i saw in a dictionary that Kurai meant Dark
but however... who knows!
so, does Kurai mean Dark???

Its kanji is 暗い I think.
暗(い) = kura(i)
Bit of confusion here I think. Kurai does indeed mean 'dark', but the 'kurai' that is represented by your kanji character picture (位) there means 'rank' or 'position', as in ones rank in an organisation.
