just heard about meev's leaving psc. I hope this doesnt mean he's quitting music. A music world without miyavi is not a world i want to live in. PSC without miyavi...thats just not right. I hope everything is ok.

but you have to have a livejournal account and join the group...but it´s free, you just join and can immediately download
there are scan pics from various magazines, so you have a date

@remixer maybe because this is one of the most active forums about Japan? or because Japan is very popular in Germany right now? maybe, I am not sure and really, it doesn´t bother me
by the way, I live in Germany as well now

@rawruki: wow, that´s right. Hm..but most of the pics from 2008 are pics from the tour and lives...and 2007...clothes...?

Well, I'm originally from Germany (Süd-Niedersachsen) and I lived in my hometown last year from the beginning of May to the beginning of November.

Never heard anything about Japan or Japan-related while I was there, not even from my girlfriend back then.

Maybe I'm just ignorant. :)

once I almost ran into a group of three young men, who suddenly appeared behind the corner, but I avoided the collision...alas! there were so wonderful, as if they stepped out from some japanese fashion magazine!
I could have rather let me knock down...and let them help me on feet..
*snif snif*
would be fun at least..

but mostly they are just average japanese tourists..

Never realized there were many Japanese in Germany, since I haven't seen a single one of them during my stay there.

Compared to that, I see hundreds of Filipinos and Chinese people every day here in Dubai.

*EEP* *dies of nosebleed* woooooooooooooow soooooo cute *happy fangirl squeal* gorgeous... i just luv him goth :-)

i hope he gets to have a wife and a family someday (apart from the iphone and the guitars lulz) it makes me want to cry when i think about how much he's missing out on with the fans as they are at times and all that... but i mean there is hope... i read somewhere (cant find it anymore tho) that Toshiya has five kids (????) and Kaoru has 3... so maybe this is a possibility for Miyavi, if he distances himself from his fans. If Miyavi-kun is happy, i dont mind his being far away from me. The music takes me as close as i want to be anyway... i've said this before but i think music is a way of pretty much grinding a lil bit of your heart and soul into lil bits and pieces and presentin it to the masses at large and goin, oh, here we go, my heart and soul, enjoy. i've got a lil bit of Miyavi every time i listen to his songs... and if that is the closest i'll ever be to him, i'm happy...

of course he's not quitting music... i think maybe he just wants to start producing new acts?? it would really be cool to work with miyavi in that sense...

lulz i'd be happy to give kyo a baby... or die :-) i dunno if miyavi and i would be compatible, i think he needs someone patient, not someone who is, y'know, hardcore, self-destructive, a former heavy drinker and cutter, and the last book i'd read is titled, Paint It Black, a guide to gothic homemaking... yah, not good wife material. can you really imagine meevs coming home to a dark lair covered with x and diru posters, dragons, lots of oriental decorations, a wife dressed in black andwearing dark red lipstick to bed, and going, oh wow, honey, wonderful dyed-black pork buns you've made here... XD jk i'm not that bad :D i'm actually not very goth, and i like bright colors, but well, i think y'all get what i mean. if meevs gets married, he needs someone, y'know... patient... and halfway to sane... not the female marilyn manson (exaggerating)

for starters, he has SEVERE back and wrist and neck problems... he has to wear braces and he passed out at the hide memorial summit, they carried him away there was blood on his wrists and everything, thats why the reunion tour is so slow... and he drummed so hard he tore a muscle in his shoulder... poor yoshiki... *wants to hug yoshiki* like, his back would break if he didnt wear a brace, and everything... so no babymaking for him... Actually, I'm all with you in this case ... I'm not throwing blame, but I don't want to be mislead. I don't care how old anyone are in here are as such, but if someone tells you are 12y you expect them to behave as such etc ...

well, it was just a margina remark..because, you know, when I joined the forum, we were in the phase of "raping" him, and I wrote all those things and then I saw, Tokyo girl is 12 O_o and a chill run down my spine...
I am not prude, I am perverted a lot, but 12 is after all not enough...
but I am not judging, I do not! It just surprised me a little, because as I said, I wasn´t thinking about those things in that age..
I think for fangirls we are behaving very well..all of us..we aren´t rabid or crazy and that´s good, that´s why I am still staying here..:D

I was surprised at Tokyo Girl's age as well.

Truth be told, though, she does seem rather intelligent and has a more affluent way of writing than most girls her age, which would explain why people don't really notice her age until they look below her avatar.

Feb 19, 2009, 17:53
yes, that´ s exactly what I was thinking about. Despite the young age of the girls here, you are really thoughtful and I like what you write. And I like that I meet here people of all the world and we all share the same passion for our guitar samurai! (sometimes I really regret the internet wasn´t so common when I was teen)

Ppl, look. I speak English so well bcuz I got to the private classes since I was 5. And I'm very educated. My parents are too, so.. Don't tell me that you think that I'm presenting to be someone that I'm not?! O.O

olosta
Feb 19, 2009, 19:04
no, no, what I wrote was a praise. Because even you have to give me right, most 12 years old teens aren´t as clever and usualy don´t write things with deeper meaning. I am not saying it is not possible, but my experience says so.
Again on the other hand, it is all right, it is natural. I was different in 12 as well, I thought so much about the world and living and such things, but most of my classmates thought ever of fashion, boyfriends and made stupid intrigues.
So am am delighted, that I was able to find young people here, that are different as well
:D
and tokyo girl, it´s not about education. Someone can be educated and still an ash***e. It´s about personality, about humanity. If you have that in you, you will behave like this. And you apparently have a personality, already in this young age. Not everyone has one, cherish it!

no we're just saying that you are very intelligent for your age... you are lucky :-) as olosta said, one could be educated and an *******. so education has nothing to do with it. you're blessed with grey matter in your skull (and i have met plenty of ppl twice your age who werent) and we're just taking note of that... uh yeah everyone's already put it better than i did, anyway...

so miyavi does read his comments again... i feel happy that i commented him the other day now... though he probably didn't read it cuz theres so many other ppl commenting him...

so a good thing happened today to me... i got to talking to one of the other kids at the internship seminar i had to attend, and i didn't know him cuz hes from canarsie and i'm at fdr and those two usually dont mix... anyway he asked me to explain goth and VK to him cuz he didnt know anything about it, and he wanted to understand what the hell the "goth" kids at his school was goin on about. long story short i ended up pulling out my folder covered in pix of Meevers and many other Jrockers (seriously Tokyo girl, if you're going to give them ALL babies, i recommend getting with more than one at the same time... wait, am i telling you how you should hook up with more than one guy at the same time?? shame on me... XD) and i told him, check it out, yo. and he was like, hmm, are any of them female, and i was like, you tell me. he looked very closely at miyavi (y'know that pic where he's reclining and it was just after he took his cutie lip ring out)and then he was like, naw, that's a dude... is that a girl? *points to the one guy who was never mistaken for a girl, Val from Duel Jewel*

Lemme repeat that for all o'y'all :-) Miyavi was actually not mistaken for a girl!!!!!!!!!!:cool::cool: :yeahh: victory!!

Yeah, shame on you! Kidding!

Well, olosta, maybe you are right about having a personality. I dunno, I'm just like that... Talking type. I always tell what do I think... And it's not that everything's in personality. The education takes part too. xD

Anw, I'm so happy about Miyavi's post. I'm glad that he's OK.

Yay for Miyavi being recognized as a guy!
but we all know, he is a guy..

I want so badly write something to him...but only f I knew, that he would read it..

@tokyo girl: I like people who say everything into you face, and not talk behind your back. Because then I can react to them, and not think everything is ok, when i fact they are talking behind my back.

LOL. I am sorry, this will be off topic, but I couldn´t help myself, when I saw the picture:

hmm that is the baby that Tokyo girl will someday give birth to and well we can guess the father XD jk
i actually came across a bunch of baby pix that werent miyavi for sure (unless as a baby miyavi was black?) but were tagged miyavi, leading me to assume someone out there named their baby miyavi... hmm... interesting world...
oh, and about die... i dunno, i mean, if it were really true, wouldnt there be like a media uproar and stuff, like with wacko jacko??? anyway i remember at 15, i had a friend the same age as me, and she was dating the lead singer of the band the academy is and he used to date that guy travis from gym class heroes... funny thing is that travis i think recently married katy perry of the i kissed a girl fame XD the irony lulz... anyway they are still together, though she lied about her age and told him she was 18 at first... so mb something like that happened? ah watever, who cares, i dont have any teenage children, and i think if i hear that die was involved with a younger girl, i'll assume SHE raped HIM lulz :p anyway if you have no idea who any of the ppl i was goin on about, well, you were fortunate enough to be spared modern american music and i recommend you DONT look into them as they suck.

As I said in my private message to you, I just had to make sure ! As you say, you are unusually educated for your age and your English is excellent

About that rape myv thing, it was just kind of a inside joke here, even I was hesitant to it first but it was kind of funny after a while, not taken serious ....

About myvs latests post, I was so glad that for the first time in a long time he seemed completely content and happy. :-)

Otherwise I've been kept busy with the JRef support page, and I also promised Genie to make a picture slide to it ... so I have to go and find out how to do that on MySpace, I think they have an own function for that, shouldn't be difficult though ... :hihi:

you know, that holes are something you could call an "imperfection", something, that disturbs the whole of his skin...and it is a detail you not always notice, because itLs so tiny..and maybe because I am kinda an artist, I have an obsession with little details..

and yep, we all want to have sex with him:okashii:

And it is clear he reads comments, because he responded like that and you won´t die. As I said, he is not so naive as to not know, what fangirls write (and think) about him :D

About the rape thingy, it wasn't "real" and nobody of us would do anything inappropriate RL I'm sure, it was just an expression of our understanding of how hopeless it really is to want him and that we are just human !

I don't think he mind if he thinks about it a little ...

I'm not embarrassed online, I mean, even if he reads this, he doesn't really know me and I've been trough worse, trust me. Nice sigs :-) and this is how to make a MySpace slide, very easy as I said.

Go to your MySpace profile - then to to "My Photos" - then click on "Edit Photos" (on the top right) - then you see 6 blue boxes with text, click on the forth one that says "Create slideshow" from there it should go practically by it self. If there is anything else, just ask

Edit// Oh, I forgot one thing, when you have made the slide and decided which pictures to put in it, you have to copy the code that will appear under the design you choose to use. Then go to you "Profile" and then to "Edit profile" - You can paste it to either to the "About me" section or the "Interests" section (how ever if you choose the Interests you can only put it in the first "General" box there, I don't think the other once allows code. Also think about that depending a bit on what layout you have, the sizing is important ...

Normal version single collection album + poster = 23,70 Euro/ $30,92
Normal version single collection dvd + poster poster = 37,92 Euro / $47,70
Limited version single collection album + dvd + Goods = 79,02 Euro/ $ 101,33

These are the prices of cdjapan :3 I just found out the album and dvd collection got a bonus poster but thats probaly a poster with all the skins of the singles.

I just remembered that its almost a year ago that he brought out a new album. It sucks that he hasn't been bringing something new out the last few months. He is more busier with touring X3

382addict
Feb 22, 2009, 08:49
well he cant do both at the same time. and since a shitload of fans spam his pages with "come to italy, come to germany, come to usa, come to whatever" I guess he tries to please them, so he cant be in the studio (which I personally would prefer)

he's in a state of change at the moment and I wonder how that affects his music. I'm curious.

Crystallize
Feb 22, 2009, 10:21
I don't think he so much influenced by the pleads of the fans to get here or there as much as I think it's him who wants to tour. I think he likes foreign countries, I think he likes to travel and see the world and all different people. :-)

How ever I suppose it comes to a price, he can't do both.
But there will have to be something new soon, I just now it !

olosta
Feb 22, 2009, 18:33
I am really curious about how his new music will be..he tried so many genres, I really can´t imagine what will be next..but I believe, it will be good (Room. Nr. 382 was after all Teddy´s remix, not his original work, s I can´t blame him for not the best thing he ever released..but that s just my personal opinion)
but it looks like we´ll have to wait some time again..now he is going to USA, then to Europe..
He loves travel, he loves to discover new countries and things...you can feel it from his blog entries..he is kinda unusual for a Japanese..i think he is more open minded and less traditional than the most of them

melly_chan
Feb 22, 2009, 18:42
right I think he is very open minded. You can see it on his english efforts. he is very good in it. He tries to communicate with the world. I donLt know it from other japanese artists. He uses english in interviews and animates his japanese fans to learn it aswell... i think he wants to go out in this world. wants to have success everywhere. Maybe thatLs why he changed his label....

olosta
Feb 22, 2009, 18:47
maybe..I think he had at least once or twice conflicts with the society because of this openness of him..plus his wild personality...you can see he is feeling comfortable when traveling in foreign counries..
maybe the PScompany restricted hiim in some way, we´ll never know of course, but he decided to go another way.
The question for me is- how can we, fans, support him and give him know that we stand behind him, no matter what, without being annoying or spamming his myspace/fanmail?

I think the best way to support him is to support just his new music, so he should hurry up with something new. Spamming his myspace is not the right way i think, although I sometimes tell him that I love him too :relief:
Whatever he will do in the future we should support anything he does!
He really needs to feel our support and our love!
He is such a great artist, he will go his way very successfuly^^

This is how I feel also, a few "have a nice weekend/day" or "I'm thinking of you" comments and stuff on his MySpace I think is ok, as long as we try to take it easy and not like every day. Also to answer his blog posts, he wouldn't write them unless he wanted response to them also. The Support site is also a good idea, he doesn't have to go in there if he doesn't want to, but he can if/when he wants to. The same thing goes for this forum, if he wants to read it, he can, but he doesn't have to, nobodies is asking or compelling him to!

I dont think he is too annoyed about the "have a nice day" or "glad to hear youre fine" or blog comments like that every now and then. What I think he got annoyed of were the "come to here, come to there, do this, do that" etc comments. Like Olosta said, its about finding the balance.

We can't consantly send him something. He would be pissed off. Imagine that someone keeps sending you messages, and annoys you all the time, asking you stupid things... I would faint! xD  As Olosta said, we must find the balance. That would be good for him and for the fans. He'd know that we always keep our minds thinking on him and still he wouldn't be pissed off bcuz some stupid people can't understand that they are annoying and a person needs some rest of them... -_-

I'm waiting for something new, too. I think it would be great now when he's not tired of PSC. They maybe made a lot of pressure on him and he didn't want that kind of control...

Ohh... Do I talk a lot? I mean, write? xD

Oh well he doesn't really get pissed off when he gets all those e-mails but it gets him pretty frustrated that he can't go the all those countries of the comments of myspace. Ofcourse I know he can't do both and I respect him very much but I get less interest in artist when I only need to do it with sweet comments with '' I'm ok ''. Ofcourse im a big fan of him but I'm getting more interested in other artist who are releasing something new while there is not much going on around him. Since he is planning on leaving the PS company, I hope he is gonna make us all happy again with a new pretty song

Tokyo girl <3

He will, don't worry. I can't get less interested in some artist if I really like him no metter how unactive he is.

I like myvs for two reasons, the music of course, first, he is a genius with the guitar, very unique sounds and I love his voice !

But also for the person he is, I can't help it but I have a slight "star crush" on him.

It will pass ... but it can take time, even years perhaps !! :p

If he doesn't like it, tough luck for him then, because I can't help it. :souka:

But I don't want to let it go just yet, not before I've seen him live at least

Another thought, maybe he have had troubles with PS company for some time now, maybe that also have contributed to why he haven't produced new material. Maybe he've been so p*ssed at them so he didn't think they deserved another album from him. Maybe they didn't pay him what he wanted, some big companies really are trying to take advantage of big stars and make them work for peanuts so they get the money. Of course, this is just speculations, but there must be some really serious reason why he's leaving them !

LOL, what´ s funny, he is my first serious star crush...in my age!
But he is different from all I have known. And my admiration still isn´t at it´s peak, it rises everyday bit by bit...
if it would be only because of appearance, I would have long ago lost the interest, but the "problem" is, it´s more complex. As you said, crys, it´ s his musical talent, guitar skills, unique voice...and for me, his adventurous and curious personality, passion, courage to discover foreign cultures and willingness to accept them, his openness towards fans, his reflections about relationships with them as well...
oh, I could continue like this for ever and ever..

LOL, whatL s funny, he is my first serious star crush...in my age!
I see, I had my first star crush when I was 14 (and that was a veeeeeeeeeery long time ago), haven't had that many though, a few 3 maybe, serious ones.
I discovered J-Rock this summer and then it was Shou at first that I liked, but not that "very seriously" it was, but it came and went away like a breeze of a wind, but I still think he so cute !
Then I had some other real crushes, on RL asian guys, ok, on the Internet mostly, but still you know guys that I actually talked to and they actually talked to me back !!! But nothing got very serious ... but I'm still in contact with Cross, mostly every day, but as I said before, we are just friends, he have a RL gf and so have Ayu ... Ukyo, well, I don't know, he have too many admirers, he haven't got time or interest for me really, a bit but not really!
I've liked myvs all along, it's been a bit up and down, at first I tried to fight it, then to ignore it, then to reject it, actually, when he was away that long time, I almost got to forget about it, at least to a part.
But now, when he is posting again and when I found he is coming here, it's like peeked 1000% ... I don't even want to think about a RL bf before his been here ... which is so stupid really
By the way, I today I bought such a cool fan to wear as an accessory to the myv concert ! :D

i don't know what to wear yet, but I'll plan something very special, without being too pompous!

He posted some time ago in his oresama blog an entry, where he made a pun, like he is used to. I posted the link to the translation. Read the entry! There he talks about "Fake star" and signes "Miyaharu".
Now, he is talking about the band Kuroyume, with a vocalist "Kiyoharu", which was a 90-ties VK band, and they released an album "Fake star". So he made a pun with the album name and with the name of the vocalist- he joined his name and his own...and the numbers are a date, Kiyoharu probably had a live in Japan after a long time...and made Miyavi nostalgic...
I posted links to the pics of Kuroyume and "Fake star" album
and you can guess why he is saying "real Fake Star"....Kiyoharu is his "sempai"

this is Kiyoharu:
http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s177/erlallosta/file0008yc0.jpg

but here is the wiki link with some info..they write there, Kuroyume inpacted a lot late VK bands..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuroyume

I liked the Kuroyume songs, not bad, even if I've never heard of them before.

yes, I've kind of gotten that there is a bond between Sugizo and myvs, not gotten really what it would be though, there is no obvious connection besides the 'Guitar Battle Mixx', their styles are about 100% apart. But lets say like this, it's not the first time I've heard it. How ever this is actually something I'd like some further information about, if there would be something more about it.

olosta
Feb 23, 2009, 17:22
I don´t know anything more about it..of course, Miyavi is now playing acoustig guitar, so his style is different, but when you hear him playing in Due le quartz his electric guitar, you can recognize the influence...which is only natural, the boy had learned playing the electric guitar only since 14 or 15, and with 18 he already played at a concert...and Luna Sea was popular back then, and Sugizo IS a great guitarist...so it´ s normal, that he influenced a lot of people.
It´ s just my opinion, but guitars sound really different from band to band. Gazette for example has a totally different guitar playing: the sound is more clear, more straightforward (well at least Aoi´s guitar, Uruha likes to make noises and rumble)
The guitar Sugizo and (Miyavi) played, sounds more...I don´t know how to describe it, it makes more sounds and squeaking. As if they tried what kind of sounds it is able to make. And playing around with the melody, rhythm and so on.. swaying from the main theme just to pick it up later..I don´t play the guitar, so I can´t use the proper terminology (I only play piano :()
But try to listen to Sugizo (or Miyabi in Due) and then to any other current VK band, you will hear the difference.
Well, and I love Sugizo´s and Miyavis (electric) guitar, so I am sad a little, he doesn´t play it anymore (or a least not so much). Of course, I like how he plays the acoustic guitar, but I miss the electric..

Japanese culture ------ Ayumi Hamasaki ----- Anime magazine ------ Miyavi

I saw something of him in a anime magazine and first I thought was that he was pretty weird because it was my first VK sort of thing ever. Then I looked on youtube I was completly in love with a fanvideo of Oresama with the song Ashita genki ni nare. I still love that song <3

Good question, olosta.

Since you are a very curious person, you can probably understand my point of view.

I am a very curious person myself.

Mostly comment in the Serious Discussion part of Jref or in other similarly "serious" Threads around here, so, for one, I don't see many women around those parts.

One day, I saw a post by a woman in a serious Thread (SHOCK!) and she had something about Miyavi written. So, I googled Miyavi a bit, then had a brief look at the Forum Index of Jref and saw that incidentally the "Miyavi" Thread had the latest post in this section of the forum at the time.

So, I had a brief look at it and started off with a stupid question.

Yeah, I Jrock/Miyavi/Gackt/All that stuff I don't find appealing, though, I am interested in the mindset and thoughts of fangirls.

Even though I know many women and am friends with a great deal of them, I know very little fangirls.

As such, I asked you guys, since you obviously are fangirls.

I find it interesting. :)

If my questions do however get on your nerves and I am not welcome in this Thread anymore, I have no problem with leaving.

I do believe that seeing men around these parts of the forum is as rare as seeing women around the serious parts of the forum, so it might be interesting, I wouldn't know.

Cheers

well, i won´t comment you shock of seeing a woman in the "serious" part of JREF forum...but of course, you can ask questions about fandom, we will gladly respond. But then again, we here aren´t typical fangirls, because most of us here are well over 20 and the rest are smart girls...
and yeah, having a guy here is a surprise for us...

and for the seriousnes of this thread..maybe it doesn´t look like it, but we are pretty serious. Miyavi is a unique artist with deep and many-sided personality, who is concerned about the world around him...he is different..he is like a book to study, but a book with many pages with a cipher script and you have to think carefully to understand him..
and I believe the girls will agree, that with our interest in Jrock scene widened our knowledge of japan, because it had awaken in us (at least in me) a fascination with a culture so different an ambiguous as japanese society..and not just the past, or the "serious" problems, but in everyday life, in pop phenomena etc. etc.
A net complicated as everything in this world is building up..

gosh so much to catch up on... *sigh* anyway i must say that Kiyoharu was actually my first jrock crush <3 lulz
and then lets see... well, i started out with manga, never was big on anime, to be honest... before that i was your typical nerd, playing Diablo II 24/7 and reading fantasy books... (thereby crush on Orlando Bloom through the LOTR movies...) but then one day I picked up a copy of Yamatonadeshiko Shichihenge and well, she was talking about Kiyoharu and Miyavi in the back, so i was like, kk i'll check it out it sounds cool... and i wasnt really into it at first but then i stumbled on the band Duel Jewel... and well... after a while i grew to love Miyavi but i didnt like him at first cuz i saw Shindemo Boogie Woogie first, and figured him to be a wannabe rapper -_-" japanese 50Cent, kill me please, y'know?
anyway so it then went like this...
Kiyoharu ------> Duel Jewel ----> Dir en grey -----> Miyavi ------> X Japan ------> Gackt -------> current obsession with most of this stuff...

but to answer your question, Remixer, yeah, I'm a goth, cuz i fit the standard description given by Voltaire (the modern day one, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voltaire_(musician) ) in his books... and i love the Lolita stuff, always did. But I must say, I like the due version better than his solo cover...because there he played electric guitar, and he played it incredibly..I always have tears in my eyes, when I hear it..it must have been really painful, what happened to him and you can feel his sorrow and sadness in that song

and I like Girls, be ambitious...the girl is pretty, but HE is sooo cute there!

screw me sideways, I really like that remix album!

Do you know where I can download it?

Cheers if you know. :)

molestthyguitarists,

cheers for the tips. :)

I listened to both, but Girls, be ambitious isn't really up my alley.

The "What a Wonderful World" one.... I don't know what to say.... got a rocker, a rapper and DJ in it....

The whole song was too pretentious and happy-go-lucky for me, to be honest. :)

yeah... but to be honest i didnt like his forays into hiphop as much as i liked galyuu and gagaku... cuz at the end of the day i need something sweet to headbang to... if i have any unaltered brain cells left in my head by the time i'm meevsie's age, well... it'll be a miracle of the highest sort... XD

but to me, anyway, subarashiki kana kono sekai was kind of like he was trying to say that the world didnt really bother him, all of these people screaming his name, etc, and lets face it, while we are serious about miyavi's music there are plenty of people who just like one song and are still all obsessed with him but the moment he comes out with something not quite to their liking, theyre outta there... or the fans who stabbed his girlfriend... *which makes the knife lyrics in girls be ambitious quite ironic doesnt it???* i wish i could believe that he really is happy go lucky, but to me it seems as if he wrote the song to cheer himself up and keep himself going, not because he was cheerful or whatnot.
hey, he's human. he can feel like **** sometimes too. he can feel like a failure too. knowing that makes me feel better cuz i know hes only human like the rest, not like, an unapproachable god *tho in some ways he is*

hmm... well, this is a somewhat more recent meever PV thats more to my liking... gotta dig the intro...

i guess we could stick it in an auto-translator but those always mess it up...

btw i liked the due'le quartz version of requiem better too, but only cuz miyavi sounds like HE's the one who's dying, and oh, by the way, he's a cat. -_-" not very good vocals at all, but i really like his voice normally... theres this sweet, gentle something to it...

Feb 24, 2009, 05:56
the expression, singing like a dying cat??? yeah, some parts of his version of requiem were like that. there is no denying the emotion within his singing, i will not diss that, but it sounded harsh and angry not bittersweet and mourning.... er yeah im not good at explaining things...

girls, how did you go into VK scene?

For me it's was completely different. It began at Taggeds, I thought I'd should add some Japanese people to my friends list just and search for them. I found a Shou "support page" I suppose you can say. (actually I had no idea he was famous at first *lol*) but you live and you learn, I thought he was gorgeous and did a quick search on him, found Alice Nine, other groups and VK + J-rock.

I have seen almost all episodes of "Death note" by all means, Specially liked the first 15 episodes or so best, it got kind of tiresome and all the same in the end.
I'm not much for Naruto though .. :sorry:

Meowness.... hahahah..... remixer... It's a very fascinating subject, fangirlism. I find the relationship between artistes or idols and fans very very appealing. In fact, I think this type of relationship is very influencial in this world. Just that it isn't given that much awknowledgement as a kind of interaction.

Oh yea.... I found one great formula!!!!!! If ya wanna wake up all happy and pink-faced, fangirl before you sleep!!! Hmmm... since you're not a girl, well, maybe you could fanboy. What a term, fanboy, hmmm.... hahahahaha.... but seriously, fangirling before going to bed helps. Relieves stress, unnecessary stress. Meow......

HEY!!! Miyavi's decade interview... think you guys have seen it but just in case.....

http://musicjapanplus.jp/specialfeatures /?action=detailsf_id=120

OH yea.... remixer, hahhaha... well fangirling isn't just limited to visual kei. I fangirl at the more conventional pop artistes as well. Arashi and DongBangShinKi. However, it's something very different and refreshing to what the old days were with western bands like Westlife.

With Arashi, I somehow... learned many things. I don't look at them as "humans I fantasise marrying" or whatever. It's more like, they're part of my life. I respect them as humans and as people. Really look up to them and I want to make them proud to have a fan like me. It's something like that. hahahha..... With DongBangShinKi, it's more straighforward, they're goodlooking (hot) guys with good grooves and tunes so I let out the bad memories by seriously screaming "KYAAAAAAA!!!!!!!" at their performances. It's very nice ya know. Not to be a hypocrite and just say "GOD, he's so HOT!!!" out. Cause the other fans accompany me in my temporary insanity.

Miyavi's a new breath. more like a new pool of cool water for me to wade in. I really got touched with some of his songs, find him extremely captivating, hahahhahah.... I mean, the things he does and the stuff he thinks up, it's very err.... there's some connection. hahaha... At the end of the day, I define fangirlism as activities of fans that stick to those they love for honest reasons and stay sincere regardless of ups and downs. Oh yea, and the occasional "KYAAAAAAAA!" hahahahah......

It goes a long way, when you see people who can't figure out a tease of a sentence, but you did make me laugh with your attitude.

Well done. :)

On another note, no, it really doesn't show manliness and bravery when a guy walks around dressed as a woman and make-up on his face.

@Remixer ... something you could do since you do hang around here. You shoul join our JRef support site if you got a MySpace account (link under my sig) ... just to be on the safe side :-)

We only need two more members to have 40 members now, well, it's not growing that fast, but then again, we are a smal group here at JRef also ...

So even if we have members outside JRef, a few private persons, and then the other Miyavi fan sites and also some other bands (though I never send friend request to other bands from our site). I'll always prioritize those that are original members from here, there after private persons, then after other miyavi fan pages, last the other artists/groups!

haha like miyavi said... just dont decide everything by our appearance.
i never thought i'd be like this either... but now i AM like this, and not just for miyavi-kun. there's X and hide-sama too :-) and i am quite big on Gackt... its just that, well... Miyavi makes it so easy for us to like him. Its kinda hard to be a hide fangirl these days cuz unfortunately he accidentally killed himself when i was 7 years old, and Gackt posts all his blogs on Myspace in japanese...
well, i like Dir en grey too. but i went along listening to all their music while only knowing Kyo's name, i didnt know any of the other ones and its only recently that i am able to differentiate die and kaoru... T-T sad but true. i really couldnt care less about the history of an artist and whether or not they like chocolate cake and chicken cuz it has no bearing on their music.... but well, Miyavi... i kinda cared all of a sudden. i guess it was reading his blog that really made me like him.
in short, im not really a comiyavi cuz of his looks. (though his looks are very nice) im a comiyavi cuz i love his music and i love the message behind it. Dont be afraid to be yourself, dont be afraid to do your own kind of thing. Be unique. Be true to your own mind. Dont follow the hive mind. Dont be afraid to speak your mind even if no one is going to agree with you. Dont be afraid to stand up alone. Dont be afraid. Its easier to just give up, but why would you want to?? If you embrace life's gloominess, you won't enjoy yourself. Even though there are idiots in the world, and there are people with a lot more talent or skill than ourselves out there, we have to work hard to be the best kind of people we can be....
so you see, its that kind of life.

as for gackt's jesus... im not sure its your cuppa hot chocolate, but definitely mine :-) luv that guy... i just wanna hug him and cook for him... (oddly enough a lot of jrockers make me feel that way... like Kyo and Miyavi... sigh i'd bake my best chocolate cake for Meevers)
Bnb_hMlvJ7c

i liked Storm, Ash, Sayonara... Sayonara was the first one I'd heard. Oh, and be careful wat you click on. If you see "Gackt Vanilla Live Sub"... well, if you are not used to such things it can be quite... startling...

I'll probably never get married, if I would have I'm probably would have by now and I have only been engaged once, many years ago ...

Well, I'm not "old old" but it just feels that way sometimes, I'm so extremely picky and I lack any concept on compromise in my taste so to speak ...
Maybe I'm thinking of importing an Asian "toy boy" from Malaysia or Singapore or something (after the myvs concert)
I mean, I could, some of them would probably give their left hand to get here where I live.

but ha ha, I'm sure you'll also find someone that you don't want to rather die than commit with, but you are right in a way, it's not easy ... it's never easy !

I'm also such a nerd. I haven't been with a guy that I haven't met initially through Internet for over well, for ever ... but ok, sometimes you get lucky, they might live close enough to meet. How ever it doesn't mean it'll work anyways, sometimes it can be hard to take the step to RL from Internet and keep the attraction ...

No of course not, it wouldn't last, we can be "friends" online, but nothing more. If he's interested, he would have to come here, permanently ...

I don't do long distance if I don't think the guy wouldn't want to come here to stay, eventually, which is the least of the problems since most of them would love to move here.

They are very poor in Malaysia and Singapore, and Sweden is one of the richest countries in the world.

In Malaysia (also Japan for that matter) they work 12h per day/6 days per week. Here you work at most 8h per day/5days per week, (I personally only work 4h per day/5 days a week, and going great on just that) we have 25 days paid vacation every year, almost free medical care etc. It would be a promised land for them really and I can understand why so many of them would do almost anything to get here !
