I know many Asian people are very much into "their own kind" but ok, nowadays you hear that many "female" Asians are marring western (tho not only American) men to move "off broad" and I guess that is true too and if I could guess, that is what he has against Americans, I don't think he hates the US people as such ...

but I doubt they will pronounce it like that. It is the meaning of the kanjis in the name. The pronunciation will be probably aika, or something like that.

Hey, get serious, if there is one letter they can't pronounce, then it's "R" ... they say "L" instead, this I have experienced first hand once and got it all wrong and it was highly embarrassing *lols*

But if they can't say "R" and not "L" and not "T" (at least Shou in A9 can't ) hm, they must have it hard, but they capitol city is named Tokyo so they must be able to say it, at least sometimes ... actually, I have a hard time understanding pronouncement problems as it's so way beyond me ... :p

I'm also disappointed that mivs was so willing to go the extra mile to get his child "American born" like that would do so much difference for her as a person ...

Well, maybe it will give her freedom to move anywhere she likes when older, but honestly, not to get to political about this, but I think those kind of difficulties would have to be resolved inside the countries borders, not trying to avoid them and run away from them with "tricks" ...

@crystalize? jap pronountioation isn´t complicated at all, I won´t do a big explanation here, but for the "r" and "l" sound: the thing is, they have only one symbol for the two sounds, so some of them pronounce it like R and some lik L, they don´t differentiate. People from Kansai (Osaka and so on), as is miyavi from, maybe you noticed, he most of the time pronounces L. But other dialects pronounce R, so it depends.
to the T: they can´t say only "ti" and "tu" (thy have only "chi" nd "tsu"), but "ta", "te" and "to" is ok. Same for "si" - they pronounce it like "shi"

and really, id doesn´t concern only Miyavi, but you can´t believe a word from a japanese. They act it. Crys, you were septic at first, but you forgot is somehow. But now I know- they say just what is convenient to them (once more, it doens´t concern only miyavi, but others as well). we don´t know anything about them, Anything.
But, it doesn´t prohibit ust o be fangirls, does it? :D

Ok, very true, they say what is convenient and what gains them the most, and that is really sad ... I thought so all along ... I guess u haven't forgotten my old a bit sarcastic comments from before about things like that *lols* even before this marriage thing hit us all !

well, you can't say he would never do such a thing. It is not as common as with european or american stars, but in Japan as well some VK artist had had problems with drugs...so generally, he could do it.
I personally think he didn't, but he could have.

Well, I can't say I know 100%, because we don' t know anything 100%, but I saw the video and indeed, if you want to hear there "cocaine" you will hear that there. But I read a lot about it, though only comments, true, but more poeple were of the opinion someone wrongly understood what he said there.
once again, there were some drug issues in VK, but it was found out- f.e. Daishi of PLC was arrested because some drug (don' t remember which though) and it has been quite an affair...
I don't think if MYV was on coke he would do so much as he did- it affects you life, and the more I don' t believe about the fairytale Melody, whom he fell in love to and who saved MYV from drugs, loneliness and unfulfilled desired to be a father.
I don't exclude he was on some other drug tho...but...not that it would matter now. If he could stop smoking, he could have stopped do the drugs too, if he ever did some.

Ok, so I guess, that was it!
But it waz awesome, actually I didn't expect it to be, I didn't think it would be "anything" really, but it was.
Miayvi was awesome, really rocking our butts out, and he was so beautiful, just like in the pictures.
I thought also perhaps that he wasn't going to get in contact with the audience any particularity, but he did.
It was all a very real moment, he was really there, and he said so too, that "I'm here now!"
He also talked about his strugle of when becoming independent from PSC and he was glad that he managed to keep going as an artist and that he would never give it up etc.
And now I'm not going too much into when he took his shirt off and danced climbing to the stage light rigging XD ... (I almost got an heart attack *roflmao* )
Sorry, no good pictures, cellphones wasn't allowed, they even threatened that if they saw anyone taking pixx they had the right to take a way your cell and also that you weren't going to be allowed to see the rest of the show.

so, I was in Wien to Miyvi concert. This time he didn´t fain after Are your ready to rock, instead made something more useful and came to us fans. I was in the first row, under the mic, so I had a perfect view. SO everyone touched him, so I touched him as well. And yes, he is as pretty as in pictures.
But..his techical equipment sucked, the security guards was a bunch of trolls and brutes and he went halfplayback....
but, it was a goood show. not the best one, but good.
And he has a damn pretty support guitarist...

In Hungary he had quite long speech:-)
I think some girl in front fainted and guards had to pull her over the fence... he asked her if she's okay and to give her some water... and then asked us to move back a little " I know you love me, but you also need air" or something along these lines. Then he rambled about sharing water... and sharing love, being one family; also talked about how amazing is that he's dad now, he looked so proud! *awww*

During the concert he went off stage and to front row few times, but unfortunatelly I was nowhere close :( But you knew he's there, cos people moved in a second, hehe. He definitely knows how to work the crowd <3

Overall, the concert was amaaaazing, seeing him live is just... *loss of words* I couldn't believe he looks so gorgeous <3 Totally worth 9 hour ride to Budapest and 9 back home!

I think some girl in front fainted and guards had to pull her over the fence... he asked her if she's okay and to give her some water... and then asked us to move back a little " I know you love me, but you also need air" or something along these lines. Then he rambled about sharing water... and sharing love, being one family; also talked about how amazing is that he's dad now, he looked so proud! *awww*

During the concert he went off stage and to front row few times, but unfortunatelly I was nowhere close :( But you knew he's there, cos people moved in a second, hehe. He definitely knows how to work the crowd <3

Overall, the concert was amaaaazing, seeing him live is just... *loss of words* I couldn't believe he looks so gorgeous <3 Totally worth 9 hour ride to Budapest and 9 back home!

Hey, by the way, in this video you actually see what I said about him being cross eyed, I've never thought about it before, but RL up close it was kinda obvious, and in this video you can see it very clearly +59 sec into the video + forward ... but he's cute in it tho, it fits him, he seem a bit more "human" and vulnerable, not "so just perfect" in it, even if he is just 10000% cute in the vid. ...

its so very disappointing that people cannot accept something new and wonderful that is a little bit out there... it always hurts so much to be reminded that some places are not quite so tolerant of oddities as NYC is. I worry about the NYC live now anyway, even though I know most likely nothing will happen, because (a)it is more acceptable to be eccentric and (b)a LOT of the co-miyavi here are guys. the kind that have long hair and wear leather, studs and judas priest shirts. their girlfriends are about the same. Well I red on his myspace he got injured on the europe tour (felt of the stage) And he is in a bad condition now because of the injury and there were some problems with the band and the venues o something so the US dates been cancelled and rescheduled. They said he is going back to Japan to get medical treatment. Hospital in Mexico said he was in bad condition and can't go further with the tour.

I was pretty shocked that this is really serious about his health. But like I said, I believe seeing Melody and Lovelie will help allot with his recovery

However, after consulting with a local doctor in Mexico of his injury and his health condition, we as a management have come to a decision that it is not feasible for Miyavi to continue, and is best for him to return to Japan immediately to seek medical treatment.

We are incredibly sorry for the disappointment this may cause all of the fans in the US, but we sincerely ask for your understanding of this matter. This is to ensure a better performance with the band in it's best condition.

Miyavi himself wasn't very specific about his health on his own blog, so I'm not suprise she didn't say anyhting about him. She posted a bog about her daughter and how she changed her life,not about about Miyavi even if she mentionned him. I guess she feel like it's his own responsability to rassure fans and to explain the situation about his health.
Anyway, like you said, the most importing thing is that he seems to be doing a lot better
