Hi folks

I've saved up a bunch of Japanese words and English words I'd like to have translated for quite a while and would love some help on them. They're a mixed bag so here we go! For the Japanese words that I am not sure of, I will put a * next to them (not sure as in, I'm not sure if that is exactly the word, but I will put the suspected meaning from the context)

1. What is a common word for describing something elastic, like a rubber band?

2. What is a common word for fluffy?

1. いずったらたいへんなことになる - Is the word いずる? for 'mess up'?

2. てめえおれのことそこまでこけねえ! - don't ridicule me? Does the word こける mean ridicule?

3. おかないかお - Does this mean a 'sad face?'

Thanks everyone. I hope those Japanese words are correct. If not, please inform!

1. What is a common word for describing something elastic, like a rubber band?

I don't think there's just one word equivalent to elastic.
To be elastic can be translated as:
伸縮性(しんしゅくせい)のある
伸(の)び縮(ちぢ)みする
伸びる means to expand, 縮む means to shrink.

If "elastic" is used to express something is not stiff
弾力性(だんりょくせい)がある
弾力(だんりょく) means elastic force, resilience.

2. What is a common word for fluffy?

Mimetic word ふわふわ is the most commonly used word, I think.

1. いずったらたいへんなことになる - Is the word いずる? for 'mess up'?

I have no idea. I've never heard it before. Could it be a dialect?

2. てめえおれのことそこまでこけねえ! - don't ridicule me? Does the word こける mean ridicule?

こける means to fall down, to tripple down.
But it does not fit the sentence above.
こけにする means to insult.
But the conjugation of こけねえ again does not fit.
Can you check what exactly the original sentence says?

3. おかないかお - Does this mean a 'sad face?'

There's no adjective おかない.
うかない顔(かお) : unhappy face/expression
おっかない顔(かお) : scary face/expression (usually because of anger, etc.)

Hope the above helps.

Thanks Undrentide.

Hmm. The Japanese words I caught just from listening and memory. So I can't place where it came from or even if the word is correct or not! I just took a wild stab and asked. I listened to it a few times and that is what I can make of it. It sure did sound like "いずったら"

For the first one, 'elastic', I meant what would one say if they touched something 'elasticy'. Like, if I was holding a teddy bear, I would say...わ!!!!可愛い!!!。

Now if I was stretching a rubber band, I would say.. わ!!! _________ !

So what would I say if I was stretching a rubber band?

And thanks again for your help!
