Why do you always set your myspace profiles to private? Also, I think you should listen to the poster about the personal information thing. I know you don't think you're giving personal information away on the internet easily, but by doing a quick search I'm pretty sure I know your full name, your city and state, what hospital you were born in, what sign you are, all types of stuff, I'd say just be careful because it seems like you're giving away a lot of information on different websites and such although you're not meaning to.

Anyways, The reason people are saying let's stop "arguing" and drop this crap is because it's so incredibly unbelievable and there's absolutely no way to prove it, therefore there's no point in having this conversation anymore. So are you saying you weren't born on 04/18/91 and that you aren't part of like a million anime and otaku message boards/clubs/whatever you want to call them online that lists all your information? Because everything I see with your e-mail online has the name Katie with it, along with your birthday, your two middle names, and your last name. A few things also state about you getting straight A's and being a young author (kind of goes with the you being famous in your town for being smart thing) seems like you have a lot more information online that you like to admit to. With that said, I do think his voice is improving a lot. Even if I don't care so much for his new songs (they just aren't my style). I do think his guitar skills are impeccable, though.

Yeah, I agree. He is sounding better, and his guitar skills will always be outstanding. I seriously think he just bangs around on it like he is playing slap bass haha. I have never sat down with my guitar and tried to even play Miyavi's style. Perhaps I shall try, and see what I come up with haha.

My favorite song is currently Kekkonshita no Uta. My favorite video is Jibun Kakeme 2003, I just love how he goes psycho and starts smashing everything. I am currently eagerly waiting to see his new PV "Senor Senora Senorita" I check YouTube everyday to see if someone uploaded it yet.

I agree with Poison, Papa Mama is one of the best songs ever! I love that song, and it's definitely my favorite Miyavi song. From album to album he is improving a lot as a musician and ESPECIALLY as a vocalist, and I love that about Miyavi. I have to say though, that are you ready to ROCK? is my second favorite Miyavi song, even though the vocals are, um, interesting in that song, haha.

I'd have to say Kekkonshiki no Uta is one of my favourites. The lyrics of that song makes me laugh and cry at the same time because they're soo touching and happy and .. good! :-) However, I always loved Tome to Juri... Something about that song, it's beautiful. And off course, the whole MIyavizm album is really good.. .actually my favourite album by him.. I think... except a few other songs that are.. good.. OH, I can't choose one or two or three.. *explodes*

I have to tell you something wierd.
Some time ago a spent the weekend at my friends house and she found her old Jenga and I went crazy with it and I was jenga crazy for like a week.
And only some days after Miyavi did the Jenga photoshoot and everybody thought it was weird.

And now I have a break from my pottery class and I really miss my friends there and I've been thinking about it a lot and Miyavi does this photoshoot.

I love Miyavi's looks, and like it even more when he was in Due le quartz, but I'm not much of a follower of his music.. he's more into guitar than into lead voice.. Anyway, just wanted to know something: Is it me, or he does look a bit like Gackt when he was young??

And then the second song I heard was Ashita "Genki" ni Naare (it was really poppy) So...as you can imagine I was in love with Miyavi the first time I heard him lol. Not to mention it was the first Japenese rock I had ever heard!!

And the first video I had ever saw of Miyavi was him slappin on his guitar playing Are you Ready to Rock...so yeah ^_^

And I knew he was a guys b/c I first heard about him on deviant art, and had I not of known that...I swear I would've thought he was a girl!!!! @_@

"Are You Ready To Rock?" has got to be one of the funniest Engrish ever! :lol:. The first song I heard was Night In Girl because that was what the MYV fansite I went to was named after. I figured it had to be somewhat good.

Miyavi definately took some time to get into. I like his later songs because his voice is improving.

His guitar skills are wicked too. No doubt about that.

I agree that his early songs weren't good. All I could hear was digital crap and him making noises. Night in Girl was ok... After a while it grows on you. My first impression of that song wasn't good either but put it on repeat and you find youself humming to it.

I can understand that some people like his earlier songs because they were harder, but for example, in Oresama Shikou I can't even hear him 95% of the time. :okashii:

I've said this before but I really do think his singing is improving so even though his new songs may be considered more 'popish' at least I can appreciate his voice.

I don't think Miyavi has a childish voice, to me it is a very rough voice, and is very sexy. I also think that the roughness is his Kansai accent, because he doesn't speak using standard Japanese. The Standard Japanese dialect when compared to a Kansai dialect is actually very different. Also as far as Miyavi goes, his newer stuff is easier for a person new to Miyavi, because if they pick up his old stuff first they might be like wtf? Thats how I was the first album I heard was his Galryuu album. And I didn't like it the first listen. Now I LOVE IT.

Yeah, I agree with you there Nana, going backwards on Miyavi songs is the easier way. Before I couldn't stand his first two albums but now I enjoy them quite a bit depending on my mood.

Agree -I think they have similar mimicry and sometimes same way of moving. Sometimes I think it seems as if MYV and Hide both have the same sort of (childish)energetic-character.

To be honest, I knew who Miyavi is, and that he was a part of Due le Quartz, but I never listened to anything of his. So I decided to today.

Found a bunch of his vids on YouTube. He's definitely interesting. Reminds me of Gackt in some ways, and Kyo in others. A bit crazy, but cute. Anywho, I guess if you have any recommendations, I'll be happy to listen to them.

Jent you should try http://geocities.yahoo.com.br/jrocknosekai_al/. You can find a lot of his stuff there including pvs. :-) I recomend you to download Gagaku and his latest two singles. Ofcourse Miyavizm is not that bad, but i kind of don't like it very much.

That PV was great! I love oddly-mustached Miyavi, haha. The PV was almost serious, but everytime you look at Miyavi you can't help but smile and remember how silly/cute he is. I didn't really care for this song at first, but now it's growing on me ... a lot, it's so freaking catchy!

With nothing to attain, Bodhisattvas relying on Prajnaparamita
have no obstructions in their minds.
Having no obstructions, there is no fear
and departing far from confusion and imaginings,
they reach Ultimate Nirvana.
All past, present and future Buddhas,
relying on Prajnaparamita, attain Anuttara-Samyak-Sambodhi.
Therefore, know that Prajnaparamita
is the great mantra of power,
the great mantra of wisdom, the supreme mantra,
the unequalled mantra,
which is able to remove all sufferings.
It is real and not false.
Therefore recite the mantra of Prajnaparamita:

yeah, Kinokuniya has a lot of stuff. sadly, they don't have one of their locations where we live, only in LA and San Francisco. :( at least it comes once a year to Comicon, but...oh well. :( they still have a website, so...i suppose it's not so bad. i just am sad because i like sitting in there for hours, reading every rock magazine i can get my hands on. :D although it's not really "reading", i guess...:D more like...looking at pictures and dying. i like playing games with myself, like flipping through and counting how many bands i can name without hesitating. :D
