I've added another feature that's mainly meant to be used by admins and moderators. If you happen to be absent from the board for an extended period of time and you want forum members to know about it, head for the user control panel and set an "Away" message.

ADDENDUM:

Due to technical reasons the "away" feature has been removed from the control panel.
