View Full Version : Should I risk it?

Okay so I am going to Japan to see Dir en grey. The last Dir en grey show I'm going to is in Fukuoka on the 19th. Now Gazette is doing a show in Aichi on the 20th. My plane leaves on the 21st from Osaka airport at 1:30 meaning I need to be at the airport 10 ish.

NOW heres the kicker Fukuoka is like 7+ hrs from Aichi even buy shikansen. Now if I leave early in the morning like 6am I will make it to Aichi in time to check in to my hotel, get lost, and get to the venue.

Aichi is closer to Osaka then Fukuoka is, its only 5hrs away by shikansen. So if I leave early to Osaka I SHOULD make it to the airport in time.

Its a stretch and in order to pull it off I will have to manage my time to a T. What I want to do is doable but not easily. And it will be a headache definately. But is seeing Gazette worth risking missing your plane?

Seeing two of your favourite bands in an extremely short space of time is a once in a lifetime chance that many people (including myself) can only dream of.
I say do it, even if you end up missing your plane and have to camp out at the airport for the rest of the week.
You only live once, right?:-)

And think of the memories, and bragging rights.
HAVE YOU THOUGHT OF THE BRAGGING RIGHTS?

OMG DO IT. It's Gazette for god's sake. And the headache and risks and all that will be WORTH IT :D ;-)

I say go for it, and I'm not even the hugest Gazette fan!
*thinking* if you need to be at the airport by 10, and Aichi is 5 hours away from Osaka, you'll need to leave Osaka at 5, which is hella early and a pain, but if Fukuoka is even further away, you'd have to be up even earlier, ne? So why not go see Gazette in Aichi! You'll probably be a bit knackered, but hey, you'd expect to be a bit tired after your Diru marathon anyway! :giggle: Go for it; you'll probably kick yourself if you don't.

The only other thing is the money... depends how much you NEED to save that money... :buuh:

lol lucky you  if you have enough money DO IT ! if i were you wouldn't think about that...but i have to admit that first of all Dir en grey were the band which got me keen on j-rock and Gazette are my fav and it is because of what i've seen live from them on youtube...
i have to admit that their performances live are incredible....it's just better than their cds and ...lol
it is a lifetime chance and i can only wish to experience such thing...
that's my opinion ...and pls if you go can you share what happened? :-)

Yea Kinsoa thats the thing. The Gazette live is sold out. And there are tickets on Yahoo Auctions. But the few tickets up have like a TON of people bidding on them and after spending damn near $600 on Dir tickets (BUT OMG DO WE HAVE AWESOME TICKETS FOR 2/3 OF THE SHOWS) I am a bit weary of Yahoo Auctions. I say the highest amount I am willing to spend for a Gazette ticket is like $80.

If it's possible then i'd say go for it.
I would pull and all nighter, wait at train stations, or hail a darn cab to make it to see Gazette. Stress is proof that we're alive. HAHA. if you pull this off you'll probably have another great memory to look back on.

Good luck... and if you do decide to do it, hopefully no train delays take place. I'm beginning to hate trains since I was delayed for over 2 hours this weekend :auch:

It seems u have set ur upper limit what ur prepared to go on the tickets, so that's good, u know what u want and stick to it. Even tho it'd be so cool to go, it's no fun having money worries for months afterwards. So yeah.. I really hope u can get tickets at the price u want! :p

from my own experience of these things...
you won't feel tired the next morning...
liklyness of the thing is the adrenalin will still be running from the night before, adn the next morning you'll be fine to get up that early.
i have gone to parties many a time at which i've got 4 hours sleep before having to get up and work 8-5 at the riding school yard...
i was ill later on during the week, but hey, i got through the day fine!
:D

i say DO EEEEET!!!!!!!!!
because it's friking GAZETTE MAN! *is listening to them now*
you are SO lucky to get this opotunity!!!!!!!!!!!

however reading what you said about the tickets...
well, like Kinsao said, you seem to have pretty much got your mind set, which is good.

i wouldn't spend more money than you have on them because also in my experience getting home can end up costing more than you exspect (even if you think you've paied everything already) >.<

I already did it. Except I stayed in Japan longer, so I saw them in Hiroshima not Nagoya.

I'd go with risk it... I've risked missing planes for much less than GazettE!!! If it's possibly and you have the determination to see the band and get on the plane then I dont see why you can't do it. Just make sure you plan what you're doin really clearly before you start. And make sure you know your rout as getting lost at the last minute would really **** everything up!

Although saying that, to be honest... you're asking a load o ragin J-rockers! Of course we're gona tell you to see them!!!
