@miyavi_lover - we still can't say that it is 100% true, but it does seem to be. Don't rely too much on my translation (I can't speak nor read Japanese). Until we can find someone to translate it, or until Miyavi translates it himself, we won't know exactly what is meant in the blog. I could still be wrong. Other translations made no sense but had the word "lie" in them. So perhaps he is calling these rumours lies, we just don't know until it is translated properly by a Japanese speaker.:?

I don't know where all the translators are. I wish someone would just translate it, or at least let us know if my translation was along the right lines. I had to warn everyone that it might be wrong, or I'd get blamed if it said the complete opposite. heheeheh.

Just my two cents:

I believe it's a custom/tradition in Japan for a man whom impregnated a woman to marry her.

So, when I read his "it is more than anything against my will", I would guess he got his woman pregnant and was forced to marry her as a consequence.

A marriage he was forced into out of obligation might also explain those negative moods of his you guys talked bout earlier. ( I don't know about them since I don't give a crap about Miyyavi :) )

EDIT: Letting my imagination run wild a bit more, it may also be because of family pressure or an innate sense of duty as a future father to go from an active role in the music scene to an inactive one by creating his own company, where he cannot be put on a tight schedule and can spend more time with his wife and child, who knows?

I realize this is a really difficult time for y’all and y’all aren’t sure of which way Miyavi will go with his music, and his appearance, and possibly, y’all don’t know what to do during these events, especially with this time until the fifth, until he announces it formally. y’all may be uncertain of how to best support Miyavi during this time. Y’all may be catatonic with happiness; y’all may be sad, disappointed… maybe you even feel betayed.
However, remember. This is a difficult time for Miyavi too. He has given us so much of himself and w have all grown so close with him – perhaps too close. And now here he is, ready to lose everything for this Melody girl. I’d say that this is a pretty significant sign that maybe, y’know, he loves her or something. Some of us are happy about this. Some are not. And I am remembering what had happened to his ex girlfriend. And to Gackt’s wife. Many of you will think, what, I would never do such a thing. But as history has shown, there are people out there who would, that not all the world is so nice and civilized, otherwise those events would never have taken place. Yet Miyavi and Melody have wed despite those fears – perhaps because they are hoping that their fans will support them and give them strength during this difficult time.
What I am saying, fellow comiyavi, is this; however you may feel about their union, as comiyavi it is our duty to support Miyavi during this time, regardless of whether we approve or not. It doesn't really matter if the person using a condom is intelligent or completely off-the-hook stupid.

Condoms don't guarantee prevention from impregnation. They have a 98% chance, which isn't much if you know how many times there's sex in a relationship and you used a condom every time.

Pulling out also doesn't guarantee nothing.

Also, unwanted pregnancies even though condoms were used, happen every day.

Well yea I think its worrying...well not exactly worrying but I think it's disappointing for him. I have always supported Miyavi quietly, because I am shy and my english is very very bad. That is why I have read posts on Jref forum for a long time, but I never had a courage to write anything.

But now, I feel like it is time to write this:

No, I am not jealous so dont get me wrong, I mean it honestly.
I want him to be happy, I dont have any stupid dreams, like I can be with him or so. I know that he always wanted to have family and I have expected him to get married someday.But I was very sad,when I discovered, that he picked out melody. She seems to be so empty and boring (I tried to give her a chance, believe me, I have watched/read all the interviews I was able to find and became more disappointed) I hoped,that he will marry interesting, little bit crazy, intelligent and creative woman! Simply a person, which will match his temperament.

Thats why I feel so sorry for him right now. But I really really hope that I am wrong and she is not so superficial and they will be happy together...but I dont believe in it or in him anymore. He throw away everything, what he achieved ... his friends, his company, his manager who supported him for 10 years, even his piercings - memento on due le quartz for this woman, to look more like an adult. And what is the worst, his music is getting closer and closer to pop. I think, that she has not a good influence at him. The last album with remixes is flop. I think like he is falling star right now.

Sorry, it was hard for me to write something like that here, you can be angry at me, actually i am angry at myself T_T. On Myv's change: I don't think Miy's "fading" he's just growing up. He was a teen when he first got into music. He's nearly 30 now. There's suppose to be some growth. He's human. Personally, I never thought he was bouncing off the walls 24/7 to begin with.

On Melody's personality(or lack thereof): opposites attract. If miyavi's silly, funny, goofy maybe he wants someone that's gonna laugh at him his jokes instead of being silly, funny, goofy too.

On the remix album: That's not really an indicator of anything. Remake albums never do as well as a new studio album. I think this was just PSC trying to make money off him before he's gone or it could have been released to fulfill his contract with them.

I think the way some of miyavi's fans have been behaving is really shameful on them. It seems like, if you really are someone that supports him it won't matter if he marries or not, has children or not, or even something little like changes his appearance. Miyavi is CONSTANTLY changing his style. He has from the moment he first started on his own path, and he's going to continue to evolve as he *gasp* grows up. Yes that's right, GROWS UP. Just like EVERYONE HERE, we all grow up eventually. Some of us are going to be really lucky and get to do things we love and be at least a little childish for the rest of our lives. But we grow up just the same. It is our priviledge to grow up, to become adults that we can be proud of. We will all make mistakes, will all have unexpected things happen, but the difference between childhood and adulthood is how we react to those unexpected things.

The reactions I've been reading about are making me so angry. I am seeing a lot of supportive fans and THAT makes me happy, because it will make miyavi happy. But I'm also seeing temper tantrums. And those FEW people are making me feel so sorry for miyavi. We are GIFTED with so much of his presence in our lives. No, we don't get personalized email responses. No, we don't get to just call him whenever we want and talk about all our problems. No, we don't get to go for dinner or go to a party together. But we get to read his blog, where he always talks to us like PEOPLE that he CARES about. We get to email him, send messages to him through myspace. When we send him encouraging messages he RESPONDS to that in his blog. And when we send him angry, hurt, confused messages, he responds to those too. I don't understand how people can be so ungrateful for what we are given. He doesn't have to do anything for us. He doesn't have to write about his day or take photos of the things around him (or himself). He doesn't have to worry about what we think or how we're feeling. He certainly doesn't have to read ANY of his fanmail. But he does. For us, to be a part of our lives, even just a little bit.

He has given us so much of himself. Isn't it okay for him to take something for himself? Maybe he "should" have told us. Maybe he would have if he could have. North America is used to seeing celebrity relationshp news blasted across the front pages of countless tabloids; screaming at us from visually shocking locations. It's different in Japan. Celebrities can lose countless fans by dating or marrying, as if it is some 'betrayal' for them to be in love. We all want to be loved, don't we? Are we so selfish that we would really demand that he love no one else even if it made him miserable? Are we so selfish that we would deny him something he wants so much? Just because he abided the rules of his contract and kept his relationship a secret until now? More than anything else in this world I believe Miyavi wants to make music. More than anything else. Is it really so bad for him to also want someone he can share everything with? Someone who knows ALL his secrets? Who understands the world he lives in?

I support miyavi.

I support whatever relationship he chooses to have.

I support his music.

I support his life.

Some people will probably think "she talks so high and mighty but she was probably just crushed like the rest of us and is trying to cover it up by beign cool." I am not going to lie to anyone. When I first saw it I was shocked, hurt, it was like a boyfriend had cheated on me! But I know that feeling for what it is; infatuation, obsession, a crush. It's not real. It's not love. It's lust, desire, jealousy. I decided to put that aside, because there is no reason for it. And under that was a feeling of real love. I want, more than anything, more than him continuing to make music, for miyavi to be happy. I want him to have the best possible life he can. And I believe very strongly that the only person who can make the decisions to achieve that is miyavi. If this is his path, and if it will make him happy, then I will put my idle day-dreams away and tell my "Japanese big-brother" congratulations with a heart-felt smile.

I guess it all comes down to one question though;

Why do YOU love miyavi? The REAL reason. Music? Appearance? Lust?

I know what my answer is.


And miyavi knows some of love him enough to wait patiently, and trustingly.

@ahiru: I think it's really disappointing that people already judge melody. Yeah maybe you have seen her in videos, interviews and else... but do you know how she is when the cameras are off? If that doesn't speak to the fact that he has some feelings for you all, I don't know what does. You guys may not be his wife but it's obvious he cares, b/c if it were me in this situation I couldn't say I'd give as much of a sh-t to let it bother me to this degree. I'd be off somewhere enjoying my new wife and future kid.

This reaffirms to me how much of a good & caring person he really is and why we ALL should be happy that such a beautiful soul is being rewarded. Yeah, I think we take for granted that Miyavi tries to speak english. Even then he doesn't think he's very good at it. I heard that some members of DEG can hold small convos, but I don't think any of the people mentioned would be comfortable enough to hold long conversations.

Olosta I never said that the world was a happy place. I too know that he has to take the consequences of what he is doing/did. So he had to leave PSC, but on the other hand: marriages are not the only thing PSC forbids. There are alot of constraints for the artists there. So why not seeing the building of his own company as a new abilty to make things better? Why not see it as a great chance for him to change things? Of course he struggles but who in life doesnt? The only thing that is pissing me off so much, is that people dont know anything yet for sure and already tell that he HAD to marry her because he knocked her up.

And we, as fans, can only help him through this hard time with supporting him and being there for him, nothing else. And once this war is over and people get used to it, he'll be also happier. Once his company is built he can continue making music, being a father and husband (if its true)

Well Meever Beaver's April Fool's day "joke" wasn't too funny, but I guess he's too stressed to think of a real joke. But I agree with most that there are probably underlying feelings coming through what he said. It's likely that these feelings are aimed at those who have been horrible and unsupportive of him. At least he speaks his mind, I suppose. I know it's not aimed at me, so I don't really care. I didn't know that April Fool's was something that other cultures would understand. Learn something new everyday. :)

You know... I don't even care what he says on the 5th anymore. I'm quite bored of it now. I've exhausted my curiosity in this topic. I was crazy-interested at first, but not now. The supposed to be joke here? He said he HATES his fans....well...as the human being that he is, maybe he does hates his fans? (not all though, i should like to think) amidst all the "hate-mail" and disappointed fanmails he might have gotten coz of the whole miyavi-melody wedding. He followed it up with April Fool's Day to say that...erm....he is just joking around and doesn't hate us all. (stirring again with the feelings of the komiyavi eh?)

no one is oing to blame you for your oppinion (at least not me)...and I say, I won´t stop to listen to the music I have from him, because I like his songs, I like his lyrics (even if they are not sincere, they are good) and I still think he is one of the most unique artist Japan ever had...
and it is partially my fault for thinking I could know him, so maybe I am a real fool.
But only as a musician ( and depends on, if I will support him in the future, of the music he makes).

When I first heard Miyavi's stuff and especially when I first watched Oresama, I thought he was the most arrogant person I had ever seen. I still think he is quite arrogant. At the end of the day, the only reason he keeps his fans happy is because it's his fans that buy the live tickets and the albums, and fill his pockets.

But personally... I havnt "bought" anything from him. I "obtained" all his music. So he owes me nothing. He can be an arrogant, selfish jerk (and he will be!!)... I'm just going to listen to his music and enjoy it for what it is.

And I don't know who thinks you are an idiot, but I don't think anybody on here is an idiot. Everybody has their own opinions and they are all entitled to them.

He doesnt hates his fans, but he thinks, that he can hurt their feelings and they will just think... Oh how funny... stupid fangirls are like that - everything, what their idol do is cool, so he can offend them like he wants. It is sad, that he thinks, that all his fans are so stupid.
Personally, I used to consider myself as Miyavis fan, and it offend me, that he thinks I am stupid. It is humiliating. And I have given him my time, admiration, and trust... if it means nothing, so he owes me nothing.

To be honest. I'm sick of it/him. Not of his music, not of the person himself. I dont care what he thinks about his fans. If he doesnt like some of them, I cant blame him, I dont like most of them either because some behave like selfish, stupid fangirls. Others are great, whatever. I'm just sick of the whole thing. Of talking about his marriage, if he likes his fans or not, what he thinks, what he feels...and all this. If he hooked melody up, if he loves her, if he was forced to marry her or not...I dont give a s.h.i.t. anymore because talking about all this over and over and over again is exhausting and boring.

So I dont post as often anymore. I still love him. No matter what (because it really doesnt bother me if he is an arrogant selfish idiot, which he sometimes has to be or if he's that caring guy, if he loves his fans or not...what-ever!) I still like his music, but I'm tired of all this and I dont care anymore either what he has to say on April 5th.
