D[di:] made her debut with her maiden work “Fantastic Silent”. With her 2nd published work, “Kigurumi”, D[di:] invented a new literary style, called “Novel-Comic” and has drawn attention. With her unique style using various ways of expression, D[di:] is a mixed-artist who continues to release her works one after another.

D[di:] has been active in wide range of art forms including Novel,Illustration, Drawing, Music, Fashion etc.

she's got an amazing voice (i think better than shiina ringo) and her stuff is really veried!
from gritty electro rock, to funky dace mixes.
i noticed there wasn't a thread on her while i was listning, and... yeah, figgured she needed one... anyone know of her?

i supose the first thing i heard by her was dragon fly, and that got me completely hooked....
i've only heared 2 of her albums, but i love everything on there...
i think reading that she dose illustrations and grphic design really did it for me though XD
gotta love the multi talented ^.^

Well, that's one thing I didn't know about her! In a first place, I crashed into her because I was looking for that j-rock band: D. And she popped out. So I decided to listen to her and downloaded an album, but I can't tell you which one cos I have it at work. But I remember I liked her style. And she's pretty too.

i don't know much about her at all...
but i think i might prod my friend into looking at her OHP and doing some translations... XD
though... i have a feeling that's all there is on her on there...

i love her voice... it's like... graspy, but still got a lot of tone... and it really suites the styles of music she plays.
if the album you got was Daisy, that's my favorit ^.^

Well... i don't think they do think of it when they pick a name. Maybe we should adress them a lettler to tell them.. of put a big sign somewhere... I'd like that.. but of course not in Japan, i could go to jail and that's not exactly how I plan to spent my time when I get there...

Do you know if she has a official web site? I didn't bother to look up for it, besides, I like vampires and the picture of one of them made me forgot what was I looking for in a first place.

Have you notice?? There's only you and I in this thread.. feels weird. Like when somebody asks me what's my favourite band and I say: X-japan... they look at me almost calling me freak... shoot!!!

And how couldn't I have them as favourites? X-Japan fills all of my expectations of what metal/rock should be. Of course not the only band I listen to. I also like Kagrra.

How did I get into them? ... *thinks hard* I guess it was just so much hearing about them. I decided to download a minialbum and I liked what I heard. I dont even know their names...

and the weird look people give me is because here where I live,this music, genre and even country, is unknown. I have to get everything from the net cos there isnt one store related to j.music in thousands of miles around the desert...

i love people like you... it means i can teach you everything there is to know about Kagrra, XD
(btw, the holw deal with the ',' is they changed their name in 2004 from 'Kagrra' to 'Kagrra,' after they whent major ^.^)
it also menas you're an actual fan of their music too... i mena, i'm sure people are... but sometimes i think it's bad to get into a band because you theink they 'look cute' because it alters your judgment... slightly ^^;
if you go to the bands bit there's a thread... a looooooooooooooong time ago i started it and no-one was interested, but i was so obsessed i still talked about them everywhere else XD so... i rebooted the thread and people were like YAY a Kagrra, thread! XD
there's pictures and a bio for the band members in the first page... a teeny bit of history in the opening bit, but not much ^^; however, i did write their bio on last.fm: http://www.last.fm/music/Kagrra%2C/+wiki

lol, well... finding Jrock or even Jmusic is a chure anywhere unless you're in France or Germany :okashii:
aperently there are 2 places in the UK that sell it... i've only ever seen one, and it's £24 (about $50 US) for a CD there.... they do sell SHOXX though... and a fair few other magazines... but they're still £13 *dead*

japanese products are expensive and the prize goes higher with the importation. Maybe is and advantage to buy online. Gackt Diabolos album cost me 27 usd, shipping included. which I think is very much okay if I compare it to some national artist.

And I bought some time ago, a 3 month subscription to Fool's mate magazine... that hurted. 45 usd... shipping included. I'll never do that again.

the story of me and Kagrra,...
i had a few tracs on my computer, and a picture of these pretty men in kimonos... i loved that picture, and the few tracks were amongst the favorite in my play list....
..... it took me THREE MONTHS to work out that those tracks were by THE SAME ARTIST and off the same album infact, not only that, but this particular band was the very smae band i had the picture for XDDDDD

yeah, inporting's rediculously exspencive >.<
but yesasia's pretty good on proces...
i still find it rediculose to spend 14 odd US$s on just on single... but... J-music's usually good with that, and you often get your money's worth... but still >.<
they are, as you mentioned, not much cheeper in Japan, so... it's fair i guess :relief:

Gackt cancer?? Maybe he got it wrong because you'll see.. he's cancer (starsign).. and hides out every time he can because he's like this vampire thing???.... Ok, whatever. But no. he's not sick as far as I know.

I said final. Yes,, but the final concert of his Diabolos tour, which last like two months or so and the last one was on december 24. They say he's planning a short tour through america next year, along with Yoshiki, former drummer and pianist from X-japan.

I don't buy that much. Besides, I kinda have a problem with credit cards and paypal system.

Thats because there is a band called D. The vocalist is Asagi and is a Visual Kei band, very recent, actually, but still, now you can find its members doing stuff on their own. Asagi has a solo proyect and so does Ruiza.

D[di:]'s artwork is among one of my favorites. I love her style! Both of her albums are full of emotion and rage...hell I like all the songs....

I remember first seeing her on J-MTV while I was at a club in Japan, I couldn't wait to search for her and get her album.

Every month I check her website hoping for another single or CD.....I think it's time for another!!!!!

still, i agree, it's time for something more, she has an amazing voice and song writing talent... 2 albums and a single do not give her justice >.<
