ああや〜い雪祭り

I want to go to 札幌 (Sapporo) so badly to see 雪祭り (yuki-matsuri -- snow festival). I want to move to 札幌. A dream, which will hopfully be fufilled.. (or however you spell that XD) Anyone ever been to 雪祭り, 札幌, or 北海道 (Hokkaidô) period? Is 雪祭り beautiful? The pictures are so beautiful, I can't imagine what it's like in real life!

I've never been myself but I really hope you get the chance and have already started saving for it ;). And bring thermal underwear plus a decent pair of water proof spiked boots. :p There's just nothing else to do in Hokkaido that time of year, everything closes for the winter, or I would think about it more seriously too....
