist Aiji was Ohhhhhh... sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet ! and I felt some kind of connection ... obviously somebody else also saw this too and was considerate enough to be jealous enough to put a chewing gum in my hair, how fun was that to find it when I got home, I actually had to cut it out :(

When I was at the concert of miyavi it wasn't allowed to make pics too. It really sucked but for some reason it was really great not to watch to all those screens infront of u X3 You could take your mobile inside but if u made pictures they kicked u out. I heard 4 people were kicked out because they made a picture. Its really sad but at the same time I was like: Well its your own fault x__X And believe me it makes it more special when you see pictures of the concert!

... and we'd stand a little bit on the side, behind the big bunch, but Tyrol is very small actually, where ever you stand you are no more than at most 5-6m from the stage which is close enough to make a good eye contact if you get the chance !
Well, in a way it still was just a "dress rehearsal" for the big event of this spring when An Café is coming the 19th of Mars ... and I've got tickets !!! :D

But ok, back to business and Miyavi, right! *lol* ...

UH??? hide had 2 solo albums to his name, actually, and died while working on the third one. the song "Pink Spider" went to the top of the charts. Give it a listen, it is quite excellent. Kinda like Miyavi in the beginning of his solo career but a thousand times better. He wasn't just a "hired gun" with X. and his records sold quite well.

UH??? hide had 2 solo albums to his name, actually, and died while working on the third one. the song "Pink Spider" went to the top of the charts. Give it a listen, it is quite excellent.
Oh, I just listened to "Pink Spider" and I just got "chills" ... don't misunderstand me, I know Hide was a genius, no doubt!
I can always tell who is and who aren't, or wheren't, but sometimes I just feel the urge to criticize ... and maybe I'm mostly angry at him for dyeing on us, he had so much still to do, so much more to give *sniffs*

the first time i heard pink spider, my best friend had stuck an earphone in my ear, and i thought wow, this guy's great, sounds so familiar, wonder when the next cd is coming out. so i ask her, who is this? and she was like, i'm not telling you, you'll think i'm creepy. i said, i already do, so who is it? i tried to guess, but it wasn't miyavi's voice ... i had to mention X just in case, and she was like, close, very close. and then i had to start crying.
i'm not angry at hide for dying, on some level he might have wanted to. but i don't believe it was a suicide. he didn't mean to leave us with three tracks of an unfinished album, an unfulfilled promice of a band with Yoshiki, and a bath towel around his neck. if he were REALLY going to kill himself, i think he would have come up with a better way to do it. besides if you'd seen the last interview he'd done, theres no way that guy was suicidal. not to mention how the tracks were placed on the cd. and you know, a thousand other reasons.
lately i feel like i've been haunted by hide, actually. i can't stop hearing the song, not even in my sleep, not even when i'm listening to other music. on friday, my entire body hurt so much, i had to go back to bed halfway through the day, and i just slept for two and a half days straight and dreamt of nothing but the song... hide... sigh...
anyway, back to miyavi. i'll take my hide theories to a different thread... tho i think i want to buy a cool cowboy hat first.
I can see what you mean, specially about posting stuff on different threads, when you speaking about different things/people.
But then again, I feel I know you guys on this thead lots better than some other peope on other threads, though I know people
on the the Alice Nine thread also, specially "Dove" who is a lovely helpful person.

And it's hard to tell where to draw the boundry, what is or isn't Miyavi related, I think, actually I'm sure Miyavi has been influensed by Hide a lot,
and takes after him also, the style and all, just like Olosta says.

I'm also sorry that you feel so deeply for Hide that you almost get sick because of it...

My biggest problem is that I almsot feel like I'm cheating on my feelings for Myvs, now with this thing about Aiji ...

and as you sad, crys, it´s hard to draw a line btw RL and IRL (or btw reality and fantasy), especially when someone is so open and close with fans like miyavi..
and the thing with Jrockers- maybe more generally, I was often thought weird, because even before I know Jrock, I liked skinny and slim guys, not the muscled and macho and hairy ones and everyone looked just like I was an idiot, when I said I liked for example Jonathan Brandis, or that I thought Johny Depp in Edward the Scissorhand is totally hot and sexy (other thought him creepy there)

Well but sticking to miyavi again... he opened his mind to us fans and he always keeps a very close contact. but since the world tour was over, he seems so serious and I guess he changed. Maybe not in a negative way but we all could read such things very often, where we ask ourselves, if he needs a break from us.
Well i guess it is not easy and he does not want to disappoint someone.
The year has started and it is almost march. And yet nothing new from him. And all people beg him to come to their country. That must be the highest pressure ever. I would not woonder, if he would not tour this year.

I don´t think he will go on a big tour this year...that would be too much, it would exhaust him, and he was exhausted like hell last year..when I saw the comment from the 1. 12. 2008 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_zT-fVf3ew), it was a shock, he almost slept there and there was no enthusiasm...and I was very worried about him.
It hard, how to deal with the fans, how to keep the necessary distance but yet be close enough to reach them..If I just could say to him take a break, relax a little without annoying him, it would be great. But the concern of the fans IS the thing that annoys him (obviously, although he didn´t say so because he is too considerate)
I don´t know what to do an I am beginning to feel desperately and confused..
hm..do you think he ever stumbled upon this forum? (wow that would be a disaster in a certain way, considering what we wrote here,but on the other hand, we wrote some really nice things..I am making no sense, right::D)

well, i want to be a visual kei star in japan!!!!! *yah not very practical*
i just saw BLOOD last week... i was way up front and pretty much raped them all :-) but i don't see it as if Miyavi is missing out on any attention from me just cause i spent the rest of the week telling all my friends about how awesome they were and how cute the lead singer was... i hope visual kei doesnt die out, but as long as peeps like Meevs and Dir en grey are keeping true to the visual kei definition of "Psychedelic Violence Crime of Visual Shock" then we are good to go!!! (Dir en grey not visual kei?? Look at a picture of that cute lil evil china doll that is Kyo, drenched in blood, sweat, semen, etc. Is this visually shocking?? Case closed.)
I am certain i would either live in japan or here in NYC. don't get me wrong, i love japan, but i love my good old brooklyn here too. its the only place where we could discuss the sale of rifles and shotguns at wal-mart and k-mart in history class. where else would the teacher state, "i am afraid it will be some time before automatic weapons are sold at wal-mart."
i know that i'd be making music no matter where i live, whether there is anyone who listens to it or not, and i don't give a **** about being famous or rich. i just wanna make music!!! and if i am good enough i might get famous or i might not. either way...

and miyavi was inspired by hide. a large number of modern jrockers were. for example, kaoru from diru lists hide's autograph as one of the three most important things in his life, alongside dir en grey and his fans. and die from the same band is rumored to sleep with a hide plushie on tour.

well i preffer a more-hair-on-the-head-less-hair-on-the-body visual kei...
but diru are still awesome (but I miss toshiya in the bitchy outfits he used to wear, man, he does have nice legs!)

and yes, visual is dying out, at least the original style, because visual is lot of makeup, nice hairdo, funny dresses and today you can´t see so much of it on the scene. Even Miyavi I wouldnt call strictly visual...he is undescriptable unique and original, but not exactly visual.
I miss the millenium style!

He's still damn sexy tho :-) He was always the man... even when he was wearing dresses and tiaras and more makeup than the girls... ah he was so pretty though, with all that golden hair. I'm planning to finish my school, then go to secondary school - mathematical direction, then medical university and I'm going study Japanese. Then I will specialize and go live in Japan and work as a forenzic anthropolgyst! :-) Isn't it just great?! :D

Absolutely, you're so lucky to be able to study Japanese, I applied for to do that a few months ago but got turned down, something stupid about that our district doesn't have a cooperation agreement with that particular school that I applied to and that is the only one that have an "adult free course" in Japanese where I live :(

well I study Wood science and Japanese.

I have to study the economic, math, physics, biology, chemistry, woodphysik, woodbiology, woodchemistry, dendrology, microbot and so on x___X
So I can work all over the world and I can trade for example wood, or work with some companies to produce paper, houses, windows and so on

I'm also doing sth called BWL in germany (i dont know the english word for it) but with this I can work mostly in every company.... and like I said.. math physics biology...... aaargh I have to learn too much.
The only thing i'm doing at the moment is learning....

I'm learning Japanese only for fun at my university... It's really hard to find some space for it in my schedule, but ok.
i'm starting at 8.oo am and my day ends with japanese at 21.oo x___X

my only hobby at the moment is visiting some concerts in the night xDDDDD

Earlier I have worked as a systems owner and web editor for Ericsson in Sweden and before that many other things.
I have worked a lot in my life, my first permanent job I was only barely 16 years old which have also made me very independent, I have an own apartment etc. This may all sound very boring, but I'm not really a boring person as such ... I think !

there are some cute asian guys who dress nice and dye their hair weird colors and wear makeup, but 99% of them speak no english and/or have totally gorgeous tiny little asian girlfriends with totally cute clothes that make me (at 5'8) feel inadequate... the only one whom i talk to on a regular basis has been with his (totally gorgeous hispanic) girlfriend for over 2 years now, and i cant see him that way, not to mention that he's a dork. (he does cross-dress but only for cosplay) he's one of the guys i met who didn't make me want to vomit in some way (not counting the guys who never bothered to talk to me). number two on my list of guys who did not make me vomit decided he was gay. he likes gackt now. -_-" my number three was actually a possibility, but it didn't work out and he is currently attending college in IOWA, and last we checked he had a cute girlfriend from the same state. -_-" and finally, theres my last possibility, who was actually a year ahead of me in my old middle school, and we have all the same friends but only had like one real conversation... he is in the night class with me now, and our guidance counsellor tried to convince he might be my type... but... he's so shy... and i'm very shy in school also... and if we don't like the same music we're not going to click. so its a very big IF, MAYBE... (he has two lip rings, long hair, glasses, is taller than me, and plays the guitar)

5,8" that would be 172 cm, we are almost as tall, I'm 170cm (5,7"). and I know exactly what you mean. Not only are they short (or we are too tall) but they are also very thin, like almost half of our weight. But the weight doesn't have to be a problem really (at least not for me) I've been with thin Swedish and Latino guys also before. The hight is more problematic, you can never really get over if your bf is shorter ... it just feels awkward !

I had to do a root filling just before X-mas and eat antibiotics as I got a bad inflammation, but I still couldn't sleep for almost 2 weeks.

like I mentioned before, I think the contact with his fans is for him like a replacement of a relationship. he has nobody else, the fans love him and he loves them so as long as this guy doesnt get a woman, he's in the "relationship" with his fans.

If truth be said,I was shocked with the news of Miyavi leaving PSC. I mean...he has been there for ten years and well..I can't imagine PSC without Miyavi. (aahh...don't mind my rambling...) There must be some other reason for leaving....aside from wanting to see what is over the rainbow....and refuse to know the reason..at least,not now that I was shocked. It will take a while for me to get used to it though. There is no doubt that will still continue on supporting him but..but...but....it's sad. (for me)

Yes, I have also heard that it's usual for performers to look at the last row, but it was exactly there where I was standing, and since it wasn't even half full it was close to the scene. I don't think it was Aijis intention to "seek eye contact" really, it just happen, first he glanced once and then twice, then three time, just little like "casual" you know. But I think it was the forth time when we had this real connection, you know when eyes meet and you like confirm mutual attraction, and you feel like a 1000 Volts goes through your body. It only lasted for a few seconds but it felt a lot longer. He kept glancing at me even after that loads of times, but he didn't really wanted to show that he was "staring" and it wasn't like he hadn't his hands full with playing the guitar and certainly didn't have time to play eye games with me *lol*... but it was cool !!! awesome actually !!!
I'm sure it has happened to every body sometimes and that is the last thing I'm going to talk about it.
I'm not expecting it to happen with any other artist on any other show. Specially not on the Miyavi show, I'm sure it'll be completely sold out and I'll be just another face in the crowd.
They will only release 3000 tickets, though they still seemed to have tickets left today, so hurry up if you're interested in getting one ! :cool:

I'm so sad about hearing that Miyavi leaved PS Company. :( I just wonder why did he do it? :( They were for him anytime and he didn't have any problems with them before. haha LOL Miyavi isn´t jpop...although some of his songs sound like it, he is unique.
well, if you are looking for the visual kei, try the wikipedia. It isn´t very explanatory, but you can get a basic idea.
I really don´t know, why artist in visual rock started to wear make-up, but my guess is, that it has something in common with the name visual- visualy atractive. Visualy catchy. The idea isn´t japanese, it existed in western music as well- f.e. Queen, Kiss etc.
Now, the style changed a lot from it´s begining- the golden era were the 1997- 2002 years. And I guess, they noticed soon, that girls like men, who aren´t hairy, shave their underarms and legs and care for themselves. The make-up is a stage thing, as well as clothes.
And don´t really don´t get offended by answers, that are so passionately defending miyavi, because for us here he is a person Nr.1. Not only because of his looks (which is very attractive), but above all for his music and personality. He is very clever and intelligent and well you can read some of his lyrics, you will understand what I am talking about), he does look feminine, but as I said, he can be masculine.

Visaul Kei is a style when men wear very feminine things, put make - up and have strange haircuts. They wear skirts, halters(like Uruha from Gazetto)... But that DOESN'T mean that they are gay or that they are tranvestites. -_-

well, japanese are different...bu I don´t see anything wrong with the picture. Maybe only our twisted minds see something dirty and filthy behind nothing else than aestethics and fashion.
And to the feminine thing- you know, as history evolves, opinions on what is feminine and masculine changes...men used to have long hair, wore make-up and jewelry in the past - the greeks, the barock and so on, I could list lot of examples. Or women- in my country nobody wondered 20 years ago, when a women didn´t have shaved legs or underarms- today only older women don´t shave.
so, it´s just how open we are to accept something new, what is disturbing on the first sight to us.
You know, visual isn´t just about make-up and crossdressing, the lyrics of the songs aren´t only about love and emo, they have epic, they have power-.
Just let it be for today and try to digest everything step by step.
By the way- there are some VKbands, that are all-girls: like Danger gang, Exist Trace :D

I have met quite a few transvestites and and transsexuals in my life. Just go down Oxford Street in Sydney ( Australia, if you're wondering :) ) at Friday or Saturday night and you know exactly what I mean.

I realize back then men did do what would now look like feminine things, but even then they made clear distinctions between male and female dress codes.

Right now I feel like an 80-year-old when I look at some of the stuff going on in the world. :)

haha..but you know, that´ s the curse of generations...every generations cries where the world is heading to and what will happen...and that the next generation will be damned for it´s behaviour...it´s just like this.
And don´t mix fashion with the way of living. Miyavi, for example, loves children more than any other artist I know and I am sure he wan´t to marry one day and have a regular family.
The world just goes further not caring about those who ca t keep the pace.
And to borderlines- I am sure you know, japanese society is more traditional than western one...but as in West, the line is thinner in the entertainment and worlds infiltrate each other creating an illusion and fancy dreams, where you can get easily lost. But don´t forget- everything is just a game.

It all boils down to one's own morals and conceptions of life.

I try not to be prideful, but it passed down from my father. As such, I would never be able to pull something of that sort off, no matter for what reason.

Sure, loving children is nice. I love children as well, and may have overdone it a bit in the Thread about drugs.

But, I wouldn't get them to dress in latex clothing and sexy lingerie.

Somewhere in my brain, a part of me would die, if I ever did that.

well..yes and no. he makes his own unique style. He played in a band before, they made Jrock- visual kei. Then he went independent ans a solo artist- his first two albums were indie rock, the next rock, and the album after that and after that more pop. Last year´s album was a crossing btw pop, hip-hop, rap and rock, and the last album was eletctronic- remixes of his older works. He changes every year and is still searching...he likes to combine genres and eliminate boundaries between them.
He changes his appearance as well- maybe you have noticed the different hairstyles he had, or that he took out his trademark lip- nose and eyebrow ring.
He surprises us every day with something new.
that´s why I said- he is like a chameleon.

Hm, personally i didnt like the remixes but I am on a general basis very much against electronica and cyber... to me its like, video killed the rock star and now a snotty nosed teenager and a hot girl with minimal talent and a short skirt killed the musician... but well, if you like that kind of stuff, good luck with that. Sugizo's songs off Myspace is about as electronic as i go... i wanted to kill myself during DJ Sosen's set at the Blood gig... but if you like it, well, it's there, and sorry if i offended.

You might want to listen to Sugizo if you like electronic... even I liked it. He used to be with Luna Sea, but that's classic VK right there... he and MYV collaborated on a song, and they are in the superband SKIN together with Gackt and Yoshiki (you might like Gackt too, check out Sayonara and Redemption)...

Glad that myvs seems like his tooth ache is better now! :relief:
Otherwise about his electronic music, well, normally, I love electronic music, I actually made some my self, the one on my own MySpace Profile for example is something I have composed my self in E-Jay and that is electronic.
But myvs normal style & his new electronic style, well, I'm not sure it's match made in heaven ... but I have two of them on my cell phone !
Wouldn't mind listening to a few of his electronic songs/remixes, though. If they are good. :)
