Dear President/Chief of Convention:

Following the results of past discussions and planning done I wish to extend my sincerest of apologies to your company. I would also wish to express utmost gratitude for all of your co-operation up to this day.

It is very regretful that we have come to this unfavorable decision and again I express my deepest apologies. (The main reason that can be said on the cancellation of this joint venture is due to the unavailability of the engineer who is consigned to Miyavi to attend the conventions, thus fear of the inability of holding concerts up to standards required.)

Due to the final result of this, I am taking extra care and precaution and intend in every way to avoid such a circumstance from repeating again.

My sincerest apologies go out to the organizers and everyone concerned for all inconveniences caused. I deeply apologize.

Although these are only words on paper, again I express my deepest of apologies.

So I finally see the Itoshi Hito PV and I love it, actually I think that one PV and song has made me interested again. For a while I had lost interest in him, as his last single didn't impress me, but now I feel my love coming back. But what is the deal with the Baby Ne?

Oh and NEWS. I saw this both on his official site, and on a forum. And I can't give you a link cause I am at work and those sites are blocked, BUT Miyavi has released a date for the single after Dear My Friend/Itoshit Hito. And has 2 new albums out. They are going to be released in August and September. More News will be released on May 1st. But I do know that the name for the album released in August is MYV POPS. The other album I didn't know the Kanji for its title. I am sorry I can't give more detailed info on it, but look on his official site or check out the live journals or Batsu.

Wow Miyavi has been a pretty busy boy. I am happy he is taking a break, cause he's been wearing himself out. I mean Dear My Friend/Itoshi Hito has just been released, and already they are announcing a New Single and 2 New Albums. The only thing I worry about though, is A)the name of the Album MYV POP worries me, as his music has been getting poppier, and while their is nothing wrong with pop music (to this day I still like NSYNC and I listen to a good amount of J-Pop as well) I hope this isn't a pop alblum. B) is that Miyavi has been working alot lately and releasing singles very fast. I hope that these albums aren't rushed and sloppily done. And while it hasn't been said yet I think these will be mini albums as two full length albums in such a short amound of time is to much. What is anyone elses idea on this?

First off, a new maxi-single has just been announced: Kimi ni negai o will be released on July 5th. So far, no details have been released regarding different versions or pricing.
Next, it seems that fans will have to look forward to not one, but TWO new albums. MYV☆POPS will be released in August and miyavi –miyaviuta- uta will be released in September. No specific dates have been announced yet.
Finally, for those who haven’t bought all of his DVDs, they’ll be able to catch up, thanks to a new low price of his second clip DVD: hitorigei – kaette kit a Mr. Visual Kei. It is now priced at 3528 yen, instead of the original 5040 yen. His Budokan live DVD, Miyavi- indies last live- LIVE in Budokan will also be reduced in price from 3990 yen to 2793 yen.

Two questions..
1) I was looking at his old journals and 3 years ago he wrote something about him going back to school. Did he ever finish if so what did he major in?

2) The whole Daigo x Miyavi thing happened years ago. Are they still friends and do they have plans on doing another show or something?

Hey Miyavi is doing pretty good in Japan. According to JaME his single Dear My Friend is #6 on the Oricon charts. Pretty good I think that it is his first time being in the top 10 so thats great.

One of my main criticisms on his music is that there's no focus; it's just chaos.)
5) The guy's crazy, wacky and cute (which is probably why he's so popular); he just doesn't have that much going for him music-wise.

well my personal favorites are Onpu no Tegami, Are you ready to rock?, Shouri no V-rock, Yamete Shite Sawaranaide, Shoukyo to sakujyo, papa mama nozomare nu baby, aho matsuri and the ashita series (there are three ashita songs)

well i can list a whole lot more but those are the ones that usually pop into my head.. there's actually a mix of ballad type songs, acoustic, and rock... he's very versatile...

and i admit it took me a while to like him too (about a YEAR!) so i know where you're coming from... but now i love his stuff!

And I think you're refering to the old rocker Miyavi. It was definitely chaotic and...sometimes really annoying...but his music is MUCH different now!!

But it's really good. Most people at first really don't like Miyavi and I think it's because they listened to too much earlier bad songs....but depending, if you hear his new ones they're really really good. He has so much potential and he's getting better and better.

I got to know Meevs though 2 songs and 1 bad due le quartz picture, so I wasn't in love with him from the start, but I DID like his music.
When I got sick and tired of those 2 songs I went out to hunt for moooore and thats when I found out what eyecandy Meevs really is^^

My theorie is that the type of music you like is somewhat the description of your character.
So thats why people are so sensitive when someone insults their music. It's sortof like insulting someone's personality.

I for one have no problem with that. I just hope that they would express their opinion in a respectful manner so as not to offend any of the fans.

You dont have to like him... I mean one of my friends hated his music and thought he was to damn good looking for his own good!! (he is to damn good looking though!!:D) and that people only like him for his looks which i think there are some people who do that but i dont think anyone on this forum does!! but if you give him a chance you may end up loving him... I wasnt to sure about his music to begin with but it stedily grew on me, very fast admitedly!! but now i cant get enough of it!!! Are You Ready To Rock was the first song I heard from Miyavi....I was hooked! The first video I saw was with Miyavi slappin on his guitar at LFX I mean....Who would not fall in love with him after that!! And it wasn't for the image! It was for how damn good a guitarist it is!! My friends love him and they try to play like him XDDDDD *In their dreams*

I have a lot of guy friends that like miyavi...and definitely not for the image hahaha....they think he looks like a girl and b/c of that he's ugly >_< (But some think he'll make such a pretty girl hahaha...I've turned them gay XDD)

Our bassist isn't too keen on J-Music, cause he doesn't understand a word (which is his major reason for not really liking it :okashii: ), but at least he seems to really like Miyavi's guitarplay. I gave him now and then a few links on youtube, and now he actually enjoys listening to Miyavi (and even recognizes his songs and remembered his name - last time after bandpractice in the car, while listening to Shindemo Boogie Woogie live "Isn't that Miyavi?" :yeahh: ).
Could it be that it's just some Mum-thing for them to say no to piercings? :clueless: I started going on about piercings by Mum with about 12 years, and after about a year was finally allowed to have a nosering. The actual Nirvana version of Blew is alright. But for some reason I like Miyavi's cover better even though he can't pronounce the words.

Maybe it's because I LOVE Miyavi and not so much Nirvana.
Miyavi's voice sounds so nice in that clip.

So for Japanese standards he's really quite good.

Hello everyone! I've never written anything on this thread but I read it, so I decided to put in my two cents. I started listening to Miyavi a few months ago when I took interest in Asian music. I downloaded some Chinese punk and JRock, and Miyavi was the first one I liked. Especially Night In Girl, Rock No Gyakushu, Joushou Gaidou, Itoshii Hito, ROCK'N'ROLL IS NOT DEAD and Papa Mama ~Nozomare nu Baby~. His voice is getting better and better. The ''mou ii yo, mou ii yottara'' part is just... :blush::bravo: I also like Due'le Quartz and Dir en Grey.

supposedly, his real name relates to his stagename "miyavi" and when U look at the kanji for ishihari takamasa, it looks almost the same so that might definitely be his real name..not sure though.

I dragged myself out to the city, walked 20 blocks and got myself TWO Miyavi singles! I got the Dear My Friend regular version and Jibun Kakumei -2003-
I'm so happy right now. I'll do it again when his new albums come out!

^ that is very true. those screaming fangirls in the videos annoy me to no end. I can understand screaming at a concert since its loud and you get caught up in the music. But those girls that scream at interviews or on the street or on shows are too much.

Yeah, I've seen a video where Japanese fangirls walk down the street dressed like Meev, their hair done like Meev's, piercings same as his and fake cigarette sticks in their mouths. Making silly faces like he does and screaming his name. That's weird. Attack of the Miyavi clones. I'd be scared if I was him.
